Homewood Suites by Hilton Syracuse - Carrier Circle

Breakfast was great, loved the options of the hot food and drinks. The pool was very nice, we had fun swimming. The outdoor patio area was really nice too, plenty of seating. Our room was very comfortable, and clean, we liked that there were plenty of lamps for softer lighting in the evening. The shade on the window was great at blocking light and providing privacy. We also liked that it was quiet. We didn't hear noise from other hotel rooms.

The road to turn on for the hotel was hard to see the first time. It looked more like a driveway, and had a small road sign. I missed it the first time because the tall grass and reeds in the ditch almost completely blocked the sign. Also, the same of the hotel was only on the front of it. It would have been nice to have the name on the back that faces the main road to help point it out more. The other thing was, we wanted to cook our own dinner, but the pans didn't seem very clean, but there was no dish soap, only a dishwasher pod. And there were no spatulas or larger spoons for stirring food. We managed ok, though, since we were only there for the weekend.

Spacious 1-bedroom suite, comfy Queen beds with assorted pillows. Full kitchen, good breakfast (by U.S. expectations), friendly and helpful staff. Quiet stay. Other places overflown/overpriced on New Year's eve, this one was decent at $300/night total for the family. Heated indoor pool and gym somehow managed to be vacant for us at times we used it (and occupied by 1-2 families whenever we passed by - probably won't fit 3 families).

They should hire another room-cleaning company - sofa bed full of bread crumbles, desk-lamp looked screwed-to-the table but turned out stuck to table by residues of sweet drink, sofa sheets in closet were previously-used - cleaners didn't see/replace (happy we had our own linens). Armchairs not rundown yet, but begging for wet/carpet cleaner. Other items appeared nice&clean, floors were super-clean: worn white socks for 2 days - the soles are still white.

Suites are comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful. I visit this area 3-4 times a year, and I like staying at this property.

Pricey for an extended stay, IMHO. I'm also not happy with the side entry doors. At times it reeked of cigarettes and cigarette butts were strewn all over the ground. Litter outside doesn't appear to be cleaned up often enough. For the price, it's my opinion that the outside property is poorly maintained insofar as litter.

The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I came with my dog and we were both stressed due to a family emergency; the room was peaceful and comforting. The staff sent text messages to check in; this was really great. The location provided a nice area to walk my dog every morning and evening.

There were some crumbs and dirt between the fridge and wall. It would have been nice if the kitchen came with a sponge to wash dishes or wipe down surfaces. One kitchen staff was rude when I came to breakfast late. I did not know that the breakfast schedule changes; she was very abrupt and did not explain this to me. Rather, she assumed that I just didn't care.

Very clean, beautiful hotel. Rooms were very nice, fridge was full size, stand up shower was nice, and breakfast was very good. Pool was nice as well, gym looked well set up, and they offered complimentary water and fruit/snacks.

Not all rooms had bathtubs.

This hotel is clean. Check in is quick & easy & the lobby is nice too. The hallways are clean & easy to navigate. Breakfast is very good with lots of choices. And there's lots of seating. There's outdoor seating too. There's an area for grilling too. I would defintely stay here again!

3 of each utensil, 4 plates and there was 5 of us. No metal forks could be found anywhere at the front desk or kitchen. Could have used some dish soap in the room so we could have cleaned and reused. Would have like pancakes/waffles/french toast and eggs with breakfast.

Internet. I paid $4.95 for internet, but I could not use it to work because there is no way to connect without the log in page. My work laptop does not allow such a page. I wish there was a way that, if you are paying for a day of internet, you can bypass the connect page..

Time spent with family in a nice trusting hotel. Loved that the pool was heated !

Breakfast was great for me but not my significant other. In the middle of the night it sounded as if someone knocked our door. Was a bit frightened from that as it was late at night.

1 of the very slim number of all the hotels in the area that had their pool open. Hotel and room was in great shape overall. Comfortable bed, updated decor/rooms.

Seemed to be a lack of staff, but that seems to be normal everywhere. My son got sick in lobby from something he ate, we cleaned it up, but nothing else was done. The next morning we could tell that the floor wasn't cleaned properly/disinfected.
