Close proximity to thorpe park and good value for money.

Personal preference but as it was on the main road it was a little noisy from traffic.

Everything was really lovely, very clean and tidy. Realy nice original features and a really nice building, the manager who had just come back from maternity leave was so friendly and helpful. My only regret is we didn't try the food we went to pizza express which I wouldn't recommend but as we walked out I saw the meals in the pub and it looked amazing!! Anyway I would definitely recommend this hotel you can't hear any noise from the pub area or the outside area only noise is the aeroplanes which is to be expected, there's a few minor things like the lighting in the room to do makeup wasn't great but I sat on floor to do makeup which to me wasn't a massive issue and certainly wouldn't put me off staying again. Thank you for having us :)

Everything was fab thank you!

Fantastic welcome. Flexible checking and out arrangements made the stay very easy. The availability of a triple room was excellent as we are a family of 5 which not all places accommodates easily. Comfortable room with tea and coffee facilities. Lovely pub with great atmosphere and super food. Parking on site.

The beds were very soft...personal preference but it did hamper my sleep. The room was quite warm and the pub was on a busy road, so noisy with the window open. Breakfast not available although lots of options nearby - the owner recommended a lovely cafe.

The owner was brilliant carrying our bags up to our room. Advising us where we could get a meal locally. The area seamed very friendly in the shops and restaurant. The beds were really comfy. The décor was nice, and the matching bedding was good quality.

Quite a few stairs to room. but it made it quirky. No bedside light next to my bed the girls had their's. The green emergency exit light was quite bright all night. The tv was not tuned in but to late to worry about getting it sorted out, so didn't bother. Nice and close to Thorpe Park. Thumbs up.

A really lovely old pub/hotel. Food was amazing, and took less then 10 minutes to get to Thorpe park. Comfy bed, and quite enough area for where you’re staying. Definitely stay again

Shower is very small, height was. My partner who’s about 5ft 11 struggled with the shower head as it’s unable to be adjusted. Had a dirty pillow, unfortunately when we realised pub was shut so unable to change it. There was also a dip in the floor near the bed/tv so kept tripping on it (however it’s an old place so didn’t bother us)

They had few guests and I believe we were upgraded in rooms. We booked a queen bed and were in a much bigger room. It was the last night of our trip and that space really help us gather our things and pack for the trip home. The restaurant and bar downstairs were fun. We chatted with some of the other bar patrons for quite some time. We had originally planned to eat elsewhere but our conversations lead us to staying in for the evening (we had already gone out to see the town when we first arrived).

There is no staff in the AM. I thought I left my phone in my room and panicked thinking we'd have to leave without it. That would be the only draw back...not having anyone to let you back in should you find yourself in that same panic (check TWICE before you drop off the keys and let the door close behind you). Luckily for me I put my phone where it didn't belong and found it after tearing the car apart. I can laugh about it now but it was a nightmare when going through it.

The staff was so very friendly. They have exceeded my expectations. I had planned a 2 adults business trip at first but our nanny fell ill and I had to alter everything to take our daughter with us. So it was a business/family trip. It was all last minute but the staff managed it and gave us a bigger room we felt welcomed in. ... The building was historical and had this kind of architecture I very much appreciate. I loved the bed and the furniture and how refurbished was the room and how the bathroom was decorated. ... And room service was good- there was enough tea coffee and milk and sugar even safisfy my husband (he always uses all of the regular supplies in like first 15 minutes). I grately regret I'd had no time to try the restaurant downstairs. I will do so next time in April I hope. As I was traveling with a 4 year old - I don't have any photos because I haven't managed to take them before my daughter turned the room into her private playground. Sorry. Believe from words that the room 7 is more than ok :)

Well I didn't like that I couldn't make the room warmer when I wanted it so there were moments during the night and evening I felt quite cold even under a thick duvet and throw the room was supplied. And I could hear all the buzzing noise from the ventulation maschines but they have come quiet during night time.

The architecture of the house. The room. There was no breakfast and that is just oke. Dinner was very nice. The terrace where you could drink a beer and so on was attended by visitors from the neigbourhood and all kinds of visitors. Very nice. Very important is that we could park our car on the premises.

We had to prospone our visit for a year because of severe illness. In the mean time the price had gone up with 20% (same price for one day less)

-Comfortable Beds -Great Wardrobe Space -Bathroom included a Bath Tub which is rare to see these days -Plenty of Tea and Coffee provided too -Amazing Location stayed over as result of visiting Thorpe Park and it was a matter of 5minutes to drive there.

-Main Door into the room could do with being thicker as any foot traffic on the other side was easily heard but I understand this isn’t likely to be possible given the age of the property. -Downstairs Pub was a bit on the pricy side when it came to drinks although the food looked well priced from what we seen -Rooms could of done with a bit of a better clean, as things like the Lampshade were quite obviously dusty, and the bath tub had bits of rubbish and marks within it making it look on the unclean side, apart from that however the room was for the most part clean

Was in a good location for what we needed and staff were extremely friendly and nothing too much trouble.

Unfortunately we were in a room in the front of the building which had sash windows and because it is a listed building it seemed they were the original windows, so we didn't sleep great due to the constant road noise outside. The ceiling and bathroom need a little attention and updating, but that didn't really put us off
