Ayres Hotel San Diego South - Chula Vista

New and clean. Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. In a new neighborhood with a lot of restaurants.

A little far from the water and San Diego, but the 20 min drives were fine given the value of this hotel.

The location is great as it is situated near many shops, and restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel. It is about a 7 to 10 minute drive to Sesame place for families who will be visiting the park. We were checked in by Luna end it was a quick and effortless check-in. The Hotel wasnt, busy or loud which worked for us. Our request to have a first floor room was honored which was a great. There are EV charging stations in the parking lot, a pool, laundry facilities, and gym at this hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would be booking our stay again at this hotel when we are in the area.

there is a restaurant on site that serves breakfast, but does not serve lunch or dinner.  this is not a big deal, but it could be an inconvenience for those looking to remain or relax within the hotel premises.

Breakfast is always delicious with good options. Freshly made omelettes on the weekends are the best! The close proximity to the CV Olympic Training Center is so convenient and the reason we stay here.

The only thing that I would suggest to improve is the toilet paper. It was rough and 1-ply. For a nice hotel, a detail such as this could be fixed quite easily.

The hotel was modern, clean and friendly with plenty of parking and great places to eat nearby within walking distance. Our room was large with all amenities, a lovely clean ensuite and a very comfortable bed.

The breakfasts were a big let down with very poor choices.and mostly sugary offerings. Omelettes were only offered on the one day of the three we stayed there and the queue was so long we had to give it a miss.

Brand new place , smelled awesome, everyone on staff was friendly and went out of their way to help. We were stuck in a shopping center just north of the hotel with no internet coverage (no Uber) and no taxi's in sight . I called the front desk and they found a taxi that had to drive 10 minutes from their normal coverage to get us. I have to say above and beyond is how i describe your staff and hotel. If i ever have the opportunity to stay at a Ayers hotel again they will be my first choice for sure. I found it hard to pick at anything with this hotel. I guess the one thing was no bottled water in the room. Everything else was top notch. The halls had a thicker pad than normal under the carpet so no one had to listen to my bag roll down the hall. Actually the place was so quiet we thought we were the only ones there.

This is a very new hotel and the room was very large. A nice hot breakfast was complimentary. The fitness center was excellent. The hotel is located near the Otay Ranch Town Center and many shops and restaurants are either a short walk or car ride away.

The only issue we had was the TV and the internet were not working in our room. I called the front desk and they offered to come up to see what was the problem, but by this time it was after 9pm so I just got by without it.

The property is very well kept. It’s impressive that the hallways even smell fresh, which is usually not the case for hotels! And while it’s not a full service hotel, it sure helps that you can get a decent breakfast in the mornings and a cocktail at night! The courtyard and pool area is a nice touch as well!

The pressure and temperature in the shower were too low and not hot enough. While the breakfast is decent, I found it quite surprising that for the 6 days of my stay, there was NEVER any bacon. I asked each morning and the cooks said no! One of them finally told me, on our last day having breakfast there was that bacon was too hard to cook for only two people working.

This was our first time staying here. The breakfast was delicious. Very clean hotel. The pool and jacuzzi were nice. I wanted a room with a pool view instead we were given a room facing North. I called down to the front desk they immediately made the change for us with no issues. For dinner we walked over to one of the restaurants for dinner. Great location. We had a wonderful stay.

If I have to say anything, the only one let down was we had such a great time I wanted to book another night unfortunately no rooms were available. No real complaints.

The breakfasts were as good if not better than an actual sit down restaurant. Way better than we would expect from a complimentary breakfast.

A couple of nights the lobby stunk of pot. People would stand right outside the entrance to light up and to us they should have the same restrictions a regular tobacco user would have as far as stinking up the place. This was our only complaint while there.

I liked that the property was close to everything such as Ross, Panera and other restaurants and clothing stores in the area. Offered free parking and felt safe due to needing a key to access the front and back of the building.

I wish the room had actual curtains in the room. But other than that the hotel was beautiful.
