The Victoria Inn

Exceptional valve. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly as there was some confusion over the booking. We had booked a room with three beds via booking.com but this was not clear to the hotel on their system. The manager immediately sorted this out for us and made up the sofa bed for us while we had a drink. Great breakfast served from 7.30 which helped with an early start from the city.

Location was perfect for us as we were passing through and did not have to drive into Truro. This was reflected in the cost for bed and breakfast. However it may not suit some people as it was in a residential area away from the centre of Truro.

Wow, where to start? The staff were extremely helpful, and no request was any trouble. We stayed in room 1. The bed was comfortable and clean. The en-suite was very good with an amazing shower. Toiletries were provided and smelt lush. The evening meal was so good. Waiting times were very acceptable, considering how busy the Inn was (practically a full house). Although we didn't enter the quiz, it was a good laugh and a fantastic night was had by all. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area. Unfortunately, there are stairs to the rooms, so wheelchair users please be aware. However, I would recommend a meal or an evening here, as every request was attended to immediately. If I were to fault anything, it would be that the current plug sockets be changed for ones with a USB charging point(s). As most phone providers do not supply plugs anymore in the fast changing world of technology.

The staff, very helpful and informal, the room was perfectly sufficient for a stopover. We had an evening meal at the pub which was very good. The included breakfast was limited choice but ample, and more than fit for purpose .there was work going on to extend the outside area, but the workmen were quiet and despite being close to our room, we didn't hear them start in the morning. Impressive.

Nothing to dislike really. The room was located behind the pub and up a metal staircase. Not the easiest of access, but OK.

The staff were all amazing. They were really accommodating and very patient with our one and five year olds. The breakfast was frankly phenomenal. A seriously delicious full cornish breakfast with yoghurt and cereal options too. Everything was absolutely delicious and a lovely start to the day. The dinners in the restaurant are also so so good! The kids pizza (usually a fairly cheap little pizza in most places) was seriously high quality. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The room was a good size for us. Pretty standard set up but very comfortable and all the amenities you'd expect.

The shower was a little underpowered. The delivery system was a little confusing. The Web page had three or four sections named the same thing and some specials werent on there (or at least we couldnt find them)

Beds were very comfortable, and the room was a good size with everything we needed. Good value for money, and we managed to get a taxi very easily. Breakfast was also included and was really nice!

Not a massive deal but just soured it slightly, we checked in after a 7hr drive and the manager did say we could book a table for food but when we came back down to try and book there wasn't any availability. I appreciate it was a busy night but you'd think they'd be able to make room for people staying in the rooms. Perhaps we should have called ahead really. But we did come back for a drink and it was nice.

Breakfast was top notch! Also, I was very early for my appointment and the staff let me hang about and drink as much complimentary tea as I wanted, and chatted about my upcoming appointment. Very friendly, which is very Cornwall!

Could have done without the party noise when I was trying to get to sleep BUT when I complained to the manager he sorted it within minutes. So this isn’t a complaint as such, more a testimony to excellent and responsive customer service!

Great location for where we wanted to be - might be slightly outside town etc if needed to go to Truro - but bus stop right opposite pub and easy commute into Truro. Room was clean - bed very comfortable, Breakfast was excellent! All the staff were very helpful and friendly too

Only minor things really... There was no plug by the mirror so you couldnt see to dry hair etc Towels in the bathroom could have been bigger - especially the "bath" towels - they were small and also not the best quality

The female member of staff to welcome us was super friendly and helpful, gave us a tour and showed us where we could store our bikes. The male staff member at breakfast was also very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal was excellent (carvery and sea bass recommended) and breakfast freshly made to order.

Mattress in the room was unfortunately too wobbly - was not the best night's sleep as when you turn, you wake the other person up.

The staff were very warm and welcoming on our arrival We loved our room with 2 double beds very comfortable to sleep in. It was nice and quiet and very clean we couldn't fault it. We absolutely loved our breakfast the following morning and the young man that took our breakfast order Saturday morning was so helpful and polite. We asked for a bowl of fruit for our daughter to go with her breakfast and she loved it. Nothing was too much trouble for the young lad. Food was amazing and hot . As we were staying the night due to a friends wedding the following day we asked the staff if we could possibly check out at 11 as the wedding was at 12 and we didnt want to be stranded and waiting around, I hadn't asked for late check out as I forgot, but it was no problem at all the staff were very accommodating. Which we are so thankful for. The cocktails we drank were so nice too . We love the garden area . Also the bar area we enjoyed with darts and pool table and a quiz night was lovely to mix with the locals. Will definitely be coming back to the lovely b&b. They also do carverys which suprised us. We didn't have 1 this time as we were out. But definitely next time will visit.

We cant complain. The b&b was well worth the stay and good price for the area. We didn't want to leave .

There is a large parking in front of the Inn and the Inn is very easily reachable by car. A supermarket is located right next to it. The Inn is offering a wide range of dishes in the restaurant with very good value for money quality. The English breakfast was perfect. The friendlyness of the whole staff is outstanding.

The room was not well isolated for the cold and for the noise. There was only one window and the light was to my taste not powerful enough.
