It was nice and well maintained

I thought it was beach front and didn’t realize you couldn’t walk out on the beach when the tide was high. ☹️. The villa was covered in flying ants!

Proximity to the beach, Beautiful tree canopy with such a variety of birds, sounds of ocean at night, very comfortable condo. Freshly painted and very clean. Loved the balcony and having our own kitchen. Nicely furnished we were very pleased and very comfortable. Very pretty swimming pool area underneath the oak trees. Such a peaceful space. It definitely felt like home away from home. Highly recommend.

Due to COVID, The on-site restaurant Driftwood bistro had limited capacity and there was usually a very long wait to dine. The bar was not open which was very disappointing. The food was absolutely delicious however.

I liked the friendly staff. extremely helpful. I appreciated Mrs. Crystal Douzart (front desk Manager) 😊. Mrs. Crystal was extremely helpful in helping me get a room with an ocean view. I will stay here again, was a beautiful memory that I will always cherish. Thank you, (Villas BY THE Sea) employees for all your hard work and all that you do!

I didn't like that I booked my stay through Booking .com instead of booking straight with Villas BY THE Sea. i could have saved 300. hundred dollars booking my stay directly with Villas by the Sea. I tried several times to get a in contact with booking, com to see about upgrade my room so that I could have an ocean view with no response. had to upgrade through the facility. which cost me a great deal more than what it should have cost.

The location was great. At low tide, walking to Driftwood Beach is more than doable. Even at high tide, you can easily walk along the sidewalks on the property to the trailhead to get there. There was plenty of room in the condo. Has all the basics you would need, except a blender but we knew that ahead of time and brought one! Didn't actually use the TVs, but each room has one. Broom available to sweep up sand that gets tracked in. Lots of birds and rabbits chillin in the back yard. We didn't spend overly much time inside as there's just so much to do outdoors in Jekyll!

There is currently only ONE beach access stairway. The other two need to be fixed in order to be able to get over the anti-erosion rocks, down to the beach. These rocks are vital to the shoreline and keeping down erosion, so the other two beach access points need to get fixed. There is only one bathroom. It can be difficult to have 4-6 people in a condo and only one toilet. Especially when that one toilet gets clogged, and you have to call maintenance to deliver a plunger. Since "Covid-related restrictions" keep housekeeping away you're whole stay, it might be good to go ahead and leave a plunger in each of the condos. Also our back patio chair was the only cruddy plastic one. All the other condos had nicer, whicker ones.

The staff were incredibly nice and super helpful. We got a flat tire while staying there and the maintenance men helped us repair the tire and refill it at no additional cost. They also helped when I got a tick from falling on a hike and directed us to the local fire station. The view from our hotel was gorgeous. It was a very short walk to the beach. The hotel itself was gorgeous and very home like. For the price I was genuinely shocked by how pleasant the entire stay was.

The bathroom was kinda small, but not too cramped. The bed was a little too soft for my back, but with a few extra pillows for support was comfortable.

I really enjoyed the Driftwood Bistro restaurant. Nice low-key environment, very good service, excellent home cooked style food.

Everything was nice but I was a little disappointed with the beach view. We got a beachfront view villa, but it set way back from the beach, there were large rocks/jetties that separates the ocean from the land, and then all the palmettos and other trees between the building and the water made it difficult to see much of the ocean. The facility itself was very nice, excellent service, and very clean but the beach front view wasn't quite what I had in mind. We still had a very nice stay though and are satisfied with our trip.

We stayed in a Villa, so we bought groceries for breakfast and lunch and only ate dinners out. The on site restaurant is excellent for dinner and has very reasonable prices, but it is closed on Sun. & Mon. We stayed there specifically because I wanted to be able to walk along the shore to Driftwood Beach. Which we did. The sunrises were spectacular, but you can only walk on the beach immediately in front of their property during low tide because the surf comes right up to the rock barrier at high tide.

A nearby villa was being renovated and the workmen's noise was at times disturbing. We were lucky this time, but, as far as i can tell, it's not possible to select a building location. The yappy little dog in the villa next door.

Love the location and the facility it was a good stay

1- The reception crew was not helpful, and l'm suggested more training they're not friendly... Good customer service is a must. 2-The room was full of spider webs on every corner, and the ceiling included lampshade. The bathroom sink was draining very slowly with an unpleasant smell.. Tell your employees to put their phones down and help customers. I'll definitely stay there again.. Thank you

The room was very efficient. It was very clean. Plenty of towels and wash clothes. Location was great. The restaurant here is absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back. Love the pool area. Our toilet got clogged and the maintenance man had it taken care of immediately never had any other problem with it.

I mean there's really nothing I didn't like. Maybe come down on the price of the rooms a little. I think the rates maybe a little better if you book directly. But I love this place. Wanted to stay longer.

When we checked in, the young lady working that evening was very nice. She had our key & info ready. She provided additional info to questions I asked. We went to our room and I was super pleased with the location. We had an amazing view out of our villa sliding doors & window. The villa had all of the accommodations needed. Extra blanket, pillow... the kitchen was fully stocked to cook. There were plates, knives, pots, pans, plates and cups etc. We did not have housekeeping, by choice. However, we called to get a few bars of soap and tp.. housekeeping was super nice and brought the items to our room. There are ice machines and a laundry room on the premises. Several boardwalks/stairs out to the beach. The environment and whole vibe was excellent at the Villas. People were very nice. We left items on our patio and never worried about anything being disturbed. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the Villas. We look forward to vacationing here again next year.
