Lamothe House Hotel

Location was excellent! Minutes to Frenchman St and the French Quarter. Hotel entrance and courtyard were vintage New Orleans. Reception was accommodating, luggage storage, information, taxi. Quiet street, private entrance. My room was spacious, clean, coffee machine, toiletries. AC worked well.

A mini fridge would have been nice. Very quiet except for some noise(talking moving) coming from vents connecting next room. Nothing outrageous. Some rooms are across the street from main hotel. Entrance is a gate. I felt safe but might not be for everyone.

This is one of our favorite hotels in New Orleans! We love the location. It is really close to Frenchmen St. and the French Market, as well as some of our favorite restaurants. The hotel has a lot of character, antique decor, and a beautiful courtyard area. The staff have always been extremely pleasant.

The only thing I don’t like is that there is not a luggage storage space downstairs for early arrival. This means having to carry suitcases up the very old staircase. This is a minor inconvenience in comparison to all of the positives about this property.

This hotel is housed in an old New Orleans property with wrought iron balconies. As original as it gets. The rooms are at the rear in a 'chalet' type configuration. Very quiet, very private. Amazingly there is a small pool. Parking is either on the street at the rear ( there is a rear gate ) or across the road in a gated hotel car park which is chargeable. We used that for the rental car. Location is perfect. Out the front entrance and Bourbon Street is 500 yards away. Out the rear entrance and there are two excellent places for breakfast. Ruby Slipper Cafe we visited twice. La Mothe is a hidden gem. A relaxing change from the run of the mill characterless "Chain" hotels.

Absolutely Nothing.

Lamothe House is the very first place we landed in when we arrived in NOLA and it was just the perfect depiction of what I had of the city in my head! The building is beautiful, very thoughtfully decorated, super charming. It screams history! I love it, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect: it's very quiet and at the same time walking distance from all the night life we were looking for (tones of live music in a 10 minute walk radius). Highly recommended!

No breakfast, but typical bakery and breakfast places close by, so not a big issue.

This is an older property going through renovations but it’s so charming with antique finishes scattered throughout , the rooms are normal size with adequate room to spread out . There’s a sweet garden pond , a pool/hot tub and seating in the central courtyard ! It’s so peaceful in a great location , a block away from all the action in either direction .

Missing extras like small refrigerator in rooms

Perfect location, very close to Bourbon St. The staff was great. The pool was perfect. We had a room with a balcony. Loved the decor and the history of the hotel.

A microwave would be nice for those late night munchies to heat up your leftovers. The TV in the bedroom didn't work. Maybe a couple of chairs for the balcony. Overall, it was still a great place to stay, and I'll be back!!!

Pool and guest house is beautiful and management were really nice and accommodating. Location is nice.

We arrived at night and didn't get any answer on both numbers for 20min so we were waiting in the street with all our luggage and that didn't feel very safe. There is a sauna or something that is pretty loud so maybe they can switch it off at night. When we got to our room we had no TV remote, lady brought a remote, it only turned it on the rest of the buttons did nothing and the TV just said no signal. When I called her she said she can't help me, sounds like a maintenance issue. Staff the next day were very nice and accommodating.

The price, location and the fact it was an older style Inn for a true NOLA experience

Not a lot of room in the 2 queen room for suitcases, so that was a little tight. And right beside the back gate

We were moved to the inn on St.Peter The location and Ms. Carol and Ms. Brenda were amazing the hospitality is unmatched. The location was central to everything private and quiet even with a bar directly across the street

We were moved the same day as check in due to air conditioning issues. The sister property does not have parking. Property could have been a little cleaner there are wood floors were a little gritty and there are no microwaves

The location is great, 100m to frenchmen street. The hotel is a typical New Orleans building. The swimming pool is great (38°C air). The bed was very good. The possibilty to have a parking is very important because of the difficulties to park in Nola. There was a coffee/tea maker in the room and in the facilities. After a trip in Nola, it's a good place to have a pleasant stop.

The room was smaller than expected. There is no fridge.
