The Redwood Riverwalk Hotel

My husband reserved a king suite room, yet when we arrived, the room was unavailable-- so we were upgraded to a jacuzzi honeymoon suite! Okay, we'll happily oblige! Other than that, the hotel was so nice, the atmosphere was incredible, the room was great, the breakfast was fantastic, and the price was phenomenal! Also, the staff were super nice, extremely helpful. It was a great stay; I just wish we weren't there for only one night!

Our upgraded room did have some damage; the loveseat had a tear or two in it, the door to the bathroom had a rather large hole in the door (it was like the hanger was yanked out of the door) and my husband notified them, which was helpful. And I hate to do this, especially since it wasn't really the hotel's fault, but a heavy aroma of pot/cannabis all around the hotel, within the rooms (that stuff seeps into and through everything), all about the walkways, everywhere! Again, I know that it isn't the hotel as there are not supposed to smoking of any kinds in the rooms, but it was an overwhelming pot smell, so I just wanted to let anyone know that terrible vice to be wary of.

I liked the style and atmosphere. Its super close to Eel River brewery.which is a great place. I wish I had remembered my bathing suit because they had a nice indoor pool. Next time I stay there I'm going to walk on the Eel River trail right behind the motel.. It's right off the 101, so easy access., but you don't see or hear the traffic.

My room was a little noisy. It seemed like there was a lot of activity. But that could have just been the particular neighbors, happy kids and a dog; nothing that made me feel unsafe.

We did enjoy our stay at the Redwood Riverwalk. The staff was quite friendly and the room very clean. There was no carpet which we loved. Parking was right in front of our room.The breakfast starts at 6 and was perfect for early birds and those who have tight schedules.

The breakfast buffet was good but not as seen in the pictures. The check out wasn't that easy because no one was there although we rang the Bell multiple times.

Location, size of room, cleanliness, amenities, family and fun focused. It was a comfortable stay for the kids to play and enjoy the pool and spa. Breakfast was continental - many food options nearby.

It is a cannabis supported hotel - you will smell cannabis around the rooms and common area. Our TV w snot working and we were told we had to wait for the maintenance, no follow up was provided. We just use our phones. It is a pet-friendly hotel so you will hear barking of pets throughout the day.

The beds were a good size and comfortable. The rooms are large. There were four of us and we had plenty of room. The pool was a nice break after a long drive. The outdoor picnic area has been redone and looks quite inviting. The lobby is very nice, with coffee and tea available all day, and many, many books for every age group. The decorations are very nice. The tables are the varnished redwood, and gorgeous. The breakfast surprised us with traditional biscuits and gravy. The staff was friendly and flexible. One family arrived after us and set up their picnic dinner in the lobby, and everyone seemed okay with it.

The pool could have been a little warmer. The room could be a little brighter. If the price was slightly lower we would have stayed a second night. It was $190 per night. Apparently there are room upgrades available at the same price, but you have to know in advance to ask.

The lobby was cute! Loved the borrowing books idea, and the decor. Rooms were decent, although dated.

Our bed was not very comfortable. We could feel the springs and it sagged into the middle. The breakfast was not very good. We had to order the night before, and pick up the prepackaged food the next morning. You had a choice of 2 items off of a list. Nothing we received was tasty at all unfortunately. They did have a few items for purchase, like a breakfast sandwich. Maybe if they could offer that 1 item, instead of 2 lesser items?

Good breakfast, spacious room, a nice outdoor space for food/drinks, an area to take your dog outside, the lobby had heaps of books and board games to keep one entertained especially during the gloomy weather.

Upon check in, the staff on the desk were pretty hopeless and rude. Unlike other hotels/motels we’ve experienced on our trip, they did not let us know any of the facilities or amenities available to us (I.e breakfast, laundry, pool, grills and outdoor area etc.) or what nearby restaurants were good for dinner. We had no idea that there was a breakfast available the next day either. We thought that we were pretty lucky that they told us where the room was. It appeared they were preoccupied with either being on the phone or listening to music. I should say other staff members the next day were much more friendly and accommodating.

The room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly. Close to eat at a choice of restaurants.

The room was nice, however did not look anything like the photos at all. The breakfast was apples and there were a couple slices of banana bread left. Coffee in the room was only decaf.

The location is nice, close to a pleasant riverwalk and highway 101. I really appreciated the flexibility of the staff: I booked the hotel for a wrong date and they changed it without extra charges! I also liked the breakfast, with fresh bluberries, bananas and oranges.

The rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. Kids loved pool, toys & books.... and Direct TV Lol. The outdoor area was beautiful. The dog area is awesome. The artwork in building is so cool.

Not much to complain about. There weren't any vending machines but that was more of a complaint by my 13yo. There is a Shell station right across the parking lot which offers more than any vending machine would. Oh and no freezer in the mini fridge.
