Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Diego - Mission Valley, an IHG Hotel

The front desk was incredibly patient and helpful with finding me a quiet room so I could work, I appreciated that so much. And to my surprise this is the first time I've actually gone to a hotel and they have a heated pool instead of just advertising that they do. The pool was so warm and pleasant it really made my evening after finishing work. All of the staff were very nice! and if I hadn't of chosen to slept in I would have loved to have tried breakfast. They were very nice and accommodating for a late check out, I needed the rest so badly. This stay really made me feel refreshed and pleasant upon leaving. Will definitely be back again, thank you for such a great stay and for helping me find the right room!

If I really had to say something it would only be that the bed was a little too hard for my personal Comfort although some people prefer a harder bed. The rooms were very clean and they smelled fresh and not of harsh disinfectants and I really appreciated that it's a lovely property.

Location was very convenient as it's close to Hillcrest and a short drive from the Gaslamp. This hotel has one of the best breakfast selections I've seen. Everything was fresh and tasted good.

Paying for overnight parking at the hotel feels like a scam.

The location was good and served well by Uber and Lyft. Modern and comfortable room. Breakfast was good with hot items and an attentive staff.

There was a huge school group staying there and the pool and lobby was overrun with kids. We never got a chance to use the pool in three days and the lobby area never.

The hotel is in a great location, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were huge, and the free breakfast was awesome. The bathroom had humidity control, so the mirrors didn't fog up, and there was lots of counterspace. I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay.

The only things that made this hotel less than ideal were the limited parking, small parking spots, and the fact that I had to pay to park.

The rooms were comfy and very clean! The pool area was really nice. Breakfast was great and better than most “free” hotel breakfasts! Lots to choose from, pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon, oatmeal, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt, etc. We really enjoyed it!

The only complaint we had was parking!! It’s awful! The spots are so small and people park crooked. At one point I had to enter my car from the passenger side and climb across to the drivers side to leave. So frustrating. There isn’t enough parking, so we couldn’t go anywhere at night because we feared losing our parking spot. The hotel is also set behind another “motel type” property and is difficult to see at first.

I placed all the linen on the floor after I stripped the bed before check out . This is a habit of mine when I stay at any hotel plus to me it’s make it easier on housekeeping. Unfortunately, housekeeping did not clean the second sheet and fitted sheet underneath. It had brown marks all over and long strains of hair all over, I have really curly hair. It makes me wonder if they do this everyday. It bothers me that I did not know this until checking out

The over night young lady Ilanna at the ftont desk was excellent . She when above and beyond to help @ 3am when I had checked out of the Days Inn hotel next door . Don't ever stay there horrible..she took her time to accommodate me and my Son . She seen I was in so much distress after my ordeal next door. Next door refunded me my money and I came to your hotel and put this room on my CC . She has a beautiful soul . I pray she exceeds at everything . She is a asset to your company. We need more Beautiful souls in the world.

Customer service was excellent from the time we arrived until the time we left. They exceeded our expectations. The place itself was very clean and comfy too! The pool was warm and great for kids! We also love how safe it was because you need your room key to be able to go to any floor in the building. Building looks new and is well maintained. But for me it's the customer sevice especially in the front desk that made our stay more exceptional! Your gem is the people working there! 😊

I liked that it had the essentials and probably my favorite thing that stands out about holiday inn is that their nightstand lamps always have ports for chargers. That access makes a difference to me.

The shower water pressure was lacking and the iron didn’t work well. The room itself felt a little snug/crammed but this style would be fine for someone traveling for business. I wouldn’t invite people to come by my hotel to hang out or get ready for an event because of the lack of space.
