Richmond Hotel

good location for city centre and attractions. no trouble getting the wifi to work. staff friendly and helpful. had everything you needed for your stay good breakfast. easy to find from seafront.

felt like heating was coming on in the middle of the night has room got very warm. room was small so if you get out in the night you could fell over bed as room was dark, as no light from out side unless you leave the bathroom light on.

Dogs allowed in breakfast area not nice when eating and watching a dog clean them selves. Well out of order.

Great location near the seafront, friendly staff. I was travelling alone and I felt safe at all times. Room very clean and comfortable, great value for money. Breakfast was fine - I don't eat a big breakfast but the scrambled egg was delicious.

The bar is open to the public and the first night there were people talking loudly until very late, just below my room. So it was a bit noisy. But the other nights it was okay.

Excellent host and staff. Lovely tasting and well cooked breakfast. Very friendly place for a nice family stay getting the perfect balance of helpful and available without being overbearing. Room was a good size and typical of UK seaside hotels. Would stay again if in the area. Thanks for looking after us :)

Breakfast could be better, as in more choice , the cooked breakfast was beautiful but there just wasn't enough choice , you couldn't have scrambled egg and hash browns for example, you had to either have a full English or vegetarian breakfast, wasn't a choice in bread only white , no fruit or croissants. If it's a one night stay that's fine but when you're there for a week you need more choice X That's the only fault I can say really, we'd stay again but just go out for breakfast x

This is a wonderful place to stay. Jonathan made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Perfectly cooked breakfast, always hot well presented and served quickly. Good choices. Lovely room with sea view which was very clean. I would recommend this hotel for its staff, cleanliness and location. Steven was not only friendly and efficient but very knowledgeable about the area. Would stay there again

Exellcent and good value for money. Would definitely stay again. The staff and Jonathan the owner were very friendly and couldn't do enough for the guests. Jonathan actually took a guests family home quite late Saturday night because their taxi didn't arrive, Breakfast was great, beds were comfy and there was a lift so no walking up and downstairs with suitcases.

Staff were excellent in attitude & friendly with all people. Breakfast was excellent I really enjoyed my stay there. Jonathan was very helpful with anything you asked. Nothing was too much trouble I would recommend this hotel.im looking to book again.

Accommodation was in an ideal spot the centre of everything, the hotel was lovely and clean and looked lovely from the outside, breakfast was lovely and the owner were very polite, friendly made you feel at home couldn't do enough for you, would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

Nothing everything was good

We booked for one night for our dogs first stay away. Location was amazing just a 5 min walk to the beach. Staff ever so friendly and welcoming and breakfast decent. As not many hotels accept dogs, I found this good value for money. Beds were comfortable and clean. We didn't bring any children but there's an adventure playground right outside with a water feature. Useful if you have older children and you want to sit outside the hotel and have a drink as you can still see them.

Rooms were quite dated and I didn't find the bathroom appealing. Tiles could do with a re-grout and a good scrub in general but wasn't unclean. Toilet was difficult to flush and needed to be pushed a number of times before it worked. Room could just do with some minor changes e.g filling in holes, painting over and a little change of decor. I would still stay again so thank you.
