Best Western Oceanfront

Wonderful hot breakfast. Great, location for the price, beach right behind the hotel. Bars and delicious restaurants are all within walking distance of the hotel. Friendly, accommodating staff. They make a point to greet you. I appreciate that kind of thing.

Don't expect a pool you would otherwise get at neighboring (more expensive) hotels. It's very small and adjacent to the main road with a iron wrought fence between you and a sidewalk. It should probably just be paved over. On weekends and during the summer this is an EXTREMELY noisy location, but that's reflective in the price and not the hotels problem. You will hear motorcycles until the wee hours in the morning so bring your ear plugs if you plan on sleeping. Best value in Jax Beach for an oceanfront hotel. Location is a party hotspot comparable to Bourbon Street (IMO) at certain times of the year. If you want a Plaza Hotel experience you probably need to open your wallet a little more and stay somewhere else.

The free breakfast was pretty decent , we also enjoyed the easy beach access. The room along with the rest of the hotel was very clean. Ice machine and vending machine were easily accessible on the second floor. The staff were helpful.

The parking was kind of iffy and you have to pay separate for parking besides what you paid for your room. Parking spots are tight and only two spots for electric cars which people in gas cars also parked in.

My room was excellent and perfect location for my trip. I had stayed in this hotel before years ago before it was renovated and I do like the improvements.

I didn't like that they started charging to park daily in their parking area. I had not stayed here in a few years and they didn't used to charge for parking. I understand the space is pretty limited and so the parking is pretty tight, the spaces are small but that is too be expected and not much you can do about it.... Just didn't think you should charge for it. But I suppose that you would just add it to the cost of the room and not tell anyone.

Excellent location- we could walk to the beach as the hotel is right next to it. We had a room with the balcony and loved the beautiful views of the ocean. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. The hotel had plenty of covered parking.

There was a weird smell in the lobby.

Everything went well. The breakast starts at 7 and ends at 10 which is great and was not to bad. I wish the offered the potatoes though. However overall good. My room was all I needed. the view of the beach and the pier was right on time. I was shocked but very pleased. The location was everything. If you wanted to shoot some pool and have some drinks just turn the corner and boom it's right there. Places to eat were all around and right near the hotel. Even the shops were right there. It's a small space I guess bc the pool could have been bigger. Other than the size of the pool this place was on point!!!

The location was fantastic...The staff was so friendly...sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean was great...the rooms were clean and well decorated...the balcony furniture was comfortable...clean and cute..the beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows...

Paying for parking...I knew it and agreed to it but the price I paid for that room should have come with parking included...at least for 1 car.. The description of the room needs to specify that there is only a mini fridge...I saw fridge and thought we had a regular sized fridge... Do those orange things that drape the beds get washed and changed each visit.. you do know what people do in hotel rooms right... The HVAC unit is very loud but feels great whether it's on hot or cold...

This hotel is in a lovely position. We had a room with balcony overlooking the beach. I just feel it was a little overpriced for a Best Western hotel. I know it was because of the position but it is quite a small hotel and I feel doesn't really warrant the high price I paid but I would stay there again, and hopefully find it at a cheaper rate!!

Our room leaked during a storm and the carpet was soaking so had a little damp smell for a little while, so I think a little general maintenance is needed to bring it up to the price they charge.

My sister and I had never been to the Atlantic coast. This hotel was literally a 4 min walk away. The Jax beach is clean and beautiful! Wonderful breakfast at this hotel. Lots of choices. Hot, fresh, fast, healthy or not. Coffee and juices. Comfortable beds. Clean area and bathroom.The room did seem a little humid stale smelling. Few shops for tourist items around the corner. Would stay here again.

The room seemed to have a humid stale smell. The AC worked well enough to keep us cool.

Property is in a very convenient spot. it’s only a short walk to the beach, gift shops, and restaurants. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, very clean, and a huge bathroom.

The only “dislike” we had was the window to our room looked straight at a brick wall of the neighboring building and the TV was a little small. The property itself is great! No major complaints at all!

Great location for easy access to the beach. Public restrooms and showers are also right there on the promenade. The rooms were extra clean. Even though we were right next to the elevator, the room was extremely quiet. The pool is on the small side, but we didn't go in. Our 5 and 7 year old boys liked this hotel too.

Pool could have been bigger, but there is the ocean just steps away. The room uses a small AC unit, which isn't quite up to the task. We turned it off completely and were perfectly fine during our mid-April stay.
