Hilton Garden Inn Mobile East Bay / Daphne

daphne is a great spot and centrally located to everything in the area. we felt safe at the hotel and location. everything you need is within walking distance or a short drive. super clean and the updates to the hotel are remarkable. accessible on premise alcohol, food and snacks in the lobby. has bar and restaurant.

It was obvious it was an older hotel but the inside far outshines the outside. exterior could use some love but that has nothing to do with what is great about the interior.

No continental breakfast which was almost a deal-breaker. We opted for indoor pool over breakfast. If it had been summer time, we would have chosen a hotel with continental breakfast with an outdoor pool. Waiting to order breakfast in their cafe was not something you want to do with toddlers.

It was SO cozy, so clean, the staff was absolutely friendly and a joy to be around! The restaurant food- AMAZING!! Hands down the absolute BEST hotel I have ever stayed in( I have stayed in a ton).. great location only like a min from bass pro and other fun things! Has an indoor pool that is so clean and nice and plenty of seating and it’s very relaxing!! My only complaint and I hate to even say it when it was hands down my favorite hotel ever so far- was the beds. They are VERY firm. So honestly, if someone likes firm, this may not be an issue. My back hurt some But was definitely not anything to keep me from enjoying my stay! And the pillows were comfy! :) Nice mini fridge, microwave,iron, hair dryer, Keurig type coffee maker, the shower was awesome as it had lots of room and a U shaped shower curtain so that’s nice! Also the shower head had different settings. They offer snacks and drinks and diff things down stairs and it was all just phenomenal!!!!!!! Also it felt so germ free there was hand sanitizer stations and wipes all about the place. Very very nice! HIGHLY recommend- I plan on going there again soon!

The beds were very firm, but not the worst thing. It was a place to sleep and worked :) also- pillows was nice

The staff were really nice! The hotel was conveniently located and clean.

The prices were higher due to Mardi Gras which impacted my family in a negative way as we were in town for a funeral. A funeral rate with proof of a funeral would be awesome for customers. Also no included breakfast was a bummer.

The restaurant was exceptional! Food was much better than expected for a hotel restaurant. The Pasta Weezy was right up there with dishes served at fine-dining restaurants! Staff was very helpful and upbeat. All was a a great experience.

The bed was hard. Really. But that is my only complaint. The room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. If folks prefer hard mattresses, this is your place!

Breakfast was decent, but I thought expensive for $10.99. Hotel was very clean.

Check-in staff erred; after booking, was stated we could pay upon check-in. I reserved 2 rooms, 1 for myself & spouse, 1 for friends and reserved with my credit card. Upon checking in, my friends thought they paid with their credit card (I saw her hand the card to clerk). Upon check out, my friend handed me a check for the amount of her room; the clerk had charged her room to my credit card. I think they (the check-in staff) needed more training. In addition to non-smoking rooms, I requested rooms next door to one another; we were not accommodated. Also for the expensive price we paid for our rooms, I thought there'd have been at least a complimentary breakfast, like a continental breakfast.

Ivy (at the front desk Tuesday) was great and help me get room because the room I booked with Booking.com was messed up.

Booking.com did not have my room confirmed and I will check my credit card to make sure I was not billed twice, I paid at hotel when I left.

Loved the cleanliness of the hotel. It was nicely updated. Also loved there was a Peloton in the fitness center!!! Coffee was good, too!

The only thing I would suggest would be to have a grab and go breakfast option for people that need to rush out to events early.

Price was excellent. The staff, from the front desk to the housekeepers, are the kindest people we've ever met! We spent 4 days in this hotel and they treated us like family every day! Extra towels without question, cleaned the room when we asked, and always asked how we were doing when we walked by.

Only issue we really had, which wasn't even an issue, was the a/c was so cold we had to turn it up to 75, and even then the person sleeping next to it almost frozen to death

not a lot lighting in the bathroom. had to put makeup on in the room with the shades open. only a couple of table lamps as well. very dark. a tiny shampoo bottle for two people. rooms are small and felt cramped at times.
