Hampton Inn Oceanfront Jacksonville Beach

The view was amazing to wake up to each morning. The pool is so fun and hot tub inviting. We loved the breakfast and like that the options were switched up a little each morning. We are night time decaf coffee drinkers so the fact that there is always fresh coffee in the lobby both regular and decaf and hot water for teas and cocoa was a big plus!

It was tough at night to get comfortable due to the unique thermostat. The thermostat allows you to set a desired temperature and it will fluctuate running to achieve it. However it didn't work as intended. We set to 72 and would be getting cold so we would go to 74, well it would get to a point where we were hot needing it to come on and it wouldn't, even saying its getting to 75 in the room. Well we'd go to 73 or 72 to kick it back on and guess what? We'd get cold again after so long of it running and not kicking off. Needless to say it keep us up at night changing it often to try to find the happy medium that never occurred.

Breakfast was hot and delicious every morning. Coffee was great too. Pool was awesome and beach access was very convenient. Front desk staff (Ms. Kathy, and the guy in the mornings) were expectational and very friendly. Deliha (sp?) the room cleaner was very accommodating also. I always enjoyed the dog friendly side of the hotel. So many cute dogs.

That they charge $15.00/day for parking. Young guy who checked me in said I would be back for the parking pass. NO I did not. I found street parking everyday for 5 days. Parking was not charged in previous years stays. Also didn't care for the lady who work the late night early morning shift for front desk. She was not friendly or approachable. She had an attitude.

Loved the pool, clean, well maintained, kids loved the basketball net in the pool, the waterfalls were perfect . Plenty of loungers and clean towels. Staff did a great job of keeping tables clean. The bar had a great location on the beach.

The property was a little tired, although clean , things like caulking around bath tub were pretty mildewed, wall surfaces needed a fresh coat of paint and drapes needed to be replaced. Breakfasts were fine, staff kept the serving area very clean. The parking was not free but after a chat with the front desk staff they waived the charges.

The breakfast the tiki hut staff and the crew that cleaned the rooms were excellent.

We paid $391 plus tax,per night, for an oceanfront room. Upon arrival, we were told that oceanfront was not guaranteed. We were given a room facing the parking lot. No oceanfront view. My child was very disappointed. The hotel was not fully booked. After complaining, we were told, although oceanfront at $391 per night was selected, it was not guaranteed, my family was disappointed. I even had a picture of the room I selected when I booked. After complaining and a three hour wait we were given the room we paid for. After that our stay was excellent. Not sure how meticulously selecting and paying for a specific view, I was told that was not guaranteed but still expected to pay for oceanfront. I am happy they resolved it.

I personally Iike the pool and I actually look forward for breakfast. 😋 There are varieties to choose from. The staffs are friendly and always greets us. I love that it's right by the beach and I enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning. Parking is free and convenient and enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate. 🙂

As I thought there is house keeping everyday, I was hoping that our room get cleaned everyday. We stayed 7 nights and housekeeping came only twice and they just gave us a fresh towels and tidy up the bed. We throw the garbage ourselves. There's also no enough toiletries for 3 people in our room. For $280 that I paid for a room per night, I wish housekeeping should have come everyday without us requesting for it. Unless we put the sign (Do not disturb) on the door.

The location was great. There was parking on site but it filled fast so I did park in the lot across the street most times. The pool area was great, hot tub was lovely. The hotel is right on the beach so you can't beat that! My room had a balcony with a beautiful view. The food at the outside bar was great- breakfast was typical hotel fare like waffles and eggs, etc and was also good. There were a lot of families staying there so it is more family friendly than some on Jax Beach. I was traveling alone this visit - to see my son and really enjoy the area- plenty to do and see.

I have stayed in many hotels over the years- the bed is important to me and the beds here could be more comfy. Not the worst but a little hard in my opinion. A comfier mattress or even a topper would have been great- and more pillows. This is a personal preference issue and did not really affect my stay but would have been the icing on the proverbial cake for me!

Beautiful ocean views, right on the beach, great breakfast choices, clean property, pretty entrance, the ambience of the property makes you feel like your on a nice getaway.

Having to carry my key to get in and out of the parking lot. Also having to have a bright yellow bracelet attached to myself to eat breakfast or swim in the pool, I understand why but wish it could be different. The waffle maker on the left needs the timer fixed wasn’t working. Used my smart watch for as the timer.

The pool and beach was awesome! It was great they let up use pool toys ( rafts, balls etc) always had plenty of beach towels at the front desk. Amazing breakfast that was included!! Tiki bar was fun and the food was good. Nice to have food available so you don’t have to run out. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Staff very nice and accommodating.

Very small issue.. no fan or ventilation in the bathroom which make the room a little humid. The air conditioner could of been a little stronger.

The staff kept the breakfast hot and fresh the entire time. We came down at 9ish one day and they were still bringing food out. Customer service was impeccable and most of the staff were really friendly

Wish the pool didn't have a closing time. I know it isn't very neighborhood friendly but hey, it's the beach! Also don't know what's up with hotels charging to park these days. For the amount we paid, parking should DEFINITELY BE FREE

I love the breakfast area could've been a lil bigger, but it was awesome, got a chance to talk and eat. But one thing staff in the kitchen wasn't so nice ,but I guess they was overwhelmed 😅 by us!!!!! So I think bigger area would help that out,but overall it was awesome!!!!

Staff at pool side could've been better, when staying at different places, a person don't know all rules, so staff at pool side could be a lil more helpful, I place a order at pool side willing to leave a tip but never got my food ,it was at the bar I didn't know 😉, but that's could've been solved if I knew
