We love the location of this hotel… right off the highway we use when we go to Maine for vacation. We eat at the Texas Roadhouse for dinner and also love the nearby convenience of having a Wal-Mart and gas station RIGHT THERE as well! The rooms are always clean and the beds are super cozy. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else! PS. They allow pets which is a MUST when we travel as a family.

The daily breakfast was such a nice touch which made it so convenient to start my day. Trust me when I say that I gave everything a good test and the food items provided were quite tasty. It wasn't a gourmet meal but it hit the right spot.
I can honestly say that I didn't have anything to complain about. The staff was so attentive that when I needed anything, they were at my beck and call. What a great team they have there!

Front desk service - first the other staff had to run around for 10 min to find Nydia so we could check in. Then, the next morning when we asked Nydia to have housekeeping empty our full garbage bins, she said we would have had to give 24 hours notice for any housekeeping service. This would have meant arranging for garbage removal prior to arrival. Odd. When we complained at the desk at check out, in the presence of Nydia, we were told we could have left the bin outside the door. Well, it would have been better if Nydia had suggested that. We didn't think they'd want smelly garbage left in the corridor, but there you go.

The room was clean and comfortable. Sometimes pet-friendly rooms are a bit worn, but not the West Haven. The breakfast was good, and was replenished several times throughout the morning, The grounds were clean, and on Christmas morning I noticed an employee picking up trash in the parking lot,
I was only there one night, but had no complaints.

Everything at the hotel was great, except being awakened at 1 AM in the morning because of the alarm system.
The only issue was being awaken at 1 in the morning because of the fire alarm system going off. We had to stay outside in the cold for about an hour with no compensation from the hotel. We should have been given some sort of compensation see that even breakfast was affected by this problem. Also, I forgot to mention that the pool was very cold. Not used to that at an indoor pool.

Once had to wait and wait and waiting for eggs one day just waiting and waiting ✋️ finally eggs showed up , otherwise breakfast good
