Hampton Inn & Suites Syracuse/Carrier Circle

We stayed at the Carrier Circle location in Dewitt NY. The desk employee, Rome, was wonderful to deal with and warmly greeted you with a big smile every day. All of the employees were top notch and the breakfast was a nice touch,

What I dint care for was that there were no drawers for your clothes in the room. In addition, there was only one common door for the bathroom and closet so if someone was using the bathroom, you could not go into the closest without exposing the person in the bathroom. The printer in the business center didn't work so i could not print my document.

Spacious rooms with fold out couches which helped because we have big kids- ages 14-22. Good breakfast area with typical hotel breakfast- waffles, oatmeal, eggs (probably powdered but was fine), muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. One of our rooms was called a “queen suite”- it had 2 queen beds, fold out couch, very large room but not a separate bedroom with a door which my husband was expecting. Bathroom doors in the rooms are sliding barn doors which didn’t feel very “private”- however in the larger queen suite there was another inner (locking) door with the toilet & tub/shower behind it. The normal room didn’t have this- just the “suite.”

pool was just okay according to my kids- I didn’t actually see it. I think it was just smaller than the one at the hotel where we were the previous night. (see above comment about barn doors for the bathrooms)

Great for myself 3 kids nephew and sister we were all very comfortable the room was very spacious and clean.the pool was nice breakfast was nice and so was the coffee

only thing I wasn’t pleased with was it was 6 of us in the room they only gave 2 towels and 2 washcloths. Also couldn’t tell if it was my neighbors or upstairs but after 12a we heard alot of loud noises and thuds not good with a 11m old baby trying to sleep

Breakfast was good, but seating was difficult. Room cleaner was the nicest person we encountered, but also the only one to actually acknowledge us more than was necessary.

Room was not ready when we checked in - had to wait in the lobby for well over 1/2 an hour, then still ask if our room was ready. No one pointed out we would have been better served accessing room through a different/easier door - Very long walk with luggage. Room was nice size, but lacked sufficient lighting for lounge area. Also, only one extra blanket and no extra pillows for sleeping on sofabed. Only two washcloths for four people, but there were enough towels. Also, when I went to front desk to ask a question, no one was there.

The room was very clean and the staff was helpful. At the time, they followed and enforced all the Covid restrictions. The breakfast was prepackaged (again due to Covid), but there was a variety of items even gluten free bagels!

Nowhere on Booking did it say that the pool was closed due to covid restrictions. I decided to stay here and pay a bit more for the pool (as the other listings stated that their pools were closed). It's unfortunate that this information wasn't listed on the booking. However, everything else was great about the hotel.

The desk staff upon arriving was super helpful and nice (Marcus). Greeted us with a warm smile and when asked about food he gave suggestions and a list of places nearby. Told us his name and seemed happy to be there! The room was clean as well as the other parts of the hotel! The breakfast was better than most places.

The pool area is super small and way to hot. The breakfast area needs more organization.

We love the location of this hotel. We are in the area to visit our daughter at school and this is 10 minutes from the school but in a nice quiet location near great eating places. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the rooms are very quiet - never hear anyone else! Unfortunately, breakfasts are still grab and go but they do have a better selection then other hotels.

This past stay, we had a room on the 4th floor and I was a little disappointed in that the room could use an update. The rug was worn as was the shade on the window. Other times, we have stayed on lower floors and the rooms have been great.

Staff was very pleasant & attentive to our requests & needs. Check in and check out was a breeze. Rooms were very spacious and beds comfortable. Breakfast was ok.

The shower/tub faucet did not work properly. Possibly a loose fixture. We should have mentioned this to maintenance, we forgot. My digital room key only worked for a short time, then I was not able to reprogram it on my phone. We had key cards that didn't work every time :( The a/c unit was a bit loud.

Room was awesome, spacious and comfortable

Late night front desk person was grumpy and told us no food delivery services were open when in fact we had pizza delivered to the hotel.

Marcus went above & beyond and assisted me with errors on behalf of Booking.com! The cleanliness, roominess of the room & comfortable beds! Only one think that I didn't care for was the air conditioning unit should be on the bed side & not the LR side. Other than that our stay was phenomenal!!
