the room was very clean and I was placed in a room where I didnt hear any noise from the restaurant or bar downstairs which was great so slept like a charm, i liked how the room also had wifi, on suite bathroom and I felt the room was a perfect size just for me. the restaurant downstairs was nice and very clean and would recomend it if you want to try something different and it was my first time staying in a hotel that was self checkin which was weird at first but it was nice they had included all the information you need on both the front door, next to the restaurant, in your room and on your confmation email/text, so was very easy and quick to get into the room. so would definitely stay again

i was confused on breakfast, i thought i could just go down to the restaurant in the morning and order, turns out they were closed until 12pm and i now think you needed to order the night before, which it should have been made clean on the confmation text and email as it said i could order before my stay, during my stay or on this number, so i went to order breakfast using the phone number i was given after i woke up, to asked how can i order breakfast, the bloke on the phone asked for my room number and then hangup on me, so in the end i decied to eat somewhere else for both night i was there.

Its unfair this place doesn't have a 10 star review therefore, I'm giving it the stars it deserves. The room was incredibly clean and cozy. After check-in I had a small issue that wasn't noticed until the middle of the night and when I brought it to staffs attention - they jumped into action immediately/without question to make sure I had what I needed and I couldn't be more appreciative. Also note they responded to me within minutes, in the middle of the night. Just message via whatsapp and you'll be responded to quickly. There was another review from someone mentioning the rooms were "noisy," and I'm here to tell you they were NOT. I'm a light sleeper and I slept like a rock in the extremely comfortable bed that felt like diving into a cloud. You don't hear the bar downstairs at all (its also not opened late) and yes you can hear traffic...when the window is open. You kind of have to pull a bit to get the window to close fully but once shut you cannot hear ANYTHING from the street. My partner and I literally sat at the window with our dinner just waiting for large trucks, cars, box tracks, and tractor trailers to drive by while opening/closing the window as they were passing to see how much you could hear....nothing. If the window is shut properly you will sleep soundly even if you're a light sleeper. This place is also situated right outside of a small medieval town that you have to walk through to get to Southampton cruise terminal. It's about a 25 minute walk from the cruise terminal too which is completely lined with walk ways so you can feel confident about navigating traffic with your luggage to get there. Overall I would highly commend the location, comfort, and attentiveness of the staff and would 10/10 recommend staying in this location. ESPECIALLY if you have a cruise to go to :)

Not a damn thing, I loved my stay.

Firstly, the cost of the room was £64.00. You can’t expect £125.00 of room for £64.00. So room might be slightly smaller than you might expect. That said the room was comfortable, had everything we needed I.e. ample towels, coffee making facilities, tv, fan, ironing facilities in the room, good shower and all absolutely spotlessly clean. And on top of that location was perfect. Ten mins walk from Ocean Cruise Terminal/docks. Cheap safe car park opposite. £8.00 for whole day (0800-2000) and £2.00 for whole night. Easy no ‘face to face’ contact with hotel staff but plenty of clear instructions. Quick to answer email questions.

We did not have much luggage as we were only visiting a ship for the day. If I was going on a cruise I probably would’ve not liked dragging 4 suit cases up the to the top floor. Again, that said for the price, location and quality of room I would have managed.

Room 15 top floor Central location- Close to the venue of where I was attending (The 1865). Also re booked for Roy Chubby Brown at the O2 Guildhall, which is also nice and close. Clean. Comfortable bed. Had a walk in shower and a jacuzzi with fresh towels on a radiator. Well worth £85/£90 for the night.

Not really a dislike, more of a sense of bewilderment. It felt a bit strange not seeing a human being there as it was all remotely organised with the venue sending you the codes via e-mail/text. I guess it's just the times that we're living in.

great location 5 minutes walk to town. Door To the side of a pub. (nice relaxing pub with friendly staff.) if needing somewhere to stay for the night or maybe two this place is ideal. No staff it’s all self service via codes for doors. place decorated nice.

Bed was quite hard and seemed like a small double. bathroom had a bit of a off putting smell. someone’s old chewing gum on the shelf with the cups and glasses. was under the rim of glass. that tells me cleaners didn’t change the glasses so could of been used. (washed mugs before use) after seeing that was a bit uncomfortable in place as not sure what had been cleaned etc. pillows could do with either another two on the bed or fuller ones. drawer broke in bedroom (not that affected the stay) could do with smaller bedside cabinets as the corner of it is very close to pillows so just got to remember.

This is a non-attended hotel. However, the staff who manage it were extremely helpful and arranged for us to have an early check in. It was convenient for us getting off our cruise ship, and to get a ferry the next day to Cowes with some friends, but some distance away from the Central Railway Station.

It is in a slightly noisy location - a busy cross roads - not a problem is you can close the windows. Our one complaint was that we were told that the bar next door provided breakfast, which they do not!

It is a self-check in accommodation and information was sent in text and email that was needed. I liked the fact there was tea and coffee facilities, and bathroom supplies. The bedding was crisp and clean and the towels were white and fluffy. The restaurant and cocktail bar below are not part of the accommodation but are friendly and helpful. I would recommend both to eat and drink in,

The door numbering was different between the sent information and what is on the signs inside the building.

Clean room....amenities...central location...consistent hot water...quiet....quick billing resolution (I came a day late, but called ahead and they immediately adjusted it)...private access...assistance available by phone

Not a complaint, just a warning. There is no staff here at all, and it's very basic in terms of size, mattress, etc. If you, like me, are a simple traveler, then it's a great value option. This is the second time I've stayed here in last 4 years. If you expect luxury or don't like stairs, this won't be for you.

The location was great, a 10 minute walk to centre of town, some great shopping centres and great place for food.

The first room we were in wasn’t great, as my wife has a broken arm and needed a bath. We phoned the bloke and asked if he could change our room and the next morning we were in a room with a bath. The guy who sorted it for us was brilliant. He really was, infact all the staff were on top form, from bar staff to the cleaner. 👍🏻

The check in is online, with a number-key. Staff were very friendly (online) and willing to help out. The rooms are situated above a restaurant, but it's quite quiet. Around the corner is Oxford street with a choice of restaurants and pubs. The city centre is within walking distance, say 10 minutes tot High street. One can park the car just across the road, and the rate is not too bad. Further more it's a good location to start a day trip tot Winchester, which is less than half an hour drive.
