The room was perfect, we had so much space for our two dogs and baby. It was a very comfortable room and had the luxury of a dog friendly restaurant complete with dog sofas

Great location, handy to get to, countryside views and a lovely wild garden to sit in the evening. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfy room, very clean and good furnishings. Country house feel throughout - nice change from the budget 'chain' hotels nearby. Very good price. Breakfast was good - so nice to be able to choose from a menu and just pay for what you want rather than a fixed price and feel you have to eat lots to get your money's worth. We'll certainly return. 😊

Our room was compact but manageable. The bathroom suite was on the small side - the shower cubicle a bit of a squeeze but lots of hot water and a good flow. Bit of a tight fit for the loo! Lighting in the room was a bit limited and needed a bit of attention.

I booked this hotel for it's location on the side of Brent Knoll, which I have driven past countless times but never had the opportunity to climb. The hotel is in a great location close to M5, J22 and set back from the A38. The staff were exceptional, informative and courteous. The food was good. The hotel has a big car park with large spaces. Brent Knoll is a very steep climb, so not for the faint hearted, but the view is breathtaking in every direction.

Nothing, this hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. I had a room at the rear looking out on to the Knoll. I think rooms at the front may suffer from the noise of the traffic on the A38.

The staff at this hotel were an absolute joy and truly made our stay one to remember. Kelly at reception was so welcoming and warm, and we had a great time exchanging gifts with our family in front of the cozy fireplace. Even some of the other staff members joined in and pulled crackers with us, adding to the festive atmosphere. The location of the hotel was incredibly convenient, with a carvery restaurant nearby where we had a delicious Christmas dinner, opposite there was Ollies Cafe offering a delicious lunch, and a garden centre with a beautiful Christmas tree that my mum really enjoyed. Despite the front door being somewhat difficult to open independently, the hotel's accommodations for those in wheelchairs were more than satisfactory. The hotel had a quirky design with many sheep-themed decorations and was a truly unique place that I would highly recommend.

Booked for 2 nights and found this hotel great for our stop over. There is plenty of parking which is always welcome. Booking in was easy and our room was reallocated so no waiting around. The corridor to the room looked to have been recently decorated and was quite fresh looking in pastel green colour. Floors were a bit creaky in places but it is an older buildings that has been converted/extended. Our room also looked to have been recently decorated and new bathroom suite. The bedroom had plenty of storage should you be staying longer but we did not need that much. Bed linen was clean and fresh and bed comfortable. Pillows were a bit soft for me but I did not ask if there was other options (none in the room). We were in room 24 and the only issue was the curtains do lining as it's too bright in the morning and some haul at 5.30 which was too early. Breakfast was really good with all produce locally sourced. Good value at £9.99 for a cup English and £7 for a well loaded sausage or bacon sandwich, £1 extra to have egg in. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and pleasant to deal with. Overall a great place to stay when visiting the area as it's in a good central location with easy access to Somerset areas of interest and beaches.

Curtains in room 24 need lining to reduce early morning sunlight waking you up. Some bits need a bit more attention/checking, such as towel book on back of bathroom door taking off. Mastic finish rounds bath and to skirting was poorly finished which will result in dirt accumulating if not kept in check, there were signs of mixed cleaning around skirting already. One of the draws in the wardrobe unit was broken, not much of an issue as there were so many other draws to use.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. A couple of problems in the room were both fixed promptly. Really easy to get to. Pleasant dining and bar area. Well back from the road so quite quiet. Loved the poker-work plaques with their touches of humour. Brent Knoll has a fascinating church and a lovely climb to the top of the hill. Huge garden centre within really easy walking distance.

The footpath between the hotel and the Knoll has been diverted from that shown on the OS maps and was not well signposted. Not really anything the hotel management could fix, but worth being aware of if, like us, you plan to walk from the hotel to the hill. Turning right from the hotel entrance could be tricky when the traffic was busy (potentially easier to turn left and go round the roundabout further up the road). No inclusive breakfast pricing, and drinks and food were priced separately, so the cost of breakfast could soon mounted up for those with healthy appetites.

Breakfast was good, reasonably priced and served by a very cheerful and helpful staff member. The hotel was quiet and peaceful and a good location for my journey.

I was upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was a pleasant surprise as the room was much bigger than usual. The downside was that the very large bathroom was up a flight of stairs, which is awkward for night visits to the loo! The only other negative comment is that the TV reception was uniformly poor, with almost every channel I selected breaking up and unwatchable. This may, of course, be a fault with the Freeview signal strength in the area, but I do think the system could do with an overhaul.

Very friendly staff, dog friendly, building set well away from main road with huge grass fields to walk dogs. Rooms clean with all facilities you need, lovely restaurant where dogs allowed with you in side room. Check out up to 11am was nice..

Comfortable bed; Bedside lights not in best place for reading before sleep; so had to move it from the other bed. Then OK. Breakfast (extra charge) very nice; except the baked beans had been microwaved for too long. Landlord very helpful in advsiing where to go for my evening meal.

Had to move bed to make bedside light work; TV remote control would not turn TV on or OFF. Had to get out of bed, and switch off at wall! Remote likely needs a new battery? Room curtains very light; with no measures taken to keep daylight out of room, after 0600 hours. sink seems to have been fitted the wrong way round; with the plug anchor pin and wide ledge on the user side of the sink, instead of against the wall?! So not good for storing shampoo bag, etc.

Convenient location, full of character, very clean. Staff were pleasant. can’t comment on the restaurant as it was closed (Christmas time). Family room excellent had expected 2 extra beds in the room but it was actually 2 interconnecting rooms.

No little extras such as water or toiletries in the room, would a usually get this in a hotel if this standard. Bar prices very really expensive, shame as we would have spent a lot more time in their. Unfortunately the double bed in the family room was very hard and not comfortable(the twins and the other double room were lovely though)
