Malibu Resort Motel

Considering that it is a Motel, it had everything you need, including some Amenities, free Coffee in the Morning, a comfortable bed & the rooms were very clean. It’s super close to the beach + parking is free and available. John, the Manager really does a great job! Always available, super friendly. We arrived late at night and he even offered towel changing service in the morning - even though we just stayed one night. You could tell he really cares about his motel & guests.

air conditioning is very loud - which you just need to keep running in summer month - but earplugs help & we still had a good night rest.

This is a bare bones kind of place. No spa or restraunt for room service etc. It offers an Excellent value. Big rooms, frig and microwave. Great pool and area to sit if you chose. Across the street from the gulf. Parking on site. There is a pizza place but not part of the hotel. You can walk up or down the street and find breakfast and or dinner. Coffee by 0730 each morning in the onsite managers office. Excellent service from John. Can tell he enjoys where he lives and wants his guests to enjoy all the area has to offer as well. Beach chairs available for the guests. Pool area has towels and screen block available for guest to use. There are comfortable chairs outside each room to allow guests to sit and read a book, enjoy the fresh air, etc.....without having to venture very far.

The place has been around awhile so like any other older place needs a little loving care. Older window air conditioners so a bit noisy. Windows do not open so can't really keep the room comfortable without using the AC at least part of the time. Being an older smaller resort is also a good thing. The folks that stay here are quieter easy going older folks or young families. Not an upscale environment so does not draw the same kind of crowd and we like that.

The whole thing until the heater went out in the pool, the whole reason I booked this hotel was for the heated pool it was out for 3 days of my vacation so for that reason I won't book here again other than that I give a great rating

Soft Beds. Quiet, accommodating atmosphere. Beautifully landscaped tropical pool area. Directly across from perfect beach access. The Restaurant on site is absolutely one of the best on the boulevard. Gracious hospitality.

Not a lot of stores in the immediate area, but a welcome trade for the peace and quiet.

The pool was absolutely beautiful and the location was amazing! The room size was very good.

Rooms were clean but could have been just a bit cleaner.

the pool, how close it was to the beach, the price was fair, and the breakfast place nearby was awesome.

the hot water is very temperamental in the shower. had to turn the cold all the way up and then barely turn on the hot and hope it didn’t change to hotter in 5 mins.

Clean rooms and pool area was great. The manager John was nice and pizza place had good food.

Guest had to call cops on couple that as fighting. The manager John got mad at her calling the cops. Said to us that they stay there a lot and always fight. This went on for 2/3 hours around the pool area. Wasn't a relaxing time. 😠

There was plenty of space, a separate kitchen, a bedroom, and a living area. All of this was right next to the pool. The room is clean, and though it is not brand new, it is very charming. I felt very safe and comfortable.

John the manager went above and beyond what I expected! Anything I asked for he was able to provide.

Not being able to sit outside my room to smoke. There were wonderful chairs and A table right outside my door yet I had to walk up and down a flight of stairs to grab a smoke. While I understand not smoking in a room (I don’t smoke in my own home), I couldn’t understand not smoking right outside my room.

The location was AMAZING! Right across the street from the beach but offered its own little oasis feel! The only thing better than the location was the amazing staff! You could tell everyone cared about maintaining such a nice property and making everyone feel welcome! The pool was heated which made for an awesome option when you were oceaned out. Comfy beds, clean rooms and delicious coffee! I would go out of my way just to stay here again! Can’t wait to come back! ❤️
