The room was bigger than I expected for the price, and very clean. Facilities were a tad basic, but more than you'd expect for the price asked. Breakfast is included in the price - the food is is true to it's transport cafe roots so the menu is limited, but it's served up very quickly - just don't expect an a la carte menu. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's an unpretentious place - a hotel it isn't, but it offers affordable, comfortable and friendly accommodation. If you're on a tight budget you can't go wrong choosing this place.

There wasn't anything to really dislike - but if I was being really picky it would be the lack of a soap tray in the shower.

Had supper in the diner on arrival - very good. That and our breakfast were freshly, swiftly and well cooked; hot and tasty. Over all, very clean and nicely decorated (good for a budget place; unlike the chilly and clinical functionality of a Travelodge for example). Comfortable bed and appreciate having a top sheet especially in warm weather as the duvet is quite heavy. Good provision of toiletries, iron and board etc. in room; nice biscuits always appreciated! As on our stay last year, all staff extremely friendly and helpful; your greatest asset. Easy to book online and efficient return email of confirmation and necessary info.

The only thing I don't like is the pillows, very chunky and unyielding but I do have a bad neck so usually bring my own anyway. They were fine for my husband.

Rooms were better than I expected for a motel. Food was nice and plenty of it. We both said we would definitely stay here again....

Shower in room was iffy... Had to put on full power to get a decent temperature, otherwise on a slower speed was cold. We both tried different things to rectify the temperature, but to no evail, but it was ok. Very busy as it's open 24 hours for food... Young girl who served breakfast, brought out Full English before we had, had our cereal and then brought out granola with milk, even though we had asked for yoghurt with it.... Which was the only option on the menu. All staff were pleasant and most definitely earn every penny they earn!.. Couldn't believe how busy the café/restaurant part was at 10am on a Sunday.

Good food available all day. Good choice on meals and an all day 'lunch' menu with ample choice from snacks and drinks to full meals. Comfortable lounge area and seating area for residents, separate from walk in customers and guests. All very clean.

I tried to book two rooms, each for one person but I was charged two rooms, each for two people by booking.com. This meant I paid £135 which was queried when i received a phone call from the motel. As it was already paid, at time of booking, they were unable to arrange a refund of the overpayment.

Very easy to find, room was comfortable, very clean and the bed soft with superb duvet and crisp linen. Breakfast was amazingly large and staff very attentive, they seemed to treat the regular lorry drivers like family members rather than customers, which made the place feel more welcoming. Plenty of facilities including bar, lounge, restaurant and coffee shop. Huge car park to accommodate trucks vans and artics. Food is served 24 hours. Filling station 50 yards up the road and extensive view of the windswept moors from the rear car park. Only 10 minutes from Wakefield or Featherstone.

If i was being extremely picky I'd say the Coffee was more milk than coffee and being a large Person found that the shower allowed little room for manoeuvre. But this would not put me off staying there again

The motel is situated next to a garage/burger restaurant, with a really good Indian restaurant just down the road. There is a cash point machine on site with a snacks dispenser and outside seating opposite views of a rolling hillside. The motel has a lounge bar, drinks bar and restaurant serving really good food. The breakfast is amazing and the staff are very very friendly and helpful. It was fairly quiet considering how busy it was. will definitely stay again

The Redbeck Motel is a terrific place to stay! The rooms are lovely, very comfortable and with everything you need to have a great stay. I especially loved the shower. With only a bath at home, it was lovely to be able to have a quick shower. I also loved the way the bathroom was tiled! The bed was comfy, the amount of pillows was great! I had a really lovely stay. As did my mum.

The room was a good size and had tea facilities, ironing Board and Iron, hairdryer and extra blankets. It was a lovely colour and coordinating furnishings made it look very attractive. For the price and breakfast we will definitely be staying again.

The bathroom was a little tight and had a smell of stale cigs. I don't know if the people before had smoked or the rooms downstairs were smoking rooms and the smell came up through the floor. But it did smell the whole time. I didn't complain about this, but I will mention it when we stay again, if it happens again.

-The room was small but adequate. -The shared toilets and showers were clean. -There was a TV with Freeview -There was free wifi which didn't require password and login, so it was easy to connect. -The full English breakfast was good and it was included in the price. The portions sizes were big and satisfying.

-I think it would be better if there were kettle in the rooms but mine was a budget single room which was probably why there wasn't one.

Very quirky and excellent value for money. Staff very helpful when manages to get their time and they also provided with a hair dryer as there was not one.in the room. Comfy beds and clean room. Food downstairs was tasty and cheap also has a bar.

Checking in we had to stand in a que in the cafe area and que up with local customers who where ordering food so this was confusing on arrival and took longer than exspected. As this is a busy cafe there where alot of people gathered in 1 area and there was no obvious direction where checkin was. Dont think the staff could tell if we where customers of the cafe or people staying in the hotel. So where advised to que in the cafe to checkin. Seemed like the staff working in the cafe also ran the hotel. Staff working very hard in a busy enviroment. Seemed abit understaffed. Took a long time to get a taxi but this was nothing to do with the hotel. Staff very helpful and they are a credit to this place.
