Sandalwood Beach Resort

The staff and the property was absolutely amazing we had a blast I took my wife for her 37th birthday for the weekend and she really enjoyed herself and so did I it is in a great location right on the beach also there's a lot of restaurants and shopping plazas and bars right there where you can walk so it was awesome

We stayed in room 122 beachfront was amazing but there is mold on the roof by the vent by the bed I didn't like that part at all I forgot to mention it at checkout but I'm glad you guys messaged me for a review so you need to take care of that mold and get that took care of because that is not healthy for anyone to be 🫁 breathing

It was a comfortable, clean place. Front desk people were nice. Room was nice. Access to beach was fantastic.

No hot tub or no breakfast/ coffee. Coffee makers in room as all have usually. Pool could of been a tad warmer.

The unit was very big. The pics they advertise don’t give it justice on the size. We had a balcony, so we had a perfect view of the ocean. The pool was big. I would definitely stay here again.

You don’t have housekeeping unless you request it. They staff isn’t that friendly. Check in is 4pm sharp. They would not let us in even a little early. For new towels you have to set them outside by 8:30am. It took over 24 hours the first day for them to replace them. After the first day they did replace them when we set them out. The fridge is rusted and small. Made noise. No water pressure in the shower. The balcony was scary. Definitely shaking. The whole place needs a update for sure. The pull out couch, the mattress is very thin and super uncomfortable. We brought a air mattress just in case and thank god we did. The main mattress wasn’t that comfortable and the tv volume was ridiculous to turn up. But for all the stuff that we didn’t like we would stay again.

The location was everything. And absolutely cannot beat the price point for how close you are to the gulf. Staff was fantastic. Property overall was in decent shape.

The bathroom. In dire need of renovation. The shower was one of those one piece fiberglass/plastic inserts and it had a large crack in it. While there didn't appear to be any mold, the caulking was yellowed and looked horrendous. The surface of the tile countertop was flaking off. It was embarrassing to have friends who lived nearby visit. The sofa bed was also on its last legs. When out as a bed, springs were broken in areas. All in all, I wasn't expecting luxurious accommodations given the price point given the amazing location but bathroom was borderline unacceptable.

The staff was so friendly and helpful! Really nice group of people. Always smiling.

The reviews about bright lights shining in bedroom at night is 100% true. They’re like flood lights & it is bright like the sun during day time. I mentioned it to the staff and they did say blackout window items are being ordered. Also not very sound proof; however once the pool area closes down at 9 it was pretty quiet. Not a big deal in my opinion. I wasn’t able to check into my room until 6:30PM (check in was supposed to be 4). But again, I didn’t mind because the hotel let me park earlier in the day (no charge) & we were hanging out on the beach. The front desk texted me when my room was ready. That was so helpful & nice.

I FELT AT HOME ... I WILL BE BACK !!! - Hotel standing on the sand, on the beach, almost in the water. The beach is wonderful , warm water , wide sand , calm and transparent water . IDEAL place for families and especially for CHILDREN. I'll repeat: BEST beach for KIDS. Super calm water. You won't regret going to this place: REDINGTON BEACH. It is close to Clearwater Beach but with a better environment , cleaner , safer , calmer , less hustle and bustle . - The pool is wonderful, clean, good environment and with water at the right temperature. - The service, staff, reception are extremely polite, friendly and attentive. - Large room, with 2 rooms, equipped with sink, cabinets, coffee maker, fridge, sofas, tables with chairs, chests of drawers to store clothes and other utensils. - Bed and sofa bed are excellent (very good mattress). - Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the hotel in general is good. The hotel is on the beach, on the sand and so don't go looking for a city hotel, this one, this is a beach hotel, so the beach sand will be part of your daily life throughout the hotel area. - Room cleaning: Upon arrival, cleaning is good. No cleaning is done during the stay. I stayed 9 days at the hotel and there was no cleaning done , but in my case I LIKED IT A LOT for a hotel in the SAND , and with a swimming pool , you come and go all the time in the wet room with sand . In my reality: 3 adults, 2 children was better for us to maintain the privacy of the room and manage the cleaning. The hotel provides garbage bags and cleaning materials at all times . The hotel provides plenty of bath towels and pool and beach towels . - Check in and Check out super comfortable , light , simple , friendly ... This for me is EXCELLENT . - REPEAT: all staff are super friendly. - LOCATION : Spectacular !!! Close to everything ... At Redington Beach , along with Madera Beach , Treasure Island Beach , Belair Beach and Clearwater Beach ........

- The bedroom bathroom is a little small, for larger families it is a little difficult.

The room was larger than usual with a nice large deck, overlooking the water with a wonderful view. The pool was great!

Manager & most of the staff were not very friendly except for Juan, who was great! He was very professional & seemed to go out of his way to help. Too bad the rest of the staff wasn't as nice! Our room was on the 2nd floor & it needed a lot of updating, especially the bathroom & shower which was very small & pretty gross, needing much updating! Glass sliding door blinds to balacony, were broken & couldn't even close! Pictures on line showed a beautiful bathroom & that's definitely NOT what we got! 😢

The views - gulf front, and pool were nice! It is very close to the water...we loved that and will come back for that reason. We liked the outside area, plenty of seats and restrooms.. The 3 room efficiency was very roomy, lots of space. It had some nice updates, but you could tell other guests have been rough on furniture. The front desk people were very nice.

The balcony is wooden and had a loose side beam. My husband assured me it wasn't structural. Several of the boards were soft and rotted on the deck. I know that the FL weather is so hard on wooden decks, but they need fixed. I was surprised that the kitchenette didn't have anything but a coffee maker and microwave. There was a large sink, even cabinets, (several, in fact), but nothing in them. I live 20 min away, so I went home and got an electric skillet and utensils to cook breakfast with. It could have at least had a toaster and a few kitchen utensils. We enjoy eating breakfast in, next time we will come prepared.

The front desk guy was exceptional. My friend and I wanted to brighten his day and got him a candy bar wrapped into a million-dollar wrapper. We gave it to him to say "THANKS A MILLION" for taking care of us. Great stay, on the beach with restaurants everywhere. BIG pool and a relaxing lounge type breezeway room with a view of the ocean. Very nice. Will go back someday. I definitely recommend Mango's next door and Sweet Sage Cafe----both within walking distance. Surf shop across the street.

The light outside the bedroom window---it's like daytime at night. NO NO!!!
