Hampton Inn & Suites Duluth North Mn

We stayed at The Hampton Inn while visiting our son that attends college in Duluth. We were very pleased with our stay. The staff was friendly and the hotel was inviting. The breakfast was an average hotel breakfast, nothing special but good. Plenty of seating. There is so much to see and do in Duluth but still had time to visit the pool and hot tub, which was clean and relaxing. There are many restaurants close by along with shopping.

I did not care for the full bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached to the shower wall. We ended up going to Target to purchase our own. Not a huge deal though.

The room was beautiful, clean and well-stocked. The indoor pool and hot tub were great. The hot breakfast was substantial and delicious and the people who work in the kitchen were incredibly nice. There was a choice of light or dark roast coffee - with the option for real half and half, not just non-dairy creamer.

I felt they were understaffed. When my room didn't get cleaned the day I asked, I had to ask the poor girl at the front desk to bring up extra towels, etc. She was the only one on staff. I feel like the problems are at the corporate level and the employees have to take the brunt of the guest's irritation.

The company doing your booking (Everbrite?) I was first at the wrong Hampton Inn (North Duluth) , and I had trouble cancelling that stay and going to Hampton, Canal Street. I found Everbrite not agreeing to my cancellation, and accomplished this task only by phone with the Hamton Canal Street Staff.

The hotel was very clean with friendly personnel. Pool hours were good and there were a lot of amenities. Beds were very comfy. Room was spacious but odd set up with beds and couch facing each other and TV on a side wall so you couldn't watch from either straight on. We were in a queen suite.

We didn't know the housekeeping service was "opt-in." No one ever replaced towels in our three day stay. We nearly ran out of TP. We did run out of make up wipes.

I appreciated how clean, orderly and fresh everything felt, from the lobby to our room. The cleaning and maintenance staff are doing an excellent job. Our interactions with hotel staff were quick, pleasant and helpful—they made checking in seamless and easy. And as a bonus, the breakfast room staff saw us bundled up and ready to leave in the morning (it was -25 outside) and they guessed that we might like to-go bags, and brought them out for us. Exactly what we needed and they were such sweet people! I was not expecting a lot from our stay, but ended up being impressed all around.

Staff was great. Facilities were nice. Back patio was great. Pool was great and clean. Hot tub was very clean. The maintenance crew at this place were busy and they did a mighty fine job.

The fire pit out on the patio was not in working order. Our tv in our double queen suite was set up in a really inconvenient location.

When you walk into a hotel the first thing you see is the main lobby, it was clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas, and it felt very warm and welcoming! The front desk staff was very friendly, got us quickly checked in, and pointed us in the direction of our room. Waking up in the morning and watching the deer was a highlight

There wasn't a thing to dislike about this hotel!

Very clean and comfortable. I love to stay in Hilton hotel because I know what I get.

I called to ask if the rooms has a microwave since I didn’t remember if the Hampton has it and the lady told me every room has a microwave which was not true. I had to use the lobby microwave. Not my preference.

Spacious, breakfast was good overall, and everything was clean.

TV is weirdly situated in neither a bed nor a couch direction. It'd have been better to add a swivel mount. Some of the breakfast workers were overly worried about things like the waffles or if I borrowed a neighboring chair. Like OCD/perfectionist worried.

The breakfast was very good and the seating area was nice. When we came down there were a lot of people eating, so we ended up taking our food to the room, but the seating area was pleasant looking and clean.

Nothing. We didn't have any complaints.
