Homewood Suites by Hilton Jacksonville-Downtown/Southbank

Breakfast was good. I would like to see alternating hot sausages or bacon instead of sausages 2 days in a row since the scrambled eggs changed to omelets one day. The omelets were seasoned so I avoided them. The kitchen staff was very friendly and the front desk staff was great. I found the room to be missing enough warm blankets and the tissue box was empty in the bathroom. The room was dated and the shower stall has some corrosive rust and needs updating. Lounge chairs in the lobby are soiled, as well as in the breakfast area and need replacement. The coffee lids did not fit the cups after the cups ran out and I asked them to be replaced. I burned myself. I spoke to the staff and they immediately corrected the situation and were kind, responsive and generous in every situation. The staff from top to bottom was superb and made the visit terrific, even as the facilities were lacking. The gym could use a second mirror by the exercise machines for weight lifting since a large machine blocks the single mirror. The rooms had ample electrical outlets for chargers and ample supplies for the kitchen.

We were upgraded from a queen suite to a two bedroom king suite. The extra space was exactly what we needed after three days on the road. we had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant and Jose (who seemed to be both the bartender & waiter) was outstanding. Our room was fantastic. clean & plenty of space for everyone.

There is a $15 per night parking fee, with that being said the parking is in a garage right near the hotel that has metal gates closing it off at night.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating! I arrived earlier then expected and they were able to help me get a room lickety split! I loved that there is a pool table available even though I didn't have time to play. We had a concert to go to so we were unable to attend the reception unfortunately.

The housekeeping woman was kind, efficient and thorough. William for breakfast was very helpful, friendly made it a great experience. One day he was working with Amber and the other with Lisa. Delicious breakfast! Great start to the day. Great staff! Jose at the bar was also very friendly, professional, made it a great experience. Pool area was big enough to accommodate multiple guests. Checked in Friday, checkout Sunday. No issues at either. Close to downtown.

I Reported the microwave not working to 2 front desk receptionist, both said someone would look at it. Microwave started working fine again on is own.

The hotel was nice and clean. The property conveniently located near TIAA Stadium. But the BEST part of it is definitely the kind and courteous staff!!! Moe (at the front desk) and Justice (the valet attendant) went way above and beyond the call of duty when they both helped me with to fix my flat tire! Moe lent me her own air pump and Justice left his post to pump the tire! Their kindhearted gesture warmed my heart and restored my faith in humanity. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!

Exiting the parking lot was a chore, in that, you needed your room key to exit even though you check out. The intercom person was not local and stated that I had to speak to people in lobby for a resolution. I use a cane for stability when walking and did not like I had to return to the lobby for assistance. Otherwise my stay was great.

it was a beautiful hotel! The staff was so nice and our room was amazing! we even got an upgrade which was so nice! We had an issue come up with our booking and the staff was SUPER helpful and got us the answers we needed so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

We did have a semi hard time getting things like towels and clothes but that could have more COVID related.

Amazing breakfast, sausage grits eggs etc, I was expecting bagels and cereal, great atmosphere, the pool is sooo nice, free parking with the hotel, very convenient,

The hotel, including the room, was warmer than I expected. We faced record breaking high temperatures, tho.

It was perfect!!! The staff was so friendly and made us feel at home everyday. The hotel was probably the best we have ever stayed at. Breakfast was really good. Our son loved the pool and hot tub. Our room was excellent!! So clean and homey. Our kids loved it. The bed was perfect. Just an over all great place to stay. Definitely will be back!
