The Mayfair

A fabulous greeting at reception from Andrew and Clare. Andrew handled my suitcase. My room had a wonderful sea view, the incredible Victorian Clock Tower adjacent to me. Nice choice of toiletries, bottle of fresh water daily. Room cleaned and stocked up daily. Clare's breakfasts were fantastic, so hearty. Such a huge choice of cereals, fruits and yogurts, followed by full English. Andrew kept an eye on me for enjoying the papaya! Even small scissors to open the sauce sachets. The residents lounge catered for everything, even a fridge for stocking a couple of beers. Clare's daily home made cakes were amazing, Dorset apple, blueberry, Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, all yummy, yummy !! Andrew and Clare's hosting was so professional, many recommendations given. They are truly above and beyond! A wonderful hug from Clare when I left.

Claire and Andrew are the most welcoming people you would wish to meet, they look after you every need and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are very well kept with Clean Fluffy Towels and pure white bed linen. The breakfast was Excellent with Multiple Fresh and Dried Fruits available with Cereal's and a wonderful cooked Full English Breakfast Cooked to order Exactly how you like it ( Claire was a Pro Chef ) Claire also makes her own cakes and an afternoon Tea with Homemade cake is also available. You Cannot find fault with anything at the Mayfair and would Highly Recommend as Lovely Place to stay at the heart of Weymouth. 10/10 Well Done Claire & Andrew Faultless.

Great location and a warm welcome. The rooms are homely, comfortable, spacious, and sparkling clean. The breakfast is fantastic. The atmosphere is more like home than a B&B. Stayed here to visit Tank Fest, and hike sections of the South West Coast Path; in particular Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Thank you, Clare and Andrew, thoroughly recommended :)

A small fridge in the room to keep water and other beverages chilled would have been a nice touch. To my understanding fridges in B&B in UK is not common practice and can basically only be found in 4- or 5-star hotels with minibars. So, a B&B room without a fridge seems to be the norm in the UK. Guests are allowed to store bottles in the communal fridge in the breakfast room.

Clare and Andrew are wonderful hosts who made me feel right at home. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable, even providing electric fans for my room. Delicious breakfast with so much choice, and I really appreciated the snack bar and tea and cake which you can help yourself to at any time. Thank you, I had a lovely time and hope to return one day.

The only slight issue was the noise of the traffic in my bedroom as I was at the front, but Clare and Andrew gave me an electric fan which blocked out the noise at night. Apparently the rooms at the back are much quieter so that’s good to know.

Andrew and Clare were very friendly and welcoming. The whole place was clean and inviting. The breakfast was superb with cereals, lots of fresh frit plus the excellent cooked option. We both really appreciated the help yourself to tea, coffee, home made cake and biscuits available in the dining room all day.

Nothing, every thing was good. Car parking could be a pain but we were able to park the car less than 5 minutes walk from the Mayfair each day, not sure whether we were just lucky. This comment would apply to pretty much every place in Weymouth. Clare and Andrew gave plenty of details of where to park before we arrived which was a great help.

felt secure and comfortable from the beginning of my stay. I got a warm welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. Claire and Andrew was always smiling and the service was excellent at all times. They make a great team. The property was neat and clean at all time. Claire made amazing cakes everyday. I stayed 5 nights and would love to go back and stay there every time I am at Weymouth.

The bathroom was very small therefore the sink was outside the bathroom it was in the room.

Host's Andrew and Claire were so friendly and welcoming. Rooms very clean and claire came in daily to tidy round a top up refreshments. Great location to amenities and right on the sea front. Andrew is full of knowledge and directed us to places, and recommended the best restaurants. Breakfast cooked fresh daily, which was lovely. Also available cereal and fresh fruit. Fresh cakes baked to enjoy with a cup of tea. Would highly recommend this B&B and will definitely be back for another visit.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Mayfair and we loved it. Location: You couldn't be more central and views from our room were amazing. Hosts: Andrew is very welcoming and has wealth of knowledge about local area which we found helpful when planning our stay. It was great to have a catch up with him during breakfast also. Claire is lovely and cooks great breakfast and delicious cakes (thank you). Room: Room 12 is spacious and has a very comfortable bed, views are great also, definitely recommend. Weymouth: Has a stunning beaches, is very clean and well kempt, one of the nicest places we've visited. Will definitely be coming back to both Weymouth and the Mayfair.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Mayfair. It was my first time away by myself so I was a bit nervous, but Andrew and Claire were very welcoming and put me at ease. The cooked breakfast was amazing and there was also a wonderful selection of cold fruits, cereal and yoghurt available. The room was very comfortable and warm, with a cosy bed and warm blankets! The hotel is situated right on the beach and is within driving distance of Durdle Door as well as Chesil Beach. I had a great time exploring the coastline!

This was our first holiday without our parents and was both feeling really nervous, Andrew greated us at the door and showed us all around the different facilities and carried our suitcases upto our room. The breakfast at the B&B was outstanding. The hosts were very welcoming and made the visit more enjoyable :) thank you for the home from home experience Love, Lilly and Alanah
