The building has some lovely features and my room was spacious and comfy. Did not have breakfast as I was about to travel on a ferry and the sea was a bit choppy, however I had dinner the previous evening which was delicious and reasonably priced.

Nothing was a problem, the owner and his wife were very honest in their approach to running this boutique hotel, true to their Irish heritage. The daughter booked us in, the father was chef, mum ran the day to day business and the son made us coffee and tea while we waited for a taxi to the railway station, which is not all that far away, but being old and using walking sticks, trudging our luggage was just a bit too far. The room was set up for disabled people and was lovely and clean, a pleasure to stay there. They serve a great menu for dinner and have a full bar for the drinkers. Breakfast was served with all the bonhomie the Irish project, and you won't go away hungry! Highly recommended.

There was a problem checking in at 3pm, the sons vehicle had broken down and Dad had to fix it before he could get back to the Hotel. In saying that, we were given free breakfast for waiting a bit longer! Other than that, absolutely nothing!

The staff (the owner and his family) were brilliant. Very friendly and kind (the owner was rescuing another guest when we got there so couldn't get in!) The hotel is old and quirky. The room was comfortable, warm and clean. The food (cooked by the owner) was superb. We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. The food was fresh and delicious. Small menu but not a bad thing!

I am not a fan of selecting what I want for breakfast before I have had an evening meal! The rooms need a bit of an update.

family run charming hotel, in house restaurant w good food, our hosts Leo and Mary Ellen were welcoming and generous, fixing us a to-go supply of sandwiches, fruit and yogurt for our early, all day train ride to Oban the morning we departed

the one thing which could have improved, and this is the same issue we experienced in EVERY hotel and VRBO home we stayed all over UK: beds had a bottom sheet and duvet w cover, which is the European standard, and we overheated every night, in every accommodation, an optional top sheet or light weight duvet option would have been useful.

Very friendly Irish owners and staff made us feel at home. The breakfast was probably the best we had had all week. the twin room was well appointed with a modern bathroom. There was free parking in public bays across the road.

The shower bracket was broken when we arrived, but we were able to manage with it - otherwise a nice shower. The twin beds were a little close for friends due the layout of the room (unavoidably I suppose). If we stayed again, which we may well do, I would book separate single rooms, unless I was staying with my wife.

Lovely family run hotel. Very friendly and accommodating. We asked if they were serving dinner when we arrived, and were advised we could still have steak or haddock. I am sure the steak would have been lovely, but wow, the haddock was delicious. So fresh and the batter perfect. Also a huge helping that we were not able to finish! They really don't charge enough for what you get! If you want a lovely friendly, comfortable family hotel this is perfect! Also plenty of parking available, and no issues with WIFI.

There was nothing I didn't like. It was lovely, however my room didn't have a TV which might have been annoying if I was staying longer. It wasn't advertised with a TV, but I assumed there would be one there. However my colleague's room did have one. As I was only staying 1 night, it really wasn't an issue, and I am sure if it was, and I had mentioned it, they wouId have moved me. I only mention in case it is important to anyone reading this review, so if important to you, then ask when you book.

Great ambiance. Friendly staff. Clean, spacious room. Good food.

The hotel is not easily recognisable as a hotel - no 'hotel' sign on the building, and the small reception area was just inside the door, but with no-one there. We had to go in search of someone, so our initial impression was not great. However, our concerns were soon allayed when we met the family who run the hotel, and they couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. There is a great ambiance at this hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We felt a connection straight from the start with the proprietor MICK . Everyone made us feel welcome . Our room was downstairs which was a welcoming relief and we loved sharing our stories with Mick & a lovely local couple over few beers prior to dinner. Dinner was amazing ( Potato Curry & Rice /Naan Bread & Papadums) Location is central ,opposite a gorgeous park - lots of car space - A Happy Memory from a couple of Aussie Travellers

very good location a short walk from the train station and the center of town. airy and bright room - we liked the simple, minimalist look. The Landlady is extremely friendly and helpful. she booked a taxi for us to the ferry terminal and was able to give us breakfast early so that we could make the early ferry. We chose the continental breakfast, which was substantial.A full cooked breakfast is available also.

We had a top floor room, which is nice for the light, but it is a lot of stairs. If stairs are an issue I would request a room on a lower floor.
