Candlewood Suites San Diego, an IHG Hotel

Everything in the hotel was great. The staff was always having a good disposition to help, the facilities and the rooms were clean, the rooms were having big spaces to been in family, the kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable.

The locations for the hotel is not too close to San Diego's downtown.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds were really comfortable. It was nice having a kitchen and a bonus was there was free washing and drying machines. The staff were friendly and nice. We had no issues with noise at all. We will definitely be back.

The hotel does look a little old. The only issue we had was the pull out couch bed frame was broken but we just put the mattress on the floor. Honestly would totally come back.

Location, staff friendliness, clean and lots of room for a family of 5. Room was spacious. We booked the 2 bedroom suite. Will definitely book again.

The stove top didn't work in our room but since we were there to vacation it was OK, I wasn't planning on cooking anyways. There is also no pool just a small spa area. Other than that everything else was great.

We purchased a new home in the area and had to spend a week in the hotel. Candlewood Suites worked great for us. Centrally located in Mission Valley, we were able to be close to family and the new house, as well as food establishments and shopping. With a small efficiency kitchen, cooking utensils, full size refrigerator, stovetop and microwave we were able to store frozen food from the move, as well as heat up or prepare small meals. The suite provides a desk like island, a separate bedroom with tv as well as a living room with tv. Bathroom had an outside vanity with shower and toilet in its own private area. Nothing grand, but the staff was very helpful, room serviceable, cost efficient and a great location.

We were not informed of the parking fee ($8 per day x2) in an open lot.

clean property, not the most recently updated, but served us well! the bathroom had full size shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel from a nice, recognizable brand and the kitchen had everything we needed. front desk was very friendly and helpful. the gym and loaning locker were nice amenities to have.

room seemed to smell a tiny bit damp as we entered, but it appeared to be clean.

Phone landline didnt work to call front desk. But i didnt need the phone. Ventilation fan didnt work in bathroom. Room 113

Loved how big the room was.

There wasn't really an area to hang out outside with kids.

Having a kitchenette is a real boon. It is stocked with just enough and everything works well. The staff was great, and friendly and helpful.

Lots of room, I have a big family and we all fit comfortably, beds were comfortable and I liked that the 2nd bedroom had a door.

The floor was not clean, it could have used a good mopping.
