Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Birmingham Colonnade

Beautiful hotel, wonderful room with a comfortable bed, huge TV and spacious bathroom. Close to grocery store and several restaurants. Even though this hotel is right next to the interstate, our room was on the front side of the hotel and it was absolutely quiet. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Taking off a point because the wi-fi didn't work. Also didn't like the pre-packaged heated breakfast options. I mean, a "Belgian waffle" in a plastic bag in a heated pan? That is just ridiculous.

While traveling, we wanted a place to relax for the night and watch Netflix. It was a great stop for some needed relaxation. It was perfect for that with clean rooms, nice/safe seeming area, and comfortable beds.

Every thing was nice, clean, & very pleasant. Front desk attendant was also very helpful upon check in. Location of extremely nice restaurants were Very convenient

Pillows on the beds were soft but too thin. Could use some just as soft yet a little thicker, but not too thick. Also, reservation name that was submitted on booking & confirmation number that was provided by booking was completely different from what was received by the hotel, which caused a slight scare & concern during check in. However, the attendant was very assertive and took care of everything

Very nice hotel for the money and in a great location. Lots of restaurants close to the hotel. I stayed 2 nights and it was comfy! Good breakfast and staff. I was able to get everywhere in Birmingham easily from this location. I will stay here again.

The front desk agent (Carolyne Slack) warmly welcomed me and my wife and graciously arranged for a king room to be available as soon as one became available. We arrived early and our room was not yet available so she referred a wonderful Cajun style restaurant. Her referral was perfect!!! and just as we finished our meal she arranged for her relief worker to inform us our room was ready, as her shift had ended. The morning upon our departure she embraced us and inquired how our evening dinner had been. She also personally went to gather our breakfast boxes!! Ms. Carolyne is exceptional!! and she helped to make our stay per Perfect!!!

Location was in good proximity to the highway, and made for easy travel into the city. Even though the hotel was so close to a busy interstate the wasn't too much noise to make falling asleep an issue.

When I arrived, mind you at 2:30pm, I was unable to check into a room until a little after 3pm. This was due to the cleaning staff being behind on rooms. When they did have rooms ready, the desk clerk made no effort to let me and the others who had been waiting know that we could now get a room. Thankfully I was ahead of my schedule but had I been more pressed for time I would have been significantly more upset.

Easy check in. Great location and staff were very friendly.

A little more attention to details. Elevators upon arrival needed to be vacuumed, trash and debris on floor.

The staff at front desk was very friendly would defiantly visit again also I called a few hotels that morning and this one was the first place the lady who answered was so sweet so that’s why I chose this particular place …. Thanks for your kindness

Breakfast was adequate but could have included some type of fruit.Possible understaffed that morning with only one staff person working to supply food and remove dirty dishes left by some.

Extra help for breakfast.

The location was very good. The breakfast was also good.

The lighting needs to be upgraded. It would also be nice to have more than one chair in the room.
