Homewood Suites Jacksonville Deerwood Park

Pretty much everything! This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed in Homewood Suites in 2 different cities, and now it has become my #1 hotel!

There was cigarette smoke smell coming through the bathroom vent when I checked into my room as well as my 3 nights there, and the pillows were too soft. I wasn’t informed if I had a choice to pick firmer-types pillows.

Great location. Shopping center across street with a Publix:-)

Just the staff forgetting to clean. At check in was told that they only cleaned every 5 days, which was fine as long as we could get clean sheets and towels when I was released from hospital after surgery. That was day 7, but had already extended another two nights. Had to chase down cleaning staff to get sheets and towels. So stayed 10 nights without having room cleaned.

Breakfast variety was great. Wed social was great. Pool area was clean and everything worked. Workout room had plenty of equipment and everything worked. Business computer section was nice. No pressure on room cleaning, I could ask for it when I wanted it.

Public wifi was difficult to hook up to internet.

It was clean. I loved the shampoo, conditioner, and loción big bottles. Great idea. The sofa bed was comfortable. The kitchen is large and clean.

I stayed at a homewood suites in Sarasota, and the breakfast was much better. Here, it was a little limited.

Everything else was great. The hotel desk clerk did All she could do to accommodate my family & I

The Hotel was out of rooms when we arrived at 6pm and the hotel desk clerk said there was no reservation on file for our stay. She found us a room Thank God but charged me $50 extra. She said Booking.com did NOT communicate our reservation with the Hotel. So check in lasted an hour plus extra fees.

Great clean room with everything. Monday and Tuesday breakfast hot bar was good. Eggs, bacon, biscuits, and better hashbrowns. Cold bar same (needs help). Friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast bar on Saturday/Sunday morning. Only 1 type cereal, yogurt, and milk; no variety for kids. Only 1 type of premade breakfast sandwich and wet hashbrowns for warm meal. Did have oatmeal.

Food was ok. We really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Had a nice little gym. Didn’t care for the coffee lol

Pool was next to the parking lot. It wasn’t a terrible location but sometimes seemed a little sketchy. We had a couple issues with our key card not working

clean, near a lot of shops, stores, restaurants.

pool closes at 7pm, no housekeeping each day. some of the staff was not friendly. sketchy activity in the parking lot.

The location is excellent, and the staff is friendly and very attentive.

I thought that it was odd that they stopped serving breakfast at 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday. Also, the toilet seat did not match the length of the toilet bowl. I am a Hilton Honors member, and that's definitely not what I expect from a Hilton property.

The room was clean

The front desk lady at night was rude not only to me but to the customer before me and she didn’t give me the room that I purchased online. So when I went back to exchange the room she caught an attitude with me because I was upset about the room that she gave me. She has a bad attitude and she doesn’t talk very nicely or at least have some types of professionalism about herself.
