Everything was amazing but the customer service at the reception is the best ever – it is first class, especially Steve & Kate from the reception team. They could not do more to help us enjoy our stay and make it unforgettable. It is an extremely clean, beautiful, comfortable and luxurious hotel, we had such a great time, can't wait to visit again soon! The location is very convenient and the reception staff book a restaurant of your choice for you to make it a 5 star experience. They provide good recommendations for food, shopping and sightseeing. A perfect and relaxing place to have a holiday! Truly recommended!

The hotel was only opened in mid 2021. Rooms are very comfy with plenty of elbow room, a twin bedded room each being wide singles with fresh smelling bed lining. Excellent bathroom, fitted dispenser for shower gel, hair shampoo and body conditioner, towels were soft with one large bath and separate hand towel. The room was fitted with a useful digital heating/air conditioning control. A large wall mounted TV screen was centrally located for easy viewing. A desk mounted safe is freely located in each room. The self service breakfast was plentiful catering for both light or fully service selections. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. We would certainly stay here again and recommend to others.

A false activation of the fire alarm at 05:25 on our first morning wasn’t helpful, more especially, no apologies or explanations offered! Albeit, the alarm sounded for approximately 2 minutes. It was enough to cause a little anxiousness not knowing what was happening..

the hotel is in a great location being a two minute walk to shambles market,pubs and shops. the hotel is a stand alone building as was only built a couple of years ago,inside the hotel is a modern outlook,we had booked a king room on the fourth floor with a super large bed,smeg fridge and 55"tv,also this is the quietest hotel room ive ever been in, the soundproofing is amazing even the room door is a solid 4" thick, the staff were all super freindly with a special thank to stevan on the reception desk. the free breakfast was great and well attended by other guests.

there was nothing we did not like

The location was within minutes of city centre on the opposite side to the Minster. Disabled badge parking free at Coppergate, two minutes walk, but car not available roughly 1900 - 0700. Rooms spacious and well fitted. Handy for several restaurants and in a crowded public area.

There was an issue with the servicing of the room which is done under contract. The matter was resolved quickly and efficient by the manager to our satisfaction. That was the only negative and was dealt with. Unlikely to occur again methinks

The bed was an excellent size. The tv was excellent size it was really close to where I parked my car and was really close to the city centre the air con was a nice touch the food in the morning was nice

The room was dusty, and on top of all edges was dusty underneath the bed was terrible. I dropped something i went under the bed and there was an old bottle under neath and so much dust and dirt. There was a building being demolished next to my room, which woke me up in the morning if was staying more than two nights, I would have asked to move room, and it woke me up both mornings ah one more thing the location of the spare toilet roll holder It is the most awkward spot

Location was perfect, in a quiet area but within walking distance to everything in the city. Rooms were quiet and the breakfast had a good choice. It was busy but everything was available and replenished quickly. Quite good value for money considering the location and york prices.

We were given an adjoining room when checking in. We asked to move rooms as you could hear everything from next door! The staff were helpful and managed to find another room which was great. Parking in the area is very expensive and there was no mention of any discounted car parks by reception staff when checking in / out.

Fantastic hotel it was very clean the staff were amazing great location to all the attractions in the area. Breakfast was fantastic.

This is more of a let down by booking.com than the hotel. I put in a requirement on booking.com that parking was a must on sight of the hotel. Booking.com in its search said parking was available on location which there wasn't. After looking at the booking it does state parking can be found for an extra amount per day. This was mis-leading and if I had known I wouldn't have booked this hotel. But I found parking myself very close by and it was a lot cheaper than what the hotel offered.

The staff were all absolutely lovely and the breakfast was beautiful! The room was plenty in size and I did like that both beds were a decent size (sofa bed was super uncomfortable though)

I think the most disappointing thing about the stay was that there was absolutely no parking on the property which when your heavily pregnant and have a small child even a 10minute walk was a lot of messing about for us. We had to also them pay £66 extra on top of what we had already paid for the hotel just for parking which wasn’t a huge problem but we are in a coat of living crisis so for some this could have thrown off there entire holiday. There was marks on our sheets and when the cleaner made one of the beds while we were out they never got changed.

When running the sink’s tap, there was a smell as if there was a pipe problem. :(
