Days Inn by Wyndham Duluth Lakewalk

Room was clean-only complaint would be the toliet is pretty low (Brace yourself for a rough landing) (hubby is almost 6' and he had a sit down job to do and when he came out he said man I felt like I was chewing on my knee caps (lol) also a liitle lacky on space in toliet/shower area. Toliet paper is behind the door and you have to swing to the side when on pot to close the door to get to the TP. I did love the fact that the bathroom and sink area each had a seperate light. We left the bathroom light on during the night (I am a klutz) being that area is around a wall the light didn't shine in the sleeping area. Everything else was great. Nice to have been able to pull around the back where our room was on the 2nd floor. Who dont love a ice machine-good location near the door also a pop machine available also. Trolly cart is available by the entrance door. Best part is they allow pets (small fee per day). Nice grassy area's to take your dog to do the duties. These area's were really clean (no loads of poo)(husband for sure would of stepped in any). Remember to bring your poo bags to keep the area clean. We asked a cleaning lady for a small bag so we could pick up the poo. (forgot to bring some) she mentioned they had bags available by the door to clean up the messes-I looked at I didnt not noticend didnt see any. (more than likely didn't notice them). Free breakfast choices were great and stocked, food was delicious. (Biscuit and gravy fan here). Nice sit down area if you wanted to eat in breakfast room (we chose to eat in our room). Our room had a microwave and fridge (We microwaved a frozen lasgana). Fridge was cold and had a good amount of space. Nice location not far from things and easy acesss to 35. You can see some of Lake Superior when standing out in the parking lot. Burger King across the street and Mcdonalds was next door. I would highly recommened staying at this place. 4.99 stars (only because of the low toliet).

The bathroom design should be better.

We weren't able to have breakfast on the two mornings we were there. I ran Grandma's Marathon and had to get to the DECC early. My husband had to take me so he stayed in town all day. Sunday morning we had family plans so we left before breakfast was served. I was able to get a banana before we left for the DECC. I know food was available for the runners, we just didn't stop for it.

I understand there was a big event in Duluth that weekend but we paid almost $800 for our stay. Other hotels offer more amenities and bigger rooms for that price.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room very clean and tidy and the breakfast served went beyond what was expected during this time of covid. The only criticism would hopefully be constructive and that is that the calking in the bathroom should be replaced to give it a nice clean look instead of the "old property" look with some mold on it. It's impossible for the cleaning staff to clean that away.

The parking lot could use some help!

Nice, spacious room, very clean and quiet. I liked having a couch in the room. Close to the Lakewalk. Great places to eat nearby. Great location to meet with family. Good breakfast choices for people with kids.

More adult type breakfast choices - like Greek yogurt. Would be nice to have a newspaper available. Had to get back to the hotel early in the evening in order to get a parking space!

Days Inn in Duluth is easy to find right off of the interstate. The drive into the property is strange. That said, we went through the office process quickly, parked in the rear, and was in our room quickly. Laundry on site and we used it with no problem. Fast food restaurants steps away. Our room was huge with an enormous bed. Wifi excellent. Plenty of sitting and relaxing area. Breakfast was fine with excellent coffee.

Everything went well. This stay exceeded my expectations. Spaciousness and amenities of the room, services and amenities of the hotel and the friendliness and helpfulness of staff was as it should be in a hotel. The place doesn't look like much on the outside and the entrance/exit is a little awkward and the overall decor on the inside could be updated, but that didn't have any impact on our stay. I liked it and would definitely stay there again.

Decor could be brightened up some

The breakfast was a bit let down. There was not a single type of bread or bagel, the eggs was a product of egg, not egg. The sausage was very oily and fat. The muffins were the prepacked kind… I would expect the hotel would have bakery goods from a local bakery. No need for big selection, but at least a couple types of fresh bread and muffins? For fruits there were only bananas that were green and apples. We actually left and went for breakfast elsewhere. The receptionist was very polite and friendly. He did his job. The room itself was nice and clean but I did request the quietest room available, maybe a corner one regardless of price but we ended up in the middle on some motorcyclist that were having some fun. Luckily I had an app for white noise and used it with my kid who has ASD and is very sensitive.

When I checked in on Thanksgiving the clerk was amazing- he was friendly and engaging. The location, the hotel was quiet and clean. The breakfast had numerous choices and was fresh.

I wish I had known we could have bought tickets and used the waterpark across the street. I did not know there was a sauna in the hotel.

Location was convenient, room, while small, was very clean, hosts were very friendly and attentive. Hotel is old, but everything was clean. Price was exceptionally high because of weekend we booked, but everywhere is high that weekend

The longer breakfast period was appreciated. Front desk staff was very personable.

No room cleanup and soap/shampoo refresh the whole 4 days we were there. Limited breakfast. Third floor fitness room with no elevator. I need to work some equipment but have difficulty with stairs.
