Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Johnstown

This Micro-tel was in a great location for the area we wanted to visit. We liked the room's layout; there was plenty of space to put items. In addition to a luggage rack, the window seat was large enough to hold suitcases. There was excellent lighting throughout the room. The roll-in shower was one of the nicest we have seen; it had 2 positions for the shower head, and the towels were the softest we have seen in a motel. It was nice to have the refrigerator up on the counter so we did not have to bend over to get items. The breakfast room was very comfortable, and had a good variety of choices. Coffee, tea, and juices were available 24 hours.

The telephone communication at the hotel was a limited transaction, "Jay Karl F." was polite but we were made to pay in order t have somewhere to stay upon our arrival time. THAT was not acceptable. Additionally, we do not believe we should have to wait 7-12 business days for our refund. Booking.com took our payment for the online booking in less than 5 minutes. The price was right. It is a great location, for what we were there to do. Lots of food/shopping right nearby. The room is adequate size for two people. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean, with plenty of toiletries. The shower was amazing..no issues with hot water and great water pressure.

Every time we stay here, people are so loud. I understand kids being excited and such, but adults could maybe try to be a bit more considerate. This is in no way the hotels fault. Our room was the one right by the breakfast nook, so it was very loud from very early in the morning on. The room could have used a little more attention to cleanliness, such as fridge/microwave area. But really, for the price you can not beat this place.

Friendly and efficient check-in, nice welcome note from the housekeeping team (lovely touch), very comfortable bed and great selection of toiletries in a nice presentation basket.

it would have been nice if breakfast could have been started earlier - even just coffee and pastries. we left at about 5.45am, which I know is early, so missed out. We went out for a run around 4.30am and there were lots of guests who were clearly road workers who were also starting to head out at that time, so I am sure we were not the only ones who would have appreciated it. There was no kettle in the room and I feel that in the absence of an earlier start for breakfast, coffee making facilities are a must.

The young lady who checked us in was so nice that it started our stay off well. I liked the little things in the room that said important guests stay here. More than enough towels, the decorative sash and pillow on the bed, even the way the shower curtain was arranged and the little basket with the toiletries and wash cloths - just little extra touches of welcome. I did not see any trash or unfinished projects outside or dings on the walls, stains on the carpet, etc. inside - very well maintained and cleaned. The more mature lady who checked us out was very nice as well so a great stay - beginning to end!

Everything was great. Customer service was terrific. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast. was very good. We were passing through and the way further north into the Adirondacks, and the location was convenient for us.

They could use an extra waffle machine at the breakfast buffet to minimize waiting time. Otehrwise the place was really nice. It's just too bad there's no indoor swimming pool...

The hotel was in a safe area, the room was clean and spacious. It had a microwave oven and a small fridge. Overall this hotel offered great value for money. I recommend it.

I liked everything, I would have liked to have an electric boiler for hot water in the room.

Very friendly staff...rooms were semi-quiet but clean

Room key wouldn't stay programmed..went to front desk and they reprogrammed it with no problem..but without verifying if I was the correct resident to that room. They took key and just reprogrammed it w/o proof.

Great a lot of variety of food, it was awesome. The place was spotless ,very comfortable and neat

Was too tired to dislike anything but I did not like the smell of the pillow and the sheet. I had to covered it with a towel in order to fall asleep . Maybe it was the detergent, because I'm very sensitive with smell.

The breakfast was fresh and had variety. rooms were very clean. staff was wonderful. had a cool fire pit too.

There wasn't much missing though I wished there was more to do with the family while there. I have 3 small kids 1,3,8yr olds. I felt bad because my kids trashed the place with food bits everywhere 😕.
