Pestana South Beach Hotel

I stayed at the Pestana hotel with a friend of mine for 5 days. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the room and a coffee maker. The toiletries included shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion which was great as these are hard to get through TSA at the airport and buying the travel size is just pricy. Also toothpaste is provided for free but you need ask the front desk. There’s a hair dryer as well. The AC worked fine but it could get kind of cold when it’s set at 24C, and 25C was too hot. The location is great very close to the beach and to the main streets where shops and restaurants are. The pool seemed nice but it seemed as though no other guests really used it, so it was kind of quiet and private.

We were tea drinkers and there was nothing in the room to boil the water with although there were tea bags in the room, we had to ask for a an electric kettle which was given to us. Also there was only one chair in the room whereas it was a two bedroom room for two people, we stayed in for breakfast so one of us had to sit on the bed to eat. And the wifi was really weak in our room but it was ok every where else in the hotel as far as we tried

The staff was very nice and welcoming. They offered us a late checkout without even asking and allowed us to stay at the pool even after checkout. I felt safe at the hotel and didn’t have any problems with the accommodations.

Location was good, building was clean, staff was amazing! Shower pressure was great and water gets extremely hot

My room wasn't as pictured but still comfortable. Breakfast was an apple or orange from a basket and coffee. Room service was available for food but not the Cafe. Poolside bar closed at 8pm

I’m a little late writing this review, I stayed June 20th-25th. This is my second stay at Pestana South Beach because I enjoyed the first time so much. The staff are excellent, special shout out to Danel, and the staff at reception including Mihala, Rachel, and Valery. I forget the name of the lady who worked at the bar during this time but she was lovely as well! Location is amazing and you get a beach voucher to a section on the beach with chairs and umbrellas. The service there was amazing as well, great partnership! Housekeeping was great as well.

My one experience with a nighttime receptionist who was a male wasn’t too great. But overall, great experience.

One of the most friendly and helpful staff even if English is not their first language. The pool was nice with good lounge chairs and never crowded. The complimentary flavoured water and sunscreen by the pool is always a great bonus! The room itself was clean with a modern bathroom even though it was really small. The private beach with two chairs and umbrella was perfect and only a 5min walk. The Resort fee was worth it here.

The room and bathroom were small but that looks to be normal for South Beach hotels, but it was still comfortable. The TV in the room only has cable which is passable, but the curtains in the room were really dirty and should be cleaned.

Art Deco hotel South Beach style. Very polite and helpful personel. The hotel provided beach towels and a set of 2 sunbeds and one umbrella at the beach 3 minutes walk from the hotel every day without extra charge. Coffee, tea and sweet snacks were offered almost all day long at the reception area. The location is very near to the beach and to nice restaurants and bars. 20 minutes walk to Ocean Drive.

No elevator in building 2. No balcony in our room, no way to open window, so drying wet swimwear was difficult. There was some sand at the botom of the pool.

From -start to finish, my experience was outstanding. The staff are the absolute nicest of any hotel that I've ever stayed. Valerie, Daniel, Alejo, and Michaela were all so friendly and accommodating, always greeting me with a pleasant smile and conversation. The hotel itself is superb! It's so elegant and chic, above-all, quiet and chill. Just one block over from the bustle of Collins Ave. this boutique hotel is everything I wanted for my stay. The room itself was wonderful; I was lucky enough to get a room with a balcony overlooking the pool, which was gorgeous The bed was so comfortable; I slept so well each night, the shower was awesome and housekeeping was great. It absolutely exceeded my expectations - would definitely stay here again!

I liked Pestana South beach hotel very much during my short stay in Miami Beach. The staff was polite, helpful and friendly. The hotel is very close to the beach, shopping area and in walking distance from spectacular Ocean drive. Yet, Pestana is in a quite street, so you will have a good night sleep in a comfortable clean cozy room.

I liked almost everything. Just personally for me the bed was probably a little too soft, as I like firmer mattresses, but that was not a problem. I also wished that breakfast were included as supplementary and not offered for an extra fee. Parking (valet parking) of 40$ per day was a bit pricey (but it was convenient too).

Having to walk 10 minutes to a restaurant for breakfast is unacceptable for a 4 * hotel especially when it is raining. Also once there you have to choose between orange juice or coffee you cannot have both I have never seen this anywhere in the world! Then in the same vein you can have fruit,yoghurt, porridge / oatmeal or a hot meal like eggs / pancakes. Again in 'normal' hotels you would be able to have both. For example your breakfast could be a glass of orange juice and a small bowl of fruit and that's it!! You are not allowed anything else.

Good location and amenities as towels and beach voucher (chairs and umbrella) and others. Amazing staff that was always avaliable and ready to help! Good locations, less than 5 minutes from the beach but far enough to get away from the action on the city.

We could ear too well the noise from upstairs specially in check-in and check-out times. That was reasonable, outside from that no problems with noise. Since it is an infrastructure problem there is a limit in what could be done and did not ruined our stay.
