Baymont by Wyndham Flagstaff

This place is just great and with a very affordable rate ! room was clean, WIFI/TV/aircon were working well. Nice swimming pool and hot tub located behind the building, means very quite. Actually the hotel is a bit above the main street, small hill, so you really don't hear any traffic. The breakfast was also excellent including bacon ! When I was there, some maintenance work was (remodeling), but nothing to worry about.

Only negative remark, I had issues connecting to WIFI since at check-in the lady did not tell me about the "special action" to be done when confirming the connexion. Nothing complicated, but would have been nice to inform me before I had to go back to front desk to ask what's going on.

Great Breakfast (has waffle maker) Good Coffee, juice, muffins and other goodies. The room was nice and included a desk, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. (yay) Our room was near the pool and yet it was pretty quiet. Loved that the pool was heated and clean as with the Jacuzzi/Spa/Hot Tub.

Didn't love that the Railing that goes into the Spa was hanging on by a thread... uh, screw, and was not as secured to the base as it should be. The ceiling of the room let us know that the room above had plumbing issues. It had been patched but not finished (orange peel knock down texture & Paint). Other than that, our room was clean, cozy, quiet.

Most everything about this location was nice. The breakfast was pretty good. The coffee was good and they had waffles, fruit juice, and everything else you would expect for a hotel hot breakfast. The room was clean and pretty well outfitted. The bed was confy and the hotel was quiet and restfull.

The Hand Rail to the Jacuzzi was dangerously loose and caused me to fall when getting out of the jacuzzi. Would have liked it if the facility was non-smoking in all areas as people were smoking out by the pool and created an issue where we had to cut our pool/jacuzzi time short.

Fast, easy and painless check in. Room was clean and in good repair. Everything in room worked, linens in bathroom and on bed were clean. Was thrilled to see beds had regular sized pillows instead of the tiny ones most hotels have been gravitating towards. Bed was comfortable and appreciated the in room coffee maker, microeave and fridge. Location is convenient and close to airport, and room rates are affordable and some of the most reasonable in the area. Front desk staff is friendly and efficient. Was within walking distance of restaurants and stores. Continental Breakfast was running a little late and not fully out when I arrived, but appreciated none the less.

Walkways outside of rooms need some repair and paint, but I'm going to give them a lot of slack here since the winter in Flagstaff this year was really extreme and brutal.

The breakfast and staff were great. The pool was nice but could tell it was old and not updated, there was some Foundation along the top of the pool that was cracking/falling off. The hot tub was very nice. The rooms were very comfortable.

the entrance to the hotel was off a very busy intersection and it had a sharp curve and you couldn't see other vehicles exiting very well. They did have a mirror to try to help with seeing oncoming vehicles as you entered off the very busy road.

Easy check in, the room and linens were clean, bed was comfortable and the grounds were tidy and well kept despite the remainder of the huge amount of snow recently recieved. Appreciated the in room fridge and coffee maker. Close to many restaurants and shopping and easy access right off I40. Fairly good value for the area, and would stay again if in the area.

Towels although clean, were VERY stiff and scratchy, and very uncomfortable to dry sensitive skin with. Glad we had a 3rd floor room as the place was full of families with kids. I wouldn't have wanted upstairs neighbors at this property on this particular weekend. Hot tub was available, but it's very small and the jets are pretty worn and ineffective.

Bigger sign at road would be great! Staff was great, room was comfortable. Breakfast was good and hot...very appreciated. I think one extra staffer for the desk during the breakfast hours would be a relief for the existing employees. Very rude customer was slamming the desk bell for a clerk whom was double timing as the breakfast attendant. I felt sorry for that clerk.

Ice machine on second floor. Rude lady at front desk-customer, not employee. Need bigger sign at road.

The room was clean, although a bit small, which was fine since we just needed a place to sleep. (The couch had also been repaired with duct tape, which was a weird sight in a hotel). The window opened widely (maybe more than it was supposed to), which meant we could let the cool mountain air into the room. The included breakfast looked decent (we went into town, but the breakfast room was full of families chowing down.)

The driveway in and out of the hotel is a bit awkward. The front desk wasn't always staffed during key times (like checkout) and they tried to give me someone else's bill. And as I mentioned in my review, the couch had been ripped at some point and repaired with tape.

The pool and spa. My room was near the pool and reception area. The breakfast was good although I am a vegetarian so only ate the scrambled eggs not bacon and sausage. The location of the hotel was convenient for walking in town and nearby.

The spring on the room door was so strong I had to put the chair in between it to keep it open. The window was locked and not able to open it. I would normally open my window for fresh air being in the mountains. Some of the families and their children were noisy.

Very good standard. No surprises, except a two minor pleasant ones. (1) There is an elevator. There are only on three levels, and many hotels with this layout do not have elevators. This one does. Nice. (2) The armchair and the desk chair both exceeded my expectations. I found both comfortable and functional. Great location, especially if you have business at the Northern Arizona University.

The air conditioning/heating unit in the room was one of those standard chain-hotel noisy things. It worked very well, and it was in fair shape (no strange creaking and clanging sounds) but I am looking forward to the day when the hotel replaces it with something that makes you feel less like in a giant hair dryer.
