OMG! What a truly wonderful experience to stay here. It was like being home from home. So much care, kindness, and love from the two hosts. I highly highly recommend staying here. My room was spacious, hot power shower, clean room, bedding...all what you expect. What I didn't expect was to have my ironing done for me, choice over breakfast, GF bread, amazing coffee, such a warm welcome. A good laugh. Great stories. Just lovely. Oh yes, and literally a 5 minute drive from my clients location.

The only little niggle, which is tiny...is that the toilet flush in my room was temperamental. Other than that, it was a perfect stay. It was all positive.

Excellent accommodation and plentiful off road parking. Was greeted warmly and shown to Room 4, a charming well appointed double room overlooking the front of the property. Bed was very comfortable and could have happily slept in. Breakfast was good.

Nothing other than my Satnav must have had a weird sense of humour taking me on a weird route to get from Castleford to the venue.

The business is located in two buildings and overlooking a busy road, but the triple glazing in the rooms is really impressive in that no noise can be heard from the road. The room was spotlessly clean, the garden is a really pleasant place to sit and have a coffee. The breakfast was very good with good coffee. The hosts, Phil and Christine, were very friendly, welcoming and easy to get along with. They clearly took pride in their house and preserved the historic character of the buildings.

Nothing to dislike.

The hotel is very comfortable, beds, lounge, facilities, a Beautiful Garden, only for weather would have spent more time relaxing there, very handy for motorways etc,

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property. honestly,

Chris was so welcoming, looking forward to staying here again when I’m back up in Leeds. Full English was lovely. I really liked the way Chris introduced me to the other guests by name at breakfast.

For the value, there’s nothing I can complain about

The owner are very friendly and welcoming. It’s quite difficult to find, especially in the dark…however Chris rang us and guided us there. Rooms are large with lovely clean bathroom. Breakfast is good but alas no proper coffee.

For £110 a night, I expect proper coffee not instant

My room was quite warm and when I opened the window the road was then noisey. I was then unable to leave it open all night which I like to, as I sleep cool.

Although the shower was a beautiful brass rode with a large shower head it made it difficult to move around inside the shower area without getting your hair wet. The taps also were on the rear side of the cubicle so it made it very difficult to regulate the water temperature before stepping into the shower.

Warm friendly welcome and good communication. Very accommodating over my inability to give an accurate time of arrival and offered breakfast early on a Sunday so we could comfortably make our appointment.

Room could have been a little warmer but minor niggle rather than an issue.

The cooked breakfast was great and the clean room and bathroom was a welcome site. Also nice to have showers that work properly with constant hot water. We would have no hesitation in booking again as the hosts could not have been more welcoming and attentive.

Even though the location was next to an A road it wasn’t overly busy and the road noise did not stop a good night’s sleep.

The owners were very friendly and great with our 2 young boys. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms are like a small flat for size

The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but you do have to factor in the age of the property, so a modern decor hotel room would look strange in a converted Victorian house
