Views from room 7 were exceptional, wonderfully light and airy. Staff were very polite and friendly. Communal eating area had nice atmosphere and views. Breakfast burrito was outstanding and delicious. Pop up Mexican dinner was interesting and belonged in a fine dining restaurant

After a long drive to get to st. Ives, the location is on a busy narrow main road, next to a bus turning circle where stopping is banned. I.e. it's a pretty hostile location to be trying to figure out where to leave your vehicle. There was apparently two options for parking. Giving guests some clear advice and directions in advance of check in, and a simple map, would really help your guests experience. Staff seemed a touch indifferent to these challenges on arrival.

Everything was perfect: The understated design ethic, the music, the excellent food at breakfast and dinner and above all the ambience and service. Harbour House View manages to achieve a chilled and laid back atmosphere without sacrificing efficient service. All this plus the fact that they have dedicated parking and you can walk everywhere from the hotel within St Ives makes it an unbeatable place to stay.

I'm struggling to find something, to be honest. The wifi in the room cut out sometimes but even that was fine most of the time. Connections were good in the public areas. If you need to work whilst there and need reliable wifi in a quiet space St Ives library down the street rents out an office at £15 an hour, which was excellent.

The staff were great during our week stay, very friendly and accommodating. The location is great for the town, views of the harbour during breakfast are amazing. The breakfast was perfectly cooked, very fresh and consistent each day, great vegetarian choices. Room was cleaned daily and hot drinks available throughout, with access to fridge on the landing for storing milk. Car park facility was great, located a short walk away. This is definitely a place we will be revisiting x

Although the room was very comfortable, the bed was a little small and positioned against the wall. The window in room 2 needs attention to prevent it from rattling with the wind, which did cause disturbed sleep on some nights. Although the breakfast was worth the wait, it can take a little time to arrive

This place is a real gem in the centre of st Ives. It has been lovingly renovated with a lovely beach/boho vibe. The room whilst small, was beautifully presented, had everything needed and had a wonderful view of St Ives Bay. The complimentary drinks vouchers were a lovely added bonus and very much appreciated. The option of parking was also a real positive for this place, hard to come by in St Ives. Nothing was so much trouble and we felt very welcome, we didn’t want to leave.

If you have a room on the top floor it is a bit of a trek with bags, particularly if you need to go back to the car for something. However, on check in we were asked if we wanted help with our bags. Be prepared for an early morning wake up call from the seagulls. I don’t mind the sound but my partner struggled a little, however we both accept there is very little you can do about the seagulls and it’s part of the charm of the place and staying in a seaside town.

Everything was delightful - staff, the room, the view.

The only thing I found problematic was the musac. I lived through the sixties and seventies, and knew the songs well, but many were covers (always disappointing to those of us who were there) and all of them were too loud. I couldn’t help thinking the musac was for the staff, not the guests…. Periods of quiet go a long way… orchestral music is more soothing and less personal. But some of us still have acute hearing - and don’t want it compromised by noise for the sake of it. Silence is more moving than noise

This is a fantastic place to stay in St Ives, do not stay anywhere else! We loved the position (it has the best view in town and easy access to the old winding streets full of shops and restaurants), the carpark voucher that meant we could come and go, the lovely atmosphere at breakfast time or while having a drink at the end of the day, the comfortable bed, the modern clean bathroom, the amazing views from our bedroom windows, the really delicious cooked breakfast every day and the yummy tacos for dinner!

Nothing, all fabulous

Initially picked this hotel as it offered parking which we thought may be difficult so near to the town centre and so glad we did - it had so much more to offer. We had such a warm welcome when we arrived from Georgia. The room was just what we needed and with a marvelous view to the harbor. The best was yet to come - the breakfast was delicious and we tried a few of the options - Anthony can certainly do a good breakfast .Again a great view from the dining room. There was always such a warm atmosphere in the hotel and great personal service. Without a doubt we would stay here again and thoroughly recommend as a place to stay.

Not a thing to criticize

From the moment we arrived the staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, offering us a cup of tea as soon as we walked in, and providing us with a free bottle of prosecco in our room (it was our honeymoon). Our room was cosy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a sea view and a spacious, modern bathroom. If you're staying here I cannot recommend the breakfasts enough - not only is the food great but starting the day in front of the large window overlooking the harbour is a wonderful feeling. It was also a good opportunity to get to know the staff, who had some great tips on where to eat, where to go for walks, and how to get around. The bar is great too, and being given 2 free cocktails was a really nice touch!

For the price bracket I don't think you can really expect anything more!

Simple unpretentious little guest house with lovely view over St Ives harbour. Delightful hosts and staff. Cool Music playing from their sound system in the general bar and,dining area added to the ambience The delightfully renovated bedroom & ensuite was a lovely serene modern light filled haven from the busy village and waterfront below. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious !

Steep narrow stairs not our choice but we know it goes with the territory.

The location was incredible, right next to bus stops and the train station, smack bang in between the harbour and the beach, really quick to get to both. We loved the tea/milk station so you could pick up exactly as much as you needed of whatever you wanted. The breakfast was delicious and the drinks vouchers were a nice touch. The real clincher though was the view. The window in our room was like a picture frame around the harbour. Stunning.
