Emerson Inn - Jacksonville

It was clean, comfortable and very close to a wonderful diner.

We had just gotten back from the cruise. We needed to take a train home to North carolina. Unfortunately our train did not leave until 11:00 at night. I ended up having to pay for two nights stay when I actually only stayed till about 8:00 pm the next day. I feel that it should have been prorated because check in is at 3:00 p.m. and I left 5 hours later but got charged for a whole night stay. I wasn't too happy about that. But I was between a rock and a hard place. I didn't have anywhere else I could go, so I had to pay another $100 to spend the night when I didn't even spend the night.

My son enjoyed the muffins that were provided in the mornings. They went above and beyond to assist me with a super late check in after driving all day from another state. The rooms you can tell are dated but have had updates. I would love to see the bathrooms upgraded some more or cleaned a little better (just typical mildew around the tub but I also understand about being short staffed during covid so not a complaint, just a thought). And the door frames seem to be frail. I had to push mine back in bc it was loose. My room was clean and enjoyable. I truly don't have any complaints and would stay here again. And the TV was great. They had Disney Jr so my kid stayed entertained!

I did not have breakfast. The attendant did not tell me where the breakfast area was located or what time breakfast was beginning and ending the next morning.

Carpet needs steam cleaned in room 208. After walking barefoot I noticed the bottom of my feet were dirty from the carpet. Housekeeping should not wake the customer for room service until at least 10am. Nor should they enter the room when it's an overnight stay. I had to literally yell at housekeeping to not enter while I was naked and getting ready for the day.

Check in was very easy and there is ample parking. The room was spacious, very clean, and included a fridge and microwave. The area was very quiet. There were plenty of TV stations and an easily accessed wifi. Housekeeping was there everyday and breakfast was available. All the vending machines were full and operating. Staff members were wonderful. This is the second time we have stayed here during a craft fair and we plan to return next year. Thank you for a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

The room that I had reserved for almost a week wasnt available. The woman at the front desk seemed a little agitated at the fact that I was asking how is it that I have a king room reserved for days but she trying to put me in a double queen. Said she dosent have anything to do with what was on the website and could only give me what was available. Wow

Spacious room. Fridge and microwave. A little dining table. Accent chair. Good water pressure. Hot water

Front desk knocking on my door early in the morning to see if I needed anything. Yes, sleep!! Why are you knocking on doors. Lunch time a female staff person decided to peek into my window - forehead on glass, hands cropping her face so she can see. I stood up and she jumped and walked away. WHY??

it is an average motel near a big road from the outside but we appreciated the inside. The room was spacious, quiet and nice for a one night stay. It is easy to come and go by car. One need to remember to check whether they booked a smoking or non smoking room. However, we had the opportunity to change without any problem.

The breakfast could be more simple but healthier. The light in the bathroom could be stronger.

Joshua, at the front desk was friendly, polite and helpful. Room was Extremely clean, comfortable beds with maid service every day ! Good location and plenty of parking available. A/C worked well. Priced very well. Definitely will stay here again!

No lights about the sink, shampoo holders and other products above bathtub kept falling off and the conditioner was empty. No bar soap. Breakfast was skimpy.

The hotel room had a modern feel to it, the key cards are super easy scan and go, convenient location, and pretty clean

continental breakfast, I didn’t plan to eat out for all 3 meals but I couldn’t eat the same microwave breakfast bagel thing all 4 days I was there. I feel like the parking lot was kinda chaotic, alot of times I had to park further away from my hotel room which was hard being a single mom with a baby.
