Best Western Executive Hotel New Haven-West Haven

One of the elevator at first when you take it and press 2 it will take you 4 or 6 so they put it out of service so it was only one elevator was working but that was ok I take the stairs although I on the 5 floor. sometimes and water 💧 is in front of the elevator are in side the elevator I do understand that may cost from people going in and out from the swimming pool but it's still a safety hazard they should try and get some orange 🍊 cone to put so customers will see that the floor is wet remember if someone falls down it's going to bed for the company. But otherwise from that my time was very enjoyable

The staff was very friendly and helpful and they were very professional in what they do i think I will come back next time

The floor I was on was quiet. I was barely disturbed. Most of the noise you heard was from other people entering their room and allowing the door to close on its own. The doors sound like a slam. But other than that it was very peaceful. I got some good sleep there.

The elevators were always wet from people using the pool. Never mopped, just dried up and you could smell the pool chemicals. The breakfasts weren't that great. It tasted like microwaved food. My car got scratched from someone in the parking lot. The parking is horrible, because everyone wants to park right by the door, but no one parked correctly, which is how my car got scratched because someone's door was too close.

Great location , amazing breakfast options “included with stay” and very clean pool . Also, The supervisor was extremely accommodating to our needs taking the time to straighten out what could have been an inconvenience to part of our group that almost had no room the 2nd night of our stay that was previously booked . She went above and beyond and even personally called myself to confirm we had our room and re checked all the other family’s in my booking to make sure everyone else was taken care of and had their rooms.

The only negative thing is our microwave sparked and could have flamed if we didn’t pay attention when it was turned on. Another family apart of our group had the same problem with their microwave . gratefully the hotel was very responsive and immediately replaced our faulty microwave and double checked the new one worked correctly. Also the bedding could have been softer . other then that no complaints

We came to the property exhausted and we’re quickly escorted to a room on the fifth floor after check in. When we got there we were overtaken by the smell of cigarettes and a cold shower with poor pressure. When we called the front desk to complain, they promptly moved us into a double suite with the full amenity and two rooms for us to operate out of. I am a business professional in need of rest with my family and some respite to a good room with hot water and a comfy bed was warranted.

The breakfast was plentiful but I would have loved real eggs and not the powdered ones. The croissants were lovely.

It was good. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and the food was filing.

Someone was smoking and I could smell it in our room. I informed the front desk, but whomever it was continued to smoke. I smelt it on more than one occasion. I had to keep getting my door key recoded and the maintenance person had to fix the lock because it was dead. Then thee was a guest who kept having phone conversations in the hallway and she was not using her inside voice.

Great Value. Great staff. Extra effort to provide breakfast by asking you to order the night before. Easy access to Interstate 95. Walmart is right across the street which can be useful. Plenty of free parking.

I found the beds to be a little on the hard side and the pillows overly thick, but that's just my own personal issue. This is a great place to stay overall and I would absolutely stay here again.

King size bed extremely comfortable. Bed Linen was clean. Room on 4th floor was quiet. Refrigerator & microwave in room a plus.

1 bathroom towel had excellent quality. The other towel was thin & rough feeling.

Good breakfast. Convenient location, right off highway. Walkable distance to 7-11, Dunkin’, mini grocers, Walmart. Staff are exceptionally supportive and helpful. Housekeeping is very good.

Not many food choices around the hotel at walkable distance. Toilets are bit old.

We liked that the hotel was easily accessed from I95 with choice of restaurants and convenience stores (Walmart across the street) nearby. We also appreciated the COVID mask guidelines for staff and patrons. Staff was always friendly and welcoming. Bed was very comfortable and there was quiet throughout the hotel during our stay.

The bathroom was outdated and the carpet area in the room and outside in the hallways lacked cleanliness. The filter from the AC in our room was hanging underneath. Pool area was also underwhelming and not heated as we were told. A heavy blanket for use when the room got cold from the AC was also not available.

All the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was good every morning. The pool was too small, so we could not swim with a bunch of kids in, but they had their fun. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay. I will definitely come back.
