The rooms were a nice size, and had a nice (partially obstructed) view of the lake. The pool was a decent size and deep enough to dive into gently. You can't beat the location--it's a 5 minute walk to the village, and about the same to the launching area for a number of kayak rental places. The owner couldn't have been nicer, and made sure to check in with us every day. He made sure to give us the best possible room for our rate.

Nothing. The property and some of the furniture is a little older, but it is clean and we didn't mind the age. Also, this is not management's fault, but guests in two of the rooms next to ours were loud until 4 or 5 am our first night, and it was very hard to sleep as a result. However, when we told the owner about this, he immediately contacted those guests to rectify the problem. The owner was great!

My husband and I really enjoyed the room overall. The option of a small kitchen made it easy to have meals without spending too much for a weeks stay. The hot tub was very comfortable and the fire place situated in the main room plus the hot tub area was perfect.

My husband and I love to watch movies on our trips during down time. We usually use our laptops with services like prime or Netflix. With that said our Wifi kept buffering our movies and upon more guest arrivals it was near impossible to play any movie at all. We expected a delay due to location of the mountain and all so it wasn’t a huge deal breaker.

Our stay was excellent, above our expectations. Styled and clean room, very quiet. Jacuzzi was a bonus for the evening :) Lake is nearby, and the Lodge isn't located in the crowded village, that's great. The bed was comfy. Staff is helpful and nice. Hope to stay here again.

The staff is wonderful. Anything and everything we needed, they went above and beyond. The room was clean and everything is right there for you. Like utensils, pots and pans, wine bottle opener, wine glasses. I could go on and on. I recommend fully that you stay here when in Big Bear. You will love it as much as my husband and I did. We plan on going back before the summer is over.

Absolutely nothing.

I liked that the cabin was separate from other buildings and had its own parking spots it was close to the lake so that was nice the beds were comfy.

the sink was a bit clogged and the curtain in the kitchen wasn’t working so I had to put a blanket over the window. the couches were stiff so maybe get some leather couches or something softer I also put a soft blanket over the couches I don’t like the feeling of roughness

Really nice staff. They even gave me a call when I was late for check-in to make sure I was okay. Rooms are super clean and warm and the ac/heat works perfectly. The rooms have a nice cozy mountain vibe which makes it really comfortable versus other hotel rooms. Stayed here twice already and already booked a room for next weekend. Also, if you're looking to enjoy the village at night after a day of riding, this is the place to stay. Took me and my buddy about 5 mins to walk to the village for dinner.

Don't like how they put a $100 hold on your card. As long as they have your card info I don't think they should put that hold on it because it takes 3-5 days to be credited back to your account.

Excellent room with a Jacuzzi tub. Not big but had all the necessary stuff - fridge, microwave, gas stove. Looks great and very comfortable.

Parking is a bit tight (small lot) and walking to downtown involves a bit of walking along the highway with no sidewalk. It's very minor though and not really an issue.

I stayed at Fireside Lodge with my terrier "Chunk" for three nights. Perfect accommodations for our stay. I had a way cool spa bath in my room! Upon arrival, I was welcomed by Shawna. She treated my pet with a treat, which was awesome! She was really nice. Later, I met Sunny. He was really nice, too. Fireside Lodge is perfectly located (minutes) near The Village and other shopping areas. Close driving proximity to walking/biking trails. Beautiful views throughout Big Bear Lake. Overall, the entire Big Bear area is a very nice place to visit and quite pet-friendly, which is a huge plus. Bring your pets! They'll love every minute spending the time with you, just like mine did. We went everywhere together (i.e. lake, shopping stores, walking hikes, restaurants, too.). We had a fun and memorable time and look forward to returning again very soon. Stay at Fireside Lodge. We had a wonderful stay there and know you will, too.

There was nothing I really didn't like. In fact, everything was great!

The location and everything else!

My parents are seniors, and I treated them to a hottub in their room for their anniversary. Unfortunately, there was no step stool in or out of the tub. Apparently, it took my dad a very long time to get my mom out of the tub, and almost called for assistance. They have a good sense of humor about it, but it made me nervous. Mainly, I wanted to offer the suggestion to include foot stools or hand grips to get in and out of the amazing hot tub in the room, safely.

Great staff! Loved the jacuzzi tub, comfortable and clean room. Location was good for us. We are thinking of going back again in the future.

The room is small, it is a older hotel but at the end of our stay it worked out great!
