Excellent location for a one night stop off after a long motorcycle ride up from Swansea. Booked the Miners as was local to a garage that my bike was having some work done in. Explained to the staff on check in that I'd be leaving before they started serving breakfast so they told me I could have an evening meal instead which was much needed after 5 hours in the saddle. Lots of pub style choices on the menu - went for the cheese and bacon burger which was lovely. Staff and locals very welcoming, to the point that what was supposed to be a quick drink and food turned into a late night and a groggy head the following morning. Plenty of secure car parking available but the landlord even let me store the bike in the cellar for extra security which was much appreciated.

Only stayed the one night so can't really think of anything apart from maybe serving breakfast a bit earlier for those who have an early start - 8am may be a bit late for those staying for work purposes.

The hotel is a few miles out of the centre of Leeds but it is on several bus routes. The railway station, with direct links to Cottingley (for Leeds United FC ground) and Leeds (City Centre), is a few hundred metres (four minutes) from the hotel. The station is down a flight of about a hundred steps though not difficult steps. The hotel is a typical friendly Yorkshire pub with a welcoming and helpful landlord and clientele. I wish I could have stayed longer! The bar has a really good selection of drinks, both bottled and on tap. The large room had twin beds and a sink. There was a kettle with a good supply of coffee (caffeinated and Decaf) and tea. I stayed mid week and my room was very quiet and there was no street noise from outside. There is a decent sized free car park behind the hotel though it is on a slight incline so take care if it's icy!

Perhaps a hand rail on the carpeted stairs up to the rooms would be helpful for those of us who are not too stable on our feet, especially when carrying cases. Likewise, perhaps a hand rail at the side of the building to the car park for similar reasons and especially when icy.

Lovely local pub with rooms upstairs. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and looked after. Customer service is spot on here. Excellent value for money, great pub with entertainment on the weekend, there was karaoke one night and a live band on the other. The B&B part is clean and tidy with everything you need for a short stay, water, tea and coffee and a kettle provided in the room, soap and shower gel and towels in the bathroom. We stayed in the en suite room, it was perfect for a short break. 100% would stay again, and have recommended the pub/B&B to local family and friends. There's a train station next door on the line to Leeds, Manchester, Huddersfield etc and a massive car park at the side. Proper Yorkshire hospitality at its finest 👌🏼

The team at the Miner"s were all excellent, friendly , welcoming and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily, the atmosphere in the bar was also friendly and welcoming, this is an ideal place for anyone who prefers " people and charachter " over the " thickness or colour of the carpets ".

The Miner"s, like everyonne else, can not control the weather so I really can not add anything negative to this narrative.

absolutely excellent stay. Staff were very very helpful and helped me as a totally blind solo traveller. Food was absolutely superb, excellent taste and value for money. Nice selection of beers and food on the menu. Breakfast superb and again lovely taste and well cooked. Bedrooms are basic, comfortable but again, great value for money. Had an relaxing nights sleep. And, again like other guests, although the bedrooms are above the pub, you hardly hear a thing. Would highly recommend staying here, and will be definitely staying there myself again in the future.

The staff and guy who owns it are really friendly, nice people... Because I missed breakfast every morning due to work, they was kind enough to give me my tea every night instead The food was actually quite nice! I'd definitely go back if I had to work up in that area again... Close to all amenities and train station just behind the pub.

The only bad thing about that hotel, is that the beds ain't that comfy.... but that's it 🤷‍♂️

Everything. Peter, Jane and Matt were all very helpful, friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was ace: clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant. Full English, all items piping hot as cooked to order. Thank you Guys. 😊

My breakfast was organised and made to special request (gluten-free). The considerate staff ensured a quiet night after live music. The location is excellent, quiet and with a superb public transport connection to Leeds (Arriva bus strikes not included :) )

The Wifi in the room was a bit challenged in the evenings with many guests around.

The staff were very friendly! The room was quaint and comfortable. Everything was provided.

I knew it wasn't an en-suite when booking but didn't like that the sink/basin was separate from the toilet.

Brekkie was done very well, Almost akin to a magic spell.

Access in and out could have been explained better.... But they were very busy on check in and I could of specifically asked the question to be fair.
