Ye Olde Danish Inn

Full of character. Very well thought-through in terms of comfort, privacy etc. Great size of living space!

No breakfast, poor percolator coffee. I am glad we had a forgotten cherry pie in the car otherwise you are forced to drive to the center to look for sth to eat first thing you wake up. Also, I felt a little bit like I intruded into the peaceful life of the guy who runs it.

Great location overlooking the quaint town of Ferndale, an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The lodging was comfortable and the Danish theme was a charming environment.

I liked the kitchenette but the fridge was older and didn't have a freezer compartment. There is no sink except in the bathroom.

No breakfast included. Room wax spacious and clean and was in the hills over Ferndale. Very quiet. Deer came through the yard with two fawns. Very relaxing spot. Owners friendly and were there to answer any questions or available if anything was needed. Microwave and kitchenware and fridge were very useful. Good ventilation.

Wife felt the wifi kicked her off a few times with her apple cell phone but I had no problem with my Samsung.

The location is beautiful. The inn is lovely.

We stayed in a suite upstairs in a separate building, which was very quiet and private. There was even a private balcony. However, the room where the bed is, is a dormer. With a fairly large chair in the corner, maneuvering around the bed to the bathroom was difficult.

Quaint place. Beautiful views from balcony, felt like home. Quiet, private, walking distance to town (steep driveway)

Was not told upfront about 9 pm cutoff for check in. Inn owner sent us an email on day of arrival but we were on a part of the drive that we had no cell service. Luckily we got there by 7 pm. Where you check in is the owners home. When you walk up to door it is a bit cluttered and is not clearly marked. My husband thought we were in the wrong place. Once we were shown our room we we delighted. Bed was comfortable. There was alot of dripping marks on the wall from condensation (need vent) and the baseboard in bathroom were a little dirty but otherwise we enjoyed it.

Bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! The owners were very lovely! Highly recommend Russ Park which is extremely close by! Loved all the books on Denmark lying around.

Location is up a very windy road - but luckily it is still easily accessible into town (mainstreet Ferndale) by foot if you are patient/slow : )

The Olde Danish Inn is close to the center of Ferndale and even closer to the road to Petrolia near the north end of the Lost Coast Trail. The rooms are spacious and sparkling clean. We enjoyed our weekend visit and would come again.

This was simply a fantastic place to stay in Ferndale. The room (above the garage) was cozy, yet spacious, and very clean. The inn is in a quiet bucolic spot and an easy walk to the eateries on main street. And, the WIFI was strong. I highly recommend!

Quaint suite, very nicely decorated with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Beautiful surroundings with a spectacular view from the top of the hill where the inn is located. Friendly owners.

It's somewhat tricky to get up the road leading to the hill. But that is a very minor point.

Very sweet room, spectacular location (including a tranquil view of Ferndale through the misty trees), and lovely hosts. This was our second time staying here and we are already looking forward to coming back.
