2 Night stay here. Fantastic. The Double Room was very spacious and immaculately clean. Very comfortable bed. All facilities provide. Beautiful white fluffy towels and toiletries in the bathroom, which again was very spacious. In the bedroom Tea/Coffee and biscuits. TV and hairdryer. Plenty of storage to hang your clothes. Breakfast was phenomenal! All you could possibly ask for. Location is great for visiting Chester or Liverpool. Hosts Ken and Kath were 2 of the nicest people you could wish to meet. Very hard working to ensure your stay is pleasurable. Will definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike, just everything to love.

We were going to a wedding and rather than driving home late at night, we decided we would stay here. What a great decision. We were warmly welcomed by Kenny and Cathy and although we were early, our room was ready. The bedroom was comfortable and had all we needed. The bathroom was large and had a great sized shower. Following the wedding, we returned to the pub in time for a relaxing drink in the bar, which was warm and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep, followed by a lovely shower. The breakfast choice was great and the food was tasty. Cathy was very attentive. We had a great stay and would definitely return. Plenty of parking on site. Fantastic value for money.

1）The room as d bathroom are very clean and mattress is comfortable 2) They provides two free big English breakfast , It values for money . 3) The owner is really hospitable . 4) The heating in the room works very well. 5) The pub is 2 minutes walking distance from a Co-Op supermarket, so it is convenient to buy fruits . 6) The location is great ! 20 mins drive from Chestershire designer shopping village , and 15 mins drive to Chester town centre.

1) water pressure is low at evening time , so in this double bed room, the shower doesn’t work very well .

The property is a typical pub but was pleasant and friendly. The staff and locals were welcoming. I had the best two nights sleep as the bed was really comfortable. Although the church chimed quite often but it didn’t keep me awake.

The access to the room was okay but it could be a problem for someone with disabilities. I understand that the new owners haven’t been there very long but have made good progress with the pub so far but you can see there is still a bit more work to be done.

Had a very warm welcome and due to delays we arrived a little later than expected but Kenny (Manager) kept the kitchen open for us to have a meal after a long journey. Room was comfortable and met all expectations and the breakfast was fantastic.

If I am really nit picking my partner took the side of the bed with the bedside cabinet so was able to placed her tea next to her and my side did not have one so had to put my tea on the floor :-)

The location was good for us on our journey. Excellent hosts Kenny and Cath - friendly and helpful. The hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment this year with further work to be carried out later this year to the hotel facade and the bedrooms and en-suites. The breakfast was amazing as was all the food. Highly recommended hotel.

The location was excellent. Very quiet area but close enough to Chester if you wanted more night life. Breakfast was excellent and very filling (good quality ingredients) not your usual value breakfast. Kenny and his wife have only been in situ for 12 weeks so it will only get even better. I will stay again if i'm up that way

The breakfast was fantastic as it's homemade and HOT, so delicious. The owner's were fantastic and so friendly. Easy walking in their village with access to other restaurants, pharmacy and post office to exchange currency. We will definitely come back and stay. We booked for 1 night but loved it so much we stayed an extra day.

The owners were friendly and extremely helpful. Food was lovely and every where was really clean. Beds were comfy (we had a twin room) and plenty of room. Breakfast was good and the coffees lovely. Plenty of room in the car park. I would highly recommend staying here.

Struggled to get hot water in the shower, but was no biggy. Got there in the end.

The staff were very friendly and the room very clean, loved the lit up mirror. Breakfast was huge and very tasty Bed so comfy, I didn't want to get up. Meal in restaurant amazing and great value for money. Will definetly be staying here again on our next visit to Chester zoo.
