Room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was new, location is perfect, breakfast was lovely.

Walls are very thin, floor upstairs creaked when someone moved, woman shouting and swearing in the early hrs, (no fault of hotel) hotel is like a maze, narrow corridors everywhere, floor above had a concealed hole in one of the corridor floors, (under carpet) member of our group and others fell in it. (Needs fixing before someone really hurts themselves).

Location was brilliant as right near to the pier. The room was a little dated but acceptable bearing in mind the reasonable cost of accommodation. Full marks for breakfast - such a variety of food available, and one could have as much as one would like (eg. how many eggs would you like?) staff were extremely professional, nothing was too much trouble, and there were plenty of staff around to offer tea/coffee, any other requirements, clearing the table, Never had this service before. Definitely would stay there again.

Loud music entertainment -but that is my personal opinion as I dont appreciate this type of entertainment - many other guests would appreciate the entertainment the hotel offered and so I accept the situation.

The property was in the best location right on the sea front over looking the Grand pier and very close to all the Amenities very close by. The property appears to be stuck in time in certain aspects with decor but it makes up in others like large spaces from there Bar,Dinning Room,lounge etc but for the price of the room & Breakfast you can’t Beat it nor go wrong.

The only issue I prob say which I noticed about the propert in some areas including my room was the discoloured wall around the window but I’m assume that’s where the sea or rain batter the building with the salt there’s nothing really else

The location is brilliant, very central between the seafront, pier and town centre with plenty of food and drink options within easy walking distance. The breakfast is good. The staff are always cheerful and helpful (this is not our first visit). The shower was a decent pressure and temperature. The bar downstairs is reasonable and often seems to have some form of entertainment available.

The room was tired and in need a little TLC, although only cosmetic. No parking dedicated to the hotel (in common with a number of other WSM hotels), although the public car park is just over the road and there is dedicated space for overnight stays by the entrance. I would suggest that this hotel is not good for anyone with limited mobility; it is clearly an old building and, although there are lifts to most of the floors with rooms, there is no flat access to the restaurant where breakfast is served.

I have stayed here on many occasions, so that says a lot from any review. Lady on check in was very friendly and helpful. Large bar area and Chris was really friendly serving. Limited seating outside, and it is right alone the road side, so quite noisy from a traffic point of view, limited on street parking, but the Sovereign center parking is close by. I had a single on this occasion, with no view, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was perfectly adequate. Usual basic tea, coffee etc. Breakfast is probably the best that I have encountered in any of the hotels I have stayed in, in WSM. The guy serving is brilliant and very friendly. The dining area is large with lovely views over the beach. All in all a really nice place to stay.

Wifi is still a bit hit and miss, I had virtually nothing in my room. Only road side outside seating, and no onsite parking. But to be fair, these really fall outside of the hotels control.

Location was excellent --- on sea front. Beds very comfy --- altho they looked a bit old fashioned. Ample spaces for clothes storage and other items etc. Good amount of plug sockets. Liked the comfortable lounge area - nice to relax in after a long day. Breakfast was excellent: good choice, well cooked. The best thing was the staff: every one of them -- from room cleaners to breakfast servers to front desk -- were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Even helped us out with questions about bus routes and times, going on their own phones to find information for us.

A really, really minor point --- would've been nice to have a hand towel rail or hook near the sink in the bathroom.

Location could not have been better; on the front and right near the pier and centre of town. We received a warm welcome from the front desk staff. The room was clean and perfectly adequate and within sight of the sea. The breakfast was good with a wide basic selection of continental and cooked food available. There is a bar downstairs with a small seating area oustide overlooking the front.

The only disappointment was the bathroom - the shower was a small cubicle with a shower curtain on two sides - one of my pet hates! Parking is not available at the hotel but there is space outside and the public car park is only a minute's walk away.

regarding the breakfast - it was lovely, plenty of choice of cereals, fruit juices, yogurt & fresh fruit, Crossaints & cold ham, full English breakfast with choice of items & plenty of toast, tea & coffee. The room was Clean, location of hotel is fantastic for amenities & there was free entertainment in the bar every night, staff were pleasant & helpful so would stay again but definitely book through the hotel next time.

Booked through booking.com & you don't get what you expect on the booking, had to show evidence that I'd paid for bed & breakfast for entire stay & got told every morning as we went in for b.fast that we weren't in the system & had to go through the whole explanation of the booking in at reception rigmarole.The booking was for a double bed but the room had 2 singles,view from our room was of a wall lol.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice, The room was adequate if a little tired and would have preferred a larger shower. The location however was excellent as were the staff

Couldn't understand why the bar was closed Sunday evening. The size of the shower was of concern for a large chap like myself although it was adequate better than a bath.

Booked for my father in law. He said the staff and Stacey were lovely and always happy to help and chat. Location is amazing, right opposite the sea and the pier. Layout, lounge and bar very nicely set. Good value for money. Breakfast were good size and tasted great. Overall 9/10. He hopes to book and visit again.

Room was a little small and shower was tiny. Lift is very outdated also.
