My wife and I spent two nights here for a last minute getaway. Did not have a lot of choices due to the fact it was last minute but very very happy this was available. Very nice and attentive staff greeted us at check-in the rooms were very well kept and it really felt like a Cape Cod room. Bedding was clean and comfortable, and room remade on a daily basis. Just minutes away from the beach, ferries to the vineyard and Main Street. The only thing that could have been better was morning breakfast, a bit underwhelming and the weather but that is not the Inns issue. We will definately stay hear again as a first choice.

Breakfast Choices

The Red Horse Inn (really more like a motel than an "inn"- not a criticism, just an observation) exceeded our expectations. The facilities are clean, the manager (Kathy) was friendly and efficient, and the price was reasonable. While nothing fancy, the breakfast offerings (coffee, muffins, bagels, etc.) were a welcome surprise and a bonus as far as we were concerned. (I mention this in part because some reviewers were critical of the breakfast.)

I have nothing negative to say about this establishment. If you are looking for someplace luxurious with a lot of bells and whistles that is on the water or has a scenic view, this is not for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a practical, clean, reasonably priced place to spend a night or two, it is a good choice.

Great location very close to the Island Queen ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Room was large with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, fridge etc. Coffee and hot water available all day in the Barn as well as kettles and mugs to borrow for your room, great when you want to make tea. Continental breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, bagels and muffins in the Barn too. We walked to La Cucina restaurant in the centre of Falmouth one night, about a mile each way. Also ate at Pier 37 Boathouse which is much closer. Plenty of car parking around the property. Hosts were very helpful and emailed to say our room was ready early. Beach towels also available to borrow from the Barn.

The windows only have Louvre blinds which did let in some light. It didn’t bother us too much and you could wear an eye mask.

This was a great place to stay. Our room was decorated sweetly with white wicker. It wasn’t a huge room or bathroom but everything was thoughtfully placed to make it so convenient to use. The bed was comfortable and both the heat and ac worked fine. We used the refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast in the little barn house was all we needed and I enjoyed having the hot water for tea. The staff were nice and housekeeping did a great job. The location is perfect - right there by the ferry. I plan to visit again.

We had a great stay at the Red Horse Inn. The owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome at check-in. The complimentary breakfast in “the barn” was a great start every morning with a lot of options and we really liked the cranberry muffins. The Island Queen ferry to Martha’s Vineyard is just a few minutes walk away and so this ended up being a great place to stay off island. We’ll be back next summer for sure!

The Inn was like a “home away from home”. . Loved the charming country barn and outside area where you could relax, have a continental breakfast, read a book, relax before or between outings. Normally, when we stay at a hotel, we see it as a “place to put our heads down” between outings. In this case, we unexpectedly found ourselves trying to make as much time as we could to also enjoy the peace of the Inn. In addition to the quaint barn, the Country rooms are just beautiful. We were there for four days and it was honestly (and surprisingly) hard to leave the Red Horse Inn. We told the Manager that we would absolutely make a point of returning. The staff and care as well was excellent.

There could have been a few more options for the Continental Breakfast but it was still adequate.

Everything was perfect-

We liked absolutely everything! It's a a very cozy and friendly place, where you really feel the Cape Cod relaxed vibe. The breakfast and the access to the barn is just great! The staff were very friendly and the recommendations booklet really feels like it was made with love and purpose. So many great things to do and see nearby - great restaurants too.

Everything was amazing. The room was immaculate and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Staff was incredibly sweet incredibly sweet everything I needed was at my fingertips. Everything you needed was in one direction shopping malls restaurants within 3 minutes and in the other direction in 5 minutes was the historic district with more upscaled shopping and restaurants it was 5 minutes from the ferry.

The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have more time to spend there.

The room is clean and comfortable with a ceiling fan to make it cozy. The tasty and fresh home made muffins were still hot when we ate the breakfast. Actually the breakfast place is very cozy with indoor and outdoor areas with flower bushes around, patio umbrellas, etc., gave us a very pleasant feeling.

The parking lot is on raw paved land, but it was not too bad anyway.
