Moxy Southampton

Loved the decor of the room, very home like and comfy. 👍Mood lighting and under bed sensor light 👍Nice comfy bed 👍Great location and quiet outside 👍Good sized TV

😐 No clothes storage/wardrobes. A shelf even, would’ve been nice. There was a hook on the wall with 4 clothes hangers though. 😐 Shower was decent but would’ve liked a bit more pressure. 😐One lift out of order so long waits/had to use stairs a lot. 😐 Lot of banging noise from above room. Luckily a couple only stayed for one night in the room next door to me as walls are quite thin.

Location was good The smell of the hand wash and shampoo was divine. Room was a good size and quirky. Staff are wonderful. Breakfast was good too. Overall a good hotel

There was a funny wet nappy smell coming from the bathroom the next morning. The artwork in the room looked like a scarecrow was going to murder me in my sleep. The sheets felt dirty? Maybe rough or a low thread count? I'm not sure but they didn't feel like "hotel sheets"

Staff: friendly, helpful, nice people Room + Bathroom: Modern, spacious, clean, everything you need Location: Very good. 10 Minutes to train station, 5 Minutes to ferry, 2 Minutes to the city.

Breakfast: Could be more healthy und sustainable. Bathroom: The guest has to open the drain of the washbasin by hand every time the room got cleaned. Sustainability: Moxi could do a lot to improve its sustainability. Examples: Towels don't have to be cleaned every day. The guest should decide. Towel on the floor: Please clean it. Towel not on the floor: I use it again. It is not possible to move in the room without switching on a light beneath the bed - even in broad daylight. To recommend opening the window, when the room is to hot in winter or to cold in summer, is not a solution - in times of global warming it is a problem.

Quirky and nice food. Great location very comfortable beds and decent blackout curtains. Great for all travellers, families and solo.

On arrival the staff member was ok but knowing it was our first visit didn't tell me how to get to our room or use the lift (until I asked) also didn't mention free drink which is a small thing but also didn't ask if we wanted to book for breakfast/dinner etc. Just very matter of fact. Barman that evening not very friendly either but it didn't detract from the aesthetic or the comfort.

The location is great for my use as a business stay. There are food shops close by and a shopping mall and cinema right next door. The rooms are clean and have most of what you need. They just don't have a decent work area if you need to sit and work in your room. There is just a glass shelf and a soft chair to sit on.

The restaurant is not for me. It's not table service, but more like a fast food joint. You order at the bar and then just need to hang around while it's cooked, so you can claim it, when it comes out. I also really don't understand why the hotel has developed a bespoke tv system and then disabled the subtitle functionality from every channel! WHY????

Clean, comfortable, great location close to the town centre and train station and overnight parking spaces, staff were friendly, complimentary drink at bar, 24hr desk which helped when I arrived at 2am, overall nice decor felt modern, air con was a must that week as it was so warm outside soooo glad to have it. Could hook tv up to Netflix or prime video, pretty good sound proofing made for a good night sleep.

Minor things like: Tea in room was tetly tea which I personally dislike and would have been nice to get a bit more milk as those sachets only really make enough for one mug full, there weren't any spoons just little wooden sticks which when I am staying in a hotel long enough I would prefer a spoon just so I can make a cup of soup or pot noodle or somethingto use if I get takeout. Nothing really an issue just personal taste I would definitely stay again and have been there several times now.

It was close to the cruise port and had a 24 hour bar where you could buy drinks or snacks. The lighting in the room is wonderful. The base of the bed lights up when there’s movement, but not to the point where it would disturb your partner. And there’s a light on each side, so one person is able to read at night with also without disturbing the other.

We thought the buffet breakfast was a bit expensive at 18 pounds.  But it was handy. We had booked a taxi to the cruise port the night before with the hotel staff. But apparently they never made the phone call because a taxi service that we were not on the list. It made for a long way and we had to take two taxis which made it more expensive because we had 4 people traveling.

We chose the MOXY Southampton for its proximity to Berth 101 of the City Cruise Terminal (where the Celebrity cruise ships dock). The hotel is located within a 5-10 minute walk to the terminal. Upon landing at Heathrow, we took a one-hour National Express bus ride to the Southampton bus terminal, and the MOXY was located only two blocks away. If one was arriving (or leaving) by train, the Southampton Central rail station is just one additional block away. The room was basic and clean, and large enough for our needs during our brief pre-cruise stay. The hotel is just steps away from a large shopping complex with a multitude of restaurants. If you are cruising out of Southampton, the MOXY can't be beaten for its convenient location. Pricing is consistent with similar no-frills hotels (e.g., IBIS).

The food and drink options were extremely limited at the on-site MOXY "restaurant." Unless you are only interested in a brew or two, you will likely find much better food and drink options off-site in the nearby shopping complex.

all of it the hotel is beautiful what you get for the price is great room was clean spacious and great tv right in the town so walking distance of everything parking on site witch is great you can keep car there for duration of stay make sure you check your little booklet with the key card as you get two complienty drinks we didn’t see this till check out but they still let us take a drink the breakfast was good clean hot food cold milk ect

only thing we would say is the drinks are abit pricey and shower just droopy no power and if your staying for more then one two nights bring hangers

Close to all shops in Southampton and train station and cruise terminal you need a taxi to get to your destination if you don't drive we did the taxi outside train station to hotel very easy and to cruise terminal to no stress at all in traveling hotel very modern clean food eg breakfast all what you can eat excellent staff were very helpful indeed bedroom beautiful and clean and we could see our cruise ship from our bedroom window which was nice we were going on msc virtuosa at the horizon terminal would recommend friends and family to stay there to
