Hampton Inn San Diego Mission Valley

- large bedroom - confortable bed - very nice and tasty breakfast - 24hours complementary tea, coffee and hot chocolate - nice location - nice gym room - we had been allowed to use the swimming pool and the hot tub of the nearest Hilton (same company), because ours was closed for works.

- two staff members from the front desk didn't understand you if you have an accent - parking price expensive - night safety guard doesn't say "hello" - swimming pool and hot tub was closed

The pool area and outside area is beautiful!

Christina at the front desk was rude to us and to other guests. She refused to have housekeeping make up our room stating that four nights didn't qualify for housekeeping service. Since we were running out of clean towels and toilet paper we asked Christina for that twice, and both times it never arrived. I resorted to getting the towels and toilet paper on my own from a cart in the hallway and also emptied our rooms trash.

All of our needs were met. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a nice store to buy snacks and frozen food items for a quick meal using the microwave in your room. Also had a small fridge.

Breakfast was good but would like to have just plain scrambled egg option everyday and some gluten free options for toast and pastries. We don't eat pork or beef, so the addition of poultry breakfast meat like turkey sausage or bacon would be great. Turkey sausage was available for only one of the 3 days of our stay.

The breakfast was a really good start to a great day! The staff from Kristen at the front desk and the maintenance guy that replaced the showerhead all were kind and helpful! The location was prime! Right in the middle of all the attractions we had planned...

I reserved a Premium King Studio on Booking.com and when we checked in, the Hotel gave us a 2 Queen room. They had to refund me the difference as they did not have King rooms available like the Booking.com website had me believe. They did however, gave us free parking for the entire stay.

The continental breakfast was as expected. Breakfast area was very well maintained by the staff. The food was always stocked well and the area was very clean. We had a rental car for 3 days and there was always plenty of parking. The pool and hot tub were some of the best that we have had at a hotel. Towels were well stocked every time we used the pool and the patio area was very clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was very friendly, especially Yolanda. She made us feel very welcomed.

The breakfast was really good a lot of variety of things to eat. It definitely was a plus to start our morning each day.

One of the staff members when we first arrived wasn’t friendly at all. She was kind of rude and that put a bad taste in my mouth about the hotel until we came across another person who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with our stay.

The breakfast really wasn’t that good but I’m thankful that it was there and there was an option to have it. I really liked the openness of the lobby and that there were plenty of places to sit. The hot tub and fitness center were great too.

I would say the not automatic cleaning of every room everyday. I think turn up service should be automatic. also, the third party system of booking didn’t let the hotel know we were coming so it rook us multiple tries to get checked in.

Hampton Inn was very clean loved the fire pit outside and lounge area. Breakfast was really convenient and good as well. Staff was super polite and welcoming.

I didn’t care for the location of the Hotel it was right along the freeway and surrounding area was not as kept up . It wasn’t horrible nothing that wouldn’t make me come back .

The Wi-Fi was terrible, the refrigerator only runs for two hours then shuts off. We had insulin that had to be kept cold, and although The front desk took it and put it in the hotel refrigerator but that is an inconvenience any hotel I stayed in I could keep the insulin on hand shutting down the refrigerator and have to push a button every two hours is ridiculous. It was a quick stay but we didn’t have a car so in order to eat something back and forth Uber that cost money there was no restaurants or fast food in walking distance

this property was amazing. clean. the staff was amazing as well, and love the fact that they have coffee right at the entrance 24 hours and it was delicious.

the only downside of this property is breakfast, the fact that you have to be in line for your turn to make you own waffles sucked. it took me about 30 to 40 minutes to make line, make my own waffles for a family of 3, and sit be able to sit for breakfast.
