The location was ideal for my needs. Both dinner and breakfast were good, with plenty of choice (breakfast) but dinner was less so. Staff did try to help where they could, this was primarily in the Concorde as this is where food is served.

Have been several times, but noticed some deterioration. Such as small holes in chairs, one in our room, and one chair in dinning area was damaged. It’s looking a bit tired! Primarily in the actual hotel. Not warned on second night to book for dinner and that there was a function on so limited space.

Breakfast was very good. The room was a little tired but was told they were in the process of renovation, however the room was quite large and the bed and facilities were excellent. The gardens of the hotel can only be described as superb and the decking area was absolutely brilliant. The staff went above and beyond and were brilliant.

The Room. I have booked again for when the rooms are refurbished because the hotel and staff were brilliant.

We arrived late and greeted by the night porter, who was very helpful and kind. The rooms were comfortable and well presented. The grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful, also very quiet, even though it is off of a main road, you could not hear the traffic. Easy access for my disabled daughter and for myself. All staff were lovely.

I ran a bath, when I got in I felt scum around the sides, I therefore did not have my long needed bath. I did report next day and it was sorted. We ate in the attached restaurant for breakfast, I have to say it was awful. My husband and I asked for haddock and poached egg, we got the tail piece of haddock each, about 3 inches long, and it was dry, poached eggs were hard. Mushrooms on all 4 breakfasts were old. The portion sizes were too small compared to other places we stayed. Needless to say we went elsewhere on our second day to eat. We were going to a funeral and I was too emotional to complain on the day, but did mention to hotel reception who were "surprised"

We liked that the hotel & restaurant were v welcoming to our dog. Some places say they are dog friendly but you find yourself having to sit somewhere other than the main restaurant. Our dog is well behaved and she just sits at the table. The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced . The breakfast was very good and included. The room was clean and the bathroom looked fairly new.

Our room smelt musty, we kept the window open but the smell never left. It was only a standard double bed so we weren’t so comfortable but we should have checked that.

Breakfast was really good and great choice. We had a really good BLT toasted sandwich for lunch and our family joined us for an evening meal as entertainment was available! Service was poorer in the evening unlike all the other meals. Room was comfortable and the venue was really pleasant. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely use again as we are both jazz fans so the pictures brought back many memories.

Slow service for the evening meal. Not a very efficient waitress. Food was fine.

Hotel was good for a nights stay. Staff were lovely. The pub next door was lovely, with delicious dinner and breakfast. We went to see the Artic Monkeys at the Ageas Bowl and the park and ride was just round the corner from the hotel. Perfect location for us.

Room a little outdated, air con didn’t seem to work so was quite warm but still comfortable and clean.

Comfortable large bed. Excellent restaurant next door where the staff couldn't do enough to make the visit pleasurable. Exceptional poached eggs at breakfast - cooked to order rather than a buffet. Loads of parking

Had a garden terrace room but people working out in the garden were quite noisy from early on. Shingle in the car park is hard to wheel a case ovee

A lovely hotel with really friendly, personable staff. Peaceful and relaxing stay. Everywhere spotlessly clean and a lovely big room and en suite, comfy bed and quiet location. Fascinating jazz club history and a wonderful idea to have a copy of the book about the first 50 years of the Concorde Club in the room. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Highly recommended.

We hadn't been aware of the events being run by the hotel and they ensured we were able to get tickets. The meal was lovely in the evening, the room a little small but very clean and warm, The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. We had a great evening at the event and were a few steps back to the hotel. The owner was so nice when they had a short power cut, so apologetic and really friendly, a real personal touch.

small room and the view on to the car park not great, plus being next to stairs we would hear other guests going up and down the stairs.

We spoke to three different staff on reception and they were all really friendly and helpful (thank you). The evening meal in the adjoining 'moldy fig' was delicious (paid for separately). The restaurant has live music (jazz in particular). We did find out that they do quite a few inclusive packages for shows and cruise/airport stays etc. There is an adjoining club called 'the Concorde' where we thoroughly enjoyed a Jim Davidson gig. He provided a much-needed laugh. In fact, we laughed for the entire time he was on stage. Thanks Jim. The shower in the room was a lovely power shower. The tea and coffee in the room were good. Nice fluffy white towels. Breakfast was very good. Cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, fruit juice that you help yourself to. The hot breakfast is ordered and cooked fresh. The bacon was DELICIOUS !! We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. So thank you for such an enjoyable stay. We recommend a visit to the Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway, which is within walking distance to the hotel. It is a delightful place where you can ride on the miniature trains and take walks around the lovely lake. There is a cafe there too. We walked back to Southampton Airport Parkway railway station from there. The hotel is a good choice for people going on holiday from Southampton Airport, and even the Port for cruises. They also host weddings etc. We would stay again, and recommend the hotel to others.

The mattress was a bit on the hard side which may suit some people. We struggle because of having Fibromyalgia, but that is more our problem than the hotels. You can never please everyone !! We didn't like the coffee at breakfast. (That doesn't apply only to this hotel). We never do like coffee made in jugs. I wish all hotels provided coffee machines. We ended up buying a latte. The baths are very deep with no slipmat. Dangerous !! We had to use a wet towel to stand on in the bath. Admittedly we didn't ask for a slipmat, but I think they should automatically be provided. The Concorde Club was too hot. Please put the air conditioning on full blast. It almost stops the enjoyment of the shows !!
