Sierra Blue Hotel & Swim Club

Like the staffs are very courteous, friendly. The room we stayed in was so nice. I like how spacious it was. We had a table to eat. A chair to relax. It has cute light blue color microwave (not a plain black microwave), little cute fridge & for coffee lover (it has a coffee maker). The bed so comfy. The pillows & blankets so soft. It was so comfortable sleeping at all. It feels so good to sleep in. I slept so good for a night. Furniture are new too. Shower have a good water pressure which I like. It has inside pool too. Definitely, staying here again. The location is in a walking distance to the village. The outside of the facility was in construction during our stay which it didn't really bothered me at all. They are in a process of renovating the place during our stay.

Noises from upstairs due to kids running. But I understand kids tend to do that. Not a big bothered. It's a thin wall. Hearing noises.

The hotel was less than 2 full blocks away from 'The Village' AKA downtown which has lots of shops, restaurants, movie theater, etc. It is across the street from the bowling alley (bowling barn) and the lake. Our room also had a view of the lake and mountains which was very much appreciated. Mrs. Julee was very hospitable and welcoming and made checking in and out incredibly easy.

There was nothing the hotel could do about this, but there was a lot of noise early in the morning from what sounded like heavy equipment being operated.

The beds were so comfortable is comfortable the atmosphere so relaxing it's so relaxing I usually can't sleep in a different environment but I sleep really heavy fresh air knocked me right out when it was time to sleep. I want to say thank you to the staff everyone was so understanding and very nice.

Everyone was excellent!! The facility was going through renovation When they're done this is going to be a perfect place to vacation. Everyone the staff was excellent.

Location is very nice, we had a view of the beautiful lake and it’s close to the restaurants and shops. Our room and the motel in general is super clean and my spouse and I slept like babies! it’s very rear to find an actual motel with comfy pillows! and the receptionist was very pleasant to talk to. I love how they have chill edm music playing in the hallway. My spouse and I loved staying at this motel will definitely stay here ok our next big bear trip.

The staff are very accommodating. We were easily able to book a second night. Our room was was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. The bed was very comfy. Liked the retro microwave and refrigerator. Plenty of natural light (big window) we had a view of the mountains. Travel by car to ski area was about 5-8 minutes away. Easy peasy.

The price was a bit high, $185 incl. taxes, for one night. But we did not take advantage of most of the amenities. Were too busy enjoying the ski area.

I just loved this place. The decor was so bohemian and unique. It felt like the owners took such care in the placement of items and decor. I loved the lobby with the fireplace and coffee and tea availability. The soft music played was even my style. Loved the neon uplifting signs...Also the staff was always there to answer questions and help in a caring friendly attitude. there were so many perks in the room. Even a black make up towel. so clever. I loved the different lights. The ceiling fan. the dresser fills with goodies and water if needed. Even drinks in the frig if you wanted. It felt more like a cozy room in a home instead of a hotel. I loved the white noise device that was also a charging station. I am going to buy that for my home. Its like you guys thought of everything I would like. you could walk to the great Big Bear Village where we enjoyed the best Thai and Indian food. We were very close to the hikes we enjoyed too. thank you for a perfect stay.

I wish the pool was warmer to get in but I enjoyed the hot tub immensely.

The location was great. I loved how the property has been updated. It’s an older property that has highlighted the cool aspects. All three of us voted that we’d stay there again instead of the big hotel just around the corner where we had stayed the last time.

We didn’t really have anything negative to say. We were only there for one night. We did not visit the pool so I can’t comment on that.

we loved everything. the bed was comfortable and the room had a full coffee bar, fridge and microwave. the hotel wasn’t noisy and walls were soundproof. staff was awesome and they even had doggy bones in the lobby for our pup. it’s also less than a 10 minute walk to the village. it was perfect

soap dispenser in shower wasn’t filled but literally this was the only thing

Our stay was excellent. Julee was very kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. We were celebrating birthdays and the staff went above and beyond to upgrade our room, put balloons in the room, and even give us beautiful flowers when we left. The hotel is in a great location and the beds were very comfortable.

It is a bummer you have to pay for a early check-in.
