Hampton Inn by Hilton Garden City Long Island

The staff were exceptionally friendly. The room was spacious, clean and well outfitted with a microwave and fridge. There was also plenty of parking, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, and the LIRR is within a reasonable walking distance.

There weren't many options that were both gluten and dairy free for me at breakfast, but Wholefoods is next door. The room was also unnecessarily large for me as a solo travel; I'd like a smaller room if it meant saving some money.

All the staff were very friendly. They greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. Also, I like that there was a nice breakfast area to sit and eat the hot breakfast. My bedroom suite was a nice size, clean and with comfortable beds. I like that there was a tub to relax in. Many hotels now only have showers.

Although I had a room upgrade, I didn't like the view of the roof. Also, there was rust on the bathroom grab bar.

This is a great hotel, it has the feel of an old family run inn and it’s really down to the staff who go above and beyond in a very authentic way. great free breakfast, good size pool, comfortable beds, it’s quiet, there is coffee and water available all day, there is a little snack shop, there is a laundry — it had everything you need and is in a great area

there was nothing we didn’t like

The breakfast was awesome. The staff was wonderful and over-accomodating. The pool area was clean and inviting. The business facility was accessible and easy to use. The laundry room was clean and the machines were modern and working properly. Plus there was ample room to wash and fold clothes without being on top of other patrons.

The ice machine area was unsightly. People left their trash by the elevator, but that was out of the hotel's control.

Room was spacious all around. had enough room even to workout in my own room without being concerned about running into something. Whole Foods is right outside the building so I could walk and get groceries. Nice mall across the street if you need to get some shopping done.

A/C was too damn loud. falling back asleep once I woke up was not possible. for reasons I wasn’t able to figure out, my room was essentially vibrating the entire stay and it was very damn annoying. tv worked but the user interface for the cable package was something out of the early 2000s and just atrocious.

Clean as could be. The hotel was immaculate. The pillows are plush. The breakfast was decent but not amazing. The bathroom was spotless, and they actually had bathroom fans, which too many cheaper hotels scrimp on.

I need a plusher mattress, but I also have a bad hip so I’m extremely picky.

location, cleanliness, ample parking, complimentary breakfast. Morning front desk clerk on check out day Monday 10/18 at front desk was very welcoming. He greeted us with such enthusiasm and happiness. Very kind gentleman that brightened up our morning:). (sorry forgot to ask his name)

Came into town from out of state to attend Breast Cancer walk and chose your hotel because of the great reviews and ratings. Alex the young fellow who checked us in was not welcoming at all. Didn’t appear to be in a good mood.

The breakfast staff started to put away the food approximately 20 minutes before the end of the breakfast hour, and as a result, we weren’t able to eat what we wanted to eat for breakfast. Specifically, there was no oatmeal, asked for oatmeal, was towed the oatmeal was finished, and no more would be made.

It was clean, comfortable and roomy. The downstairs lobby was spacious. also it was near shopping and the Highway. I really liked it for the class of hotel it is. It is not a high end, luxury hotel but it’s excellent for the type of family friendly moderate priced people they serve.

Music too loud in the lobby in the morning. Needs to be soothing music

everyone is so friendly.

the only thing that was bad was the fact that we had to switch rooms because the beds smelled like urine in the original room we were in.
