Hilton Orrington/Evanston

The Farmhouse is a great restaurant, but it's not always open. This is very close to the NU campus, which makes it very convenient. The gym is good.

This hotel is a little dreary. Not that clean. I've stayed here multiple times and one of the elevators is always busted. Snacks at the front desk are terrible. Expensive for what it is

This Historic Hotel that I have appreciated for 35 years is back on its game. It stalled out during Covid but glad to see that they are back to hard work, done with excuses, and stopped over-managing guests with signs everywhere and stickers all over the floor. Great location and I enjoyed this stay! Congrats to whomever righted this ship.

I hope Hilton Orrington and local businesses will keep pressure on Evanston government to keep the streets safe and welcoming. Evanston has become a safe place for marijuana users and skateboard profanity while forgetting that community, business and institutions like Northwestern drive its well being.

The staff was outstanding--Very attentive and helpful in obtaining transportation, restaurants and obtaining extra room supplies! As an historic hotel, the room had all the necessary upgrades to charge phones and laptops.

the breakfast was convenient.My chocolate lovers enjoyed free access to the candy; but they were responsible and not candy gluttons.

This is an older Hilton, so less luxurious than some. But the staff were friendly and efficient, the beds were amazingly comfortable, and in the end that's what matters. The fitness room is small but you can get a workout done, and several guests did, on Sunday morning. So I really liked most of it.

Other than the parking situation, this was really nice! The staff was very friendly, the hotel was spotless and modern, and the room was huge and gorgeous. Absolutely loved my stay there.

They should mention that there is 0 overnight street parking in the area so you have to pay for a valet or go to a parking garage a block or two away. It's still a nice neighborhood so I didn't mind the walk from the garage, but it would have been nice to know they have no type of parking lot or street accommodations (without paying).

We had breakfast outside the hotel. The rooms and the beds were extremely comfortable. The shower had great pressure. My daughter has medication that has to be refrigerated and she asked the front desk if the could put the ice blocks she uses in her travel bag. They couldn't have been nicer.

Nothing comes to mind. I was very happy with everything.

The location, for us, couldn’t have been better. Parking was easy. Lots of restaurants nearby in a very walkable area. Housekeeping and front desk staff were lovely. Public spaces were great. Our room was showing its age-some peeling paint, a little mildew smell. We borrowed a can of Lysol three times from housekeeping to spray the A/C unit-which cooled beautifully, by the way. We would stay here again-great price, great location.

The room was beautiful and you could tell they took COVID cleaning protocols seriously. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

During a tornado, I was unable to safely evacuate to the lobby using the stairs. One set said to exit at the third floor, and the other locked me in a vestibule with the locked stairwell and two other locked doors. This was a major safety concern and they need better signage/more ability for people to safely leave the building or get down to the main floor without using the elevators in the case of an emergency. The doors also implied that the stairwells were alarmed/for emergency use only when this turned out not to be the case when talking to the staff.

location…out of the city, but short drive. near the beaches. We really enjoyed how easy it was to navigate around. lots of places to walk to. We will use this hotel again.

only 1 elevator and I was on 8th floor. overall it wasn’t bad, but 2 elevators down on a holiday weekend.. Repairs happen and it didn’t hinder our stay. we had a great time.

Cleanliness of the hotel; quiet. Great furniture in commons area. Fine fireplace. Very hospitable.

Soft drink machine out of order on third floor. Ice was superb.
