Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Del Mar/Solana Beach

We stayed just one night on the first day they were open. This facility formerly operated as a La Quinta Inn but has been fully remodeled. Interior decor modern and rooms well-appointed which one would expect of a Courtyard. As far as we could tell (we didn't eat in the cafe) everything seemed to be going smoothly.

One thing that was not in service was charging stations in the parking garage for electric vehicles (not yet installed as of December 2022). Also, one parking garage has very limited parking and it wasn't obvious that there's another larger parking lot around the corner. Perhaps some signage had not yet been installed. There was a minor hiccup with the coffee dispenser in the lobby, which made excellent lattes but seems like it might be backed up with a long line during the morning rush.

The cleanliness of the room and the staff were great. Services were great. Even late night tequests were courteously handled.

The website lead me to believe there was a restuarant/bar onsite. Which there is not. Also all the hype about being on the beach, there is no direct beach access. Finally parking is a rip-off, why are you charging $22.00 a night... because corporate says you have to. Why cant you be different. After all guest are paying $300 a night you cant throw in free parking. That was the biggest let down of the week, except for the sunday morning 6;15 fire alarm wake up. Only to be told ...oh someone pulled the fire alarm....nothing or no one said it was all clear to go back to your rooms....

Location was perfect. Room was very nice.

Expensive. Had to pay for daily parking, that was disappointing. The "Market" had limited selection. The one time I used the pool, there were no towels. I went in to the main desk and asked for towels, she said she would have towels brought out. 20 minutes later, no towels. I saw another employee by the pool, asked for towels. 10 minutes later, no towels. I found another employee by the pool, asked for towels. 10 minutes later no towels. I had to go back to my room dripping wet.

I liked the comfortable bed, the location. Staff was friendly. Underground parking a plus but too expensive. Expect that at a higher end resort Liked having refrigerator in room

No clock, nightlight, room Arcadia door faced west. Too sunny to sit on patio. Asked for inside room looking at pool but location of room was disappointing. Saw roof and sun Wi-Fi was terrible. Lobby very cold Parking overpriced

This is a lovely hotel, nice an quiet and our room was the one shown in the pictures on booking.com! Pool area is lovely. The bar across the street is very stylish, classy without being stuffy. Is a short walk to the beach, although there are a lot of steps down to it!

Nothing bad to report.

I loved the room. It was clean, spacious, extremely well decorated and very comfortable. I also liked your business center-very convenient. The location was great-close to the beach and to all the other things people want to be near.

I had an awfully long walk to my room. I had blown my knee and I was in horrible pain. But your staff came through once again-helped me to my room and even brought me ice the next 2 days. But regardless-when your luggage, I think I prefer to go up not out.

Location is great, very close to the beach. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The court yard was very nice to sit out in.

Would have been nice to have a coffee/tea bar available 24hrs. The bistro was only open in the morning for a few hours and was closed 2 of the 7 days we stayed. Would have been nice to have more food options on site.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Coming into the lobby was warm and easy. The room was quiet, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Great shower as well. I will definitely be back. It was a great stay that far exceeded my expectations.

Location and accommodations were great for our trip. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

This was not the hotel's fault, but the only con was the noisy upstairs guests.

room was good size pool area was great would have like cafe to have longer hours but understand there wasn’t many people around so maybe opens longer over summer

not enough bright light in room (why do all hotels think guests want to be in the dark?)
