Key West Inn - Fairhope

Lovely little gem in Fairhope. Although a motel, they employ a wonderful staff, and its a clean, well maintained property. The staff were very professional, friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable a/c works very well, Direct TV., microwave and refrigerator in rooms. Breakfast from 6-9am with hot and chilled items to choose. Parking lot is well lit and felt safe. There is a pool, that we did not get to use, but it too was clean and well kept. Very nice (too short) stay. Plan to return.

The water pressure in shower could be better, but thats hit and miss of any hotel/motel... All in all, lovely stay. Very pleasant property

Staff was excellent(friendly)! Due to bad weather reports, I was reassured the location was safe traveling from Texas.The date of the hotel had to be changed for an important conference. The hotel was more than willing to accept the changes due to the recent storms. I appreciated the clear instructions on how to safely leave the hotel before 11 AM check out. The hotel is center right in the middle of town where you get great food choices Walmart; gas stations etc.

Due to the high traffic of construction workers it was a safety hazard to have that much water on the stairs and the sand like a muddy experience. Maybe drying off the steps would have worked better; found it to be a little slippery.

I have stayed here several times over the last few months, first because of some plumbing work done in my home and later because I discovered I could grade more papers here without cats and dogs doing a guilt trip on me about working at home instead of holding one or more of them in my lap. Every stay has more than met expectations in terms of accommodations, staff, etc.

The most recent time I made a reservation (non-refundable because I had no expectations of needing to do so after previous stays), I checked to make sure I could get a first floor room because a recent sprain makes it difficult to manage stairs. I was assured a first floor room was available. Apparently it was Booking, not the hotel, making the assurances, and I didn't realize the difference. When I arrived, I learned I could only stay on the second floor, not an option with my limited mobility. The owner tried to help me obtain a refund, but Booking did nothing. I'll return to Key West Inn; I will not be using Booking.com again.

As a retired pool contractor, I noticed right away that the swimming pool was well kept. The hot sausage and eggs were good at breakfast along with juice, bananas, cereal and great coffee. First rate. Staff from the office personnel to housekeeping were very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and well equipped with ironing board, coffee, large TV, fridge, microwave and everything worked to perfection. A well maintained property. All for less than 82.00 a night!

Everyone was so nice, I had even called before making my online appointment and the lady on the phone was really nice. The room was really clean, and had plenty of towels and washrags which i loved! The breakfast the next day was really good, and the coffee bar was excellent. Everything was very clean and kept. We will definitely be staying here next time! So glad I gave this place a chance. Thank you all for this being an amazing experience.

The only thing I didn't like was having to leave the next day 😁

Room was clean, mattress was comfortable, love the fact they didn't have carpet in rooms. TV was good, Ac worked well.... close to Downtown area and very quite at night. Parking was good and staff was helpful & friendly

Breakfast wasn't my thing(continental) bigger coffee pot in room would be nice, better lighting in dressing area ... hard to put make up on, sink was very low and I'm very short.... could of used a few more towels when we check in....but a very comfortable room

My stay this time was longer. I met a lot of new friends. The staff are the best people you could ever meet. I absolutely love the breakfast and the smoking area. The pool is clean and nice.

Parking lot is very small with a first come good Parking is good if you get there early. There are a few that drive a little to fast especially when children are outside .

Staff very friendly, helpful. Building is well kept and attractive. Strong, ample outdoor lighting. Lobby clean, attractive. Covered outdoor seating is a welcome extra feature. Located in Fairhope, AL. It's a very nice, clean, historic small town, affluent suburb/bedroom community. Very short drive from motel to downtown and local waterfront.

(Not a complaint) Just note the motel is on a commercial street east of downtown and local waterfront parks. A very short drive but out of walking distance (for us) especially in summer heat.

The evening staff was very friendly. Price is right for a quick over night stop. It looked to be recently renovated. Looks nice. Breakfast was ok. This sounds like a negative review but over all I would stay there again overnight. Just a few changes needed.

Towels need to be bleached. Bed mattress was too hard. Hard to carry luggage up the stairs if you have bad knees. People on both sides of us was smoking on the balcony in front of our door. Evening staff saw them and didn't say anything to them. There are ash trays on the balcony so I assume it is approved by the owners. Water could be hotter.

The Fairhope Inn is a great little motel in that is clean, well-maintained, and a great value. The rooms were updated and tidy, the property well well-kept, staff were very friendly and helpful, location was convenient to shops and downtown, and they provided a nice breakfast. Staff even made sure to call and check on us when we were running late for check-in as we had car problems.

No complaints at all.
