Villa Venezia

The location is absolutely perfect, whether you're looking for a short stay on a layover or a longer one to explore the area. It is close to the beach and at walking distance from downtown area. The room was very comfortable and had everything it was said it would have - from toiletries to complimentary water bottles, coffee, etc.. It also has a kitchenette which is very useful if you're looking to warm up some quick food or make yourself a cup of tea. The hotel has a swimming pool with a lovely view of a private marina, and it looks like a tropical paradise. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating to the specificity of my stay.

We had the very spacious two BR, 2 bath room "Santa Fe" super clean apartment with a full kitchen, dining area, living room with a wrap around balcony complete with two rockers and a table with four chairs with an eastern view from the second floor toward the pool and waterway. The staff was welcoming and informative.They provided pods for the dishwasher and Wolfgang Puck coffee for the coffeemaker. Great fridge and stove, all the dishwater and river ware you could need and an Oster blender for making smoothies. The pool was very nice, easy to get into and went from 3.5' up to 6' with ample chairs for sunning. I went swimming at about 5:30-6 PM when the pool was shaded from the sun. AC was easy to control. It was our splurge so we could visit with family and still have our privacy. There is only one tv in the living room, but it got a large array of cable and local tv stations. They had ample free parking included in the price. There was also a larger washer and dryer; ample towels and amenities. The property was smoke free and quiet. Located on the water there are many boats docked there and lovely landscaping. We paid more than our budget for the room--but as our big splurge it provided comfort and luxury for a lovely stay. There was a book with all necessary information about the complex and the area. Great wifi.

Of the two bathrooms, the master bath only had a tub with a hand-held shower system. I am mobility impaired so I did not feel comfortable climbing in and out of it so I used the 2nd bathroom. The shower there is pretty small and you really can't control the heat or level of shower spray int it. It was okay, but would have liked to have had more room to maneuver. There is no elevator--but there are many rooms on the ground floor for the disabled.

staff very friendly and approachable, extremely happy to help and assist with anything that is needed. fantastic room (Floridian one bedroom ground floor) lots of space and right by the pool, bed very soft, I prefer a firm mattress but that's just a personal preference tho. lots of towels and little touches, pool towels /coffee for machine/makeup face cloth/lots of cupboard space/dressing gowns/air conditioning loud but effective! great size fridge/lovely pool and outdoor areas are beautiful-a real oasis of calm within a marina of some fabulous looking yachts/ only 10-15 minute to some beautiful beaches and supermarkets not to far away to re stock! Las Olas has many restaurants to eat in which is also just down the road. would definitely recommend and return.

bathroom could do with an update although served its purpose, it was kept clean however.

What a beautiful hidden gem. On a residential street, on a canal. Very tranquil, yet very close to the beach and shops and restaurants at Los Olas Blvd. We stayed in the Island hotel room. The room was updated and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable with a king size bed, large walk in closet, a table with two chairs and a refrigerator. It was spotless! The girl at check in was just lovely - I'm sorry I forgot her name! We travel quite a bit. Sometimes you see beautiful photos only to be disappointed with the actual property. Villa Venezia lived up to the photos and then some. Highly recommend staying.

We saw the excellent reviews this place receives on Booking.com and wondered what made it so special. When we arrived we immediately found out. Villa Venezia is just wonderful. Even though we arrived at the hotel several hours too early (hoping just to leave our bags and go for a walk) we were offered another room to change and freshen up. We were also upgraded to a better room, and throughout our stay manager Andrea was on hand to help out. Nothing was an inconvenience to her. The accommodation itself is beautifully located in a quiet cul-de-sac halfway between, and a short walk to either the Los Olas main drag or Fort Lauderdale beach. The pool is sheltered by a beautiful tropical garden and backs out directly on the water, with small pleasure boats tied up. The ground floor apartment we stayed in was Italian in style and was just perfect! We had gone to Fort Lauderdale for a well-earned rest and we found a gorgeous little oasis of peace and quiet, just exactly what we needed for our stay. I can't thank Andrea enough. It is so nice to meet staff who possess a genuine liking and enthusiasm for their job. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. We would not consider staying anywhere else in Fort Lauderdale.

Nothing of note

Check in was really familiar, like coming home to an old friend. When we got the room, we were overwhelmed. Beautiful, clean, excellent in all aspects. We would say that Villa Venezia is not only worth a visit or worth the detour, it is worth the trip. From Europe. If you ever get the chance to stay there, do it! We are actually considering going back to Ft. Lauderdale from Stockholm, Sweden just because of the fantastic Villa Venezia.

Nothing could be done better - everything was just perfect.

The room was just the right size and had everything needed for a one night stay. The check-in process was smooth, as I arrived very late, but still felt welcomed. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Given the little time spent there, there was not much to not like. Would recommend for couple day stays. I would mention I stayed in one of the interior rooms, so the window view was not the best - very exposed to other hotel guests passing by, so shades had to stay down.

The location was exceptional, morning walks to the beach or to the shopping area. Some of the best places to eat are within a quick drive. It is on one of the Isles off of Las Olas blvd, in the middle of everything, but yet, secluded from the many people at the resorts. The general manager, Diego, was very welcoming and we loved the room we were given, the Floridian, which was a lovely larger one bedroom unit for sure. We could have been comfortable there for some time. Wonderful views of the pool and canal. Loved walking steps to jump in to the pool after a morning jog. Saltwater pool, not too hot. We were enjoying the place so much, that we cancelled plans to go out for dinner and brought something back so we could sit on our little porch and enjoy the view. There was a fully stocked kitchen if you care to cook. Nice bathroom. The a/c worked great, with towels drying overnight, which is quite rare in Florida. The property is well maintained and genuinely feels like old Florida. It is not over crowded and I would say it is quite a gem for a comfortable stay in Fort Lauderdale. It felt like home to me, likely because I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and so much felt familiar. We definitely plan to return.

Well, we hate for the word to get out on this lovely boutique style accommodations, but we really liked it and know others would as well, so not fair to not share. We had one small issue that needed to be fixed, and it was responded to immediately, and if you are on the ground floor, you may hear heavy walkers above you, but it certainly did not keep us awake nor bother us in anyway. Really not much to dislike.

The villa was conveniently located. Close to restaurants & the beach. Staff especially, Andrea was very helpful upon check in. She even gave me a gift when she found out it's my birthday. What I liked the most was the other hotel guest was quiet, but friendly.

There was construction going on during the day on the street & canal so that was always in the background. However, the Villa had no control over this. At night it was quiet.
